After leaving the series in 1926, Mary kept performing on stage, and later returned to the screen. She appeared in movies until her retirement in 1940. She died of cancer in 1973.
Jackie Lynn Taylor passed away two days ago. She looked soo beautiful in her youth, I would probably date her in those days. Rest in peace to another great legend
Really. What is bizarre is that someone could see anything more than a bunch of little girls in a dance line. Do you get disturbed watching kids doing gymnastics and ballet too?
@Licmycat No I (thankfully) was never abused as a child. I am sorry for what you went through. However, although I seriously have empathy for your immediate judgement, I think you should be careful with some of your comments... That's all. Have a great weekend!
Many of these kids were sexually abused. Read the book by Lillian Roth "I'll cry tomorrow". Sad, putting kids in adult situations. Where in hk*ll were their parents? They didn't appear on the show and in life as well it seems.
No, in fact I think only 3 of them were buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery (Alfalfa, Alfalfa's brother Harold, and Darla). Some of them were cremated too
i could listen to elderly people tell stories about their younger years all day long
I never knew this documentary existed. Leonard Maltin did NOT mention it in his book about "Our Gang." Thank you for posting this !
Thank you so much for uploading this! I don't think I've ever seen Hal Roach speak before...
For my approval, absolutely, this is one great post, thank you!!!

Sunshine Sammy was also the guy who played in the East Side kids with Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall.

About the girls doing the rockettes routine, understand that this was a very different period.
I think they showed this on WPIX in New York but it was sooooo long ago.
11Alive.
How can you overlook Farina!
Dickie Moore, Jean Darling, Robert Blake, Sidney "Woim" Kibrick, and a ton of supporting players and extras.
This is Gold...
Whenever I hear the Little Rascals song, I think about Eddie Murphy as Buckwheat on SNL.

Thanks for the info. I will reread Maltin's book.

No, he (and Richard Bann) didn't mention this documentary, but they used quotes from it.
Why do the opening titles list Hal Roach Sr as Hal Roach Jr????
