I've always found gakgung to be fascinating! I watched a UA-cam video on the creation of these bows in which the bow maker uses isinglass to fix bamboo limbs onto the middle piece that is made of mulberry. It's amazing to know how strong naturally occurring glues are. On a side note, I wonder if any Korean archery ranges allow for arrows with lighted nocks or even flaming arrows so that a person can see the path taken by an arrow over such long distances.
