I normally use a 25,000mm f/.01 lens when I shoot Pterodactyls in the Brazilian rain forest. All using hand held with 250 stops of vibration compensators. You can see the veins in there esophagus with razor sharp clarity. Only available on a Fuji system though.
Hi Hasam. Canon's APS-C cameras, like the 90D, have a 1.63x crop factor. So this Tamron 150-600 will act more like a 243-972mm lens. Thanks for watching!
I am using the Tamron 150-600mm g2 on a Canon 6d Markii. For the birds in flight, I can't get it to focus without using the focus ring, which I then miss the shot because I am trying to hand hold the lens as well as back button focusing. I am new at bird photography so please advise me as to what I can do to improve this method so that I don't keep missing opportunities of birds in flight. Thank you!
Hello, Chloette Eddy. I would recommend looking into the camera’s AF custom function setting menu. By default, it should perform well for most cases, but I would recommend getting familiar with the settings so that the camera is set up appropriately for your specific shooting environment. Grant Atkinson offers a very detailed article on his website titled Canon 6D Mark II set up for wildlife photography. In it, they go through and explain all the settings in detail and discuss how each setting works best for them. Thanks for watching!
would you recommend Tamton 150-600 G2 for D500? In your opinion, is it better than the Sigma 150-600 Sport and the Nikon 200-500? Is it true that at 600mm it loses some quality? Among the 3 optics, what would you recommend with D500?
You're welcome. Very good AF tracking capabilities with the D500, lighter weight than the Sigma Sport, Weather sealed, and it gives you more reach than the Nikon.
Hello Lim Ch. Tamron offers the Tap-In Console to update the firmware on the 150-600mm G2 lens. You wouldn't need to update the firmware on or through your camera. Thanks for watching!
Hello Venkatesh A. The Tamron 150-600mm lens is great for a variety of photographic applications. You can use it for sports or wildlife photography (including birds), and pretty much anything where you want to pull in a distant subject.
Hey Gragery Yong. I've heard it is a great option for Sony full-frame shooters, but we haven't had the chance to test it out for ourselves. What would you want to see in the review?
