    something I contributed is that you can pass custom parsing functions to the file loader, which lets you use toml or csv files as a data source!

    Astro's just charming. It's the love you can't stop loving. Game-changer.

    really cool how datasources and displaying the data is seperated so cleanly. Would be cool if once could also use those loaders dynamically instead of only build time.

      You can with SSR!

      @@CodinginPublic oh yeah right! does that mean I can also use the loaders in an astro endpoint and then acess the data dynamically via a svelte/react component?

      @CodinginPublic No, content collections are only updated at build time, even in SSR mode.

    Do you have any tutorials on how to integrate an Astro blog with a CMS such as Sanity or Strapi, from start to finish? Thanks.

    How did you instantly console log "posts" at 3:26? That's a pretty neat feature. Is that exclusive to astro?

    Could you please make a video: how to make an image lightbox and also gallery in astro?

      I'll consider it. The nice thing is because you can pull in any framework UI, pretty much any tutorial will work in Astro. And if you're using plain HTML/CSS, it's even easier :)

    Can you please tell us "How to render mdx/mdoc with custom components, markdown content fetched from github content repository ? "

    • @Phanboy
      @Phanboy 2 місяці тому

      If your codebase lives in the same repo as the markdown, do you even need to fetch it? Or are you saying a strictly content repo

    • @SirJagerYT
      @SirJagerYT 2 місяці тому +1

      @@Phanboy I am saying seperate content repo for notes, projects, blog posts. Where as code lives in seperate repo. BTW stopped looking, Currently keeping content and src code in same repo for now, unti i find better solution.
      Problem is once u seperate content and src code, you cant use MDX Components, and can not get , you will have to use set:html in order to render compiled html.

  • @arturkre5793

    i waited sooo long for this as i never wanted to just use MD files in the project itself but wanted to use this syntactic sugar for 3rd party data - finally !

    I dont know if I'm doing something wrong, but it seams to fail when you activate the contentCollectionCache with contentLayer

    My only gripe w/ Astro and JS frameworks in general is the errors and the meaningfulness around them suck. Its unfortunate.

      @CodinginPublic  Місяць тому

      Huh. That’s interesting. I’ve had a very different experience, especially since 4.0. They massively improved the error states and I’ve been much happier. Interested in your perspective more.

    hi CIP, i'm not a js developer, but i love the way you explain astro issues, do you think it's possible to use astro with tailwind, alpinejs and htmx ... it's according me a amazing stack :), what do you think?

    • @josselinhanel6327
      @josselinhanel6327 Місяць тому +1

      I think we can do so much stuff with this stack, that's the one I choosed too, still learning how to use everything because web developping is quite recent for me but I feel this stack is underappreciated so I want to prove we can do great things in an easier way with it.
