Been carving small scale for a few months, have probably 2 dozen decent carvings done in basswood and pine, been educating myself a bit before I get out the saws and make a mess, but it's coming. You've been a big help, I like the way you explain the different techniques and how to use them. It's very helpful. I've already used your owl eyes on my small scale owls. They translate down well, but you have to drop off or paint in some of the elements on smaller owls.
    Thanks!

Very helpful regarding those techniques with the wings, I was most impressed as really needed to learn this basic style, well explained and I'll look forward to seeing more.

Loving the videos and all the helpful tips. Great backing tracks really pull you into the video.
Throughout this year you're videos have helped me create some special works that others love as much as I. Even sold a few, though its not my main aim in what I'm doing.

Great videos! Seriously all of them are wonderful.
I’m a long time listener-first time caller here and was wondering if you could at some point help educate us on the different species of wood you’ve worked with as well as their pros & cons.
The region I live in, San Bernardino mountains (S. California) is primarily limited to pine. Any thoughts/comments on the importance of wood species would be greatly appreciated.
    Keep up the Great work!
    Eddie
