*_Like legions of others here, I laughed so hard, felt my heart climb into my throat, then ended up so freakin happy for the street justice given to that S.O.B. Steve Fargo !!!_*
@ettamaycomedy There was a family in our town with 8 children. Only 1 girl, the youngest. She was asked out by a guy who had a lot of stories to tell in the locker room. When he came to pick his date up, the 7 brothers went out to his car and told him "you're not taking *_our_* sister anywhere." He left and the brothers went back in the house. Dad was watching TV and asked where the guy was. "He came over to apologize. He's been called to go to work tonight." Dad looked at them, nodded and went back to watching TV.
My aunt was the youngest of 10 (and with a fraternal twin) all others 12:37 were brothers. The boys in their small town in Oklahoma treated her like a queen…
Not much holds my attention anymore.. I loved this story.. I laughed, almost caught a tear. True entertainment that you just don't see anymore... Much love from Texas 💓💓💓💓💓
OMW..I can't stop listening to her..wow, can she tell a story..and sing too..what a gifted woman she is..💯if only my teachers at school could do that..I would be hanging on their lips.

Oh Wow, Etta Mae!!! I never even knew you was from Arkansas. I grew up in Cleburn County. I even briefly dated a boy from Bald Knob. Good looking feller, he was! It didn't work out tho, bc bald knob and rose bud was basketball rivals. Wow! Those really were the good old days and family was very important and helped out each other when needed. Had the same shopping routine, find a dress that fit and was affordable. My mom made most of our clothes. You had good brothers to take care of that sorry boy. I never had any brothers so I had to take up for myself. But hey, I think you and I both turned out ok because we had families that cared. Love what ya do!!
I sure enjoy your stories. Love your humor. But this hit home on 2 accounts. Loss of blood off my shin, and waiting all evening for that date. God bless you 🙏💓
Laughing and crying at the same time. Brava Ms. May! Beautifully done; a well crafted work of art monologue. I was an "out with the out crowd" wallflower in high school myself and wasn't asked to my prom. I wonder if it's too late to go to a prom at 71? My stomach's sticking out further than my boobs, even if they were held up in suspended animation, but what the heck. God bless the wonderful men in your family. Love and hugs.

Etta may im a northernmost person in the far east. And you make me cry and also laugh so hard i have to run to the toilet... boiuw yah r phenomenal 😢😮🎉🎉❤❤
My first time shaving was nearly identical to yours, Etta! I peeled almost the entire length of my left shin with a Personal Touch shaver that had a fresh, double blade! It looked like someone was massacred! 😂 I cleaned it up secretly for fear I'd get into trouble! I was in 7th grade & I had fuzz for leg hair! One afternoon, as i awaited my fellow students to enter the bus, Sean Newsome came in, & took the seat in front of me. He was handsome, rich, & popular. I had no interest in him, knowing he ran in a crowd that I was not a part of. I was the 2nd smallest kid in m.s. I was a shy dork with braces. Boys didn't look my way. Sean turned & smiled at me & adked, "Teresa. Will you be my girlfriend?" I replied, "No." When he adked why not, i replied, "Because you dont really mean it." He abruptly faced the front of the bus. I believe i must've shamed him because he never pestered me again, nor did any of his friends. I hated that city & after graduating, I moved nearly 4 hrs away, back to my hometown. I think it was our 20-year reunion that he walked by me during the party. He graciously smiled & said hello. I smiled, saying hello in return. P.S. Coming from a strict Wesleyan home, i was not allowed to attend school dances, prom, or movies. I snuck to the movies, & to the bowling alley that sold alcohol. I didnt sneak to dances in h.s. cuz all my friends & BFs were stoners by then. We wouldnt be caught at a dance in the early 80s! Lol!
Yes I had shaved plenty but the one time I used Personal Touch I ended up with the same skin coming off that she says I still have a slight scar & it happened over 20 yrs ago. Never used that brand of razor again😂
@@jtaye2051 I still have a Personal Touch, minus the blades. I think they quit making them but I keep it for the memories! Lol! My bloody incident was back in 1977. I bore the scar for years but it's since faded. Ah, the battle acars of adolescent girls! 🤣
Absolutely fantastic storytelling! I'm sorry your prom wasn't magical, though the world kept turning even though as a teenager it feels like the world is over. I'm thankful I married my high school prom date.
Listening to you all the way From Wales, Uk. Loved your tale and your singing voice, well I wish I could sing like that. That’s how you tell a good story, loved it. X
I remember in grade school, during Christmas when all the kids went to the auditorium for the secret Santa claus,. We all stood in line to get candy. If you were a girl you got a little doll, and the boys a truck. Every year, we would stand there alphabetically A through Z. Being Wilber I was always at the end of the line watching the rest of the kids get candy and toys. When I finally got to Santa, and he reached in the bag, there was nothing left for me, all I could do was smile and walk into the bathroom and cry. That is was I became a cereal killer. Lol
Etta May, you ROCK!!! Steve Fargo doesn't even realize what he missed out on!!!!!!❤😂✌️ Honestly, I despise proms. I think they're an antiquated tradition that's for the 10% of the student body- "the popular kids" and SO cruel to the 90% of other, regular, normal high school teens. Can't wait for the day America realizes that it's a tradition best left in the past so the heartbreak ceases. I attended my prom, but I wish I could say I hadn't. Back then, like every teen, I was obsessed by it. And then I graduated and realized it was a pointless, wasteful, mean-spirited tradition supported by school administrators/teachers, which to me is the most mind boggling!
I to,came across herby accident. I put her right nextto Matt Rife. I'd love 2 see the 2 together. it would be the best show! I'd drive 500 miles to see either of them live or 1,000 to see em both. Something special for sure. Gods gift of laughter.
Greetings from Bangalore, India. I am a 64 year old woman....my, that sounds ancient! Proms are alien to us. At least they were when I was young . But I have read about them and seen in movies, TV etc and understand how much of a milestone it is in a young persons’s life in the US. I have been watching some of Etta May’s videos and find them humorous as well as though provoking. I found this video very touching. My heart went out for you, your mom, but most of all to your dad. And I so wanted to know how your brothers beat that boy Fargo up...did he learn anything’s? Did he have any decency to apologise to you? And how brave young Etta May must have been to go back to school next Monday. Thank you for this beautiful video. God Bless you.

It is not lost on me that you took the time to write me. Plus all the people that liked your message. It’s wonderful to be seen and noticed. We all desire that in our life. Be well Bob! ❤
This woman is pure gold. We need her humor for next President. Love you Etta May
*_Like legions of others here, I laughed so hard, felt my heart climb into my throat, then ended up so freakin happy for the street justice given to that S.O.B. Steve Fargo !!!_*
i would love an update on how many teeth old Steve Fargo had left after the brothers paid him a well-deserved visit 😁
You made me laugh. Nobody Has ever asked me that.😂 Thanks so much for following me It means a lot to me!❤
yeah, I bet a he wad just a little bit less handsome afterwards
@@ettamaycomedyI sincerely hope you used his real name. Lol
@ettamaycomedy There was a family in our town with 8 children. Only 1 girl, the youngest. She was asked out by a guy who had a lot of stories to tell in the locker room.
When he came to pick his date up, the 7 brothers went out to his car and told him "you're not taking *_our_* sister anywhere."
He left and the brothers went back in the house. Dad was watching TV and asked where the guy was.
"He came over to apologize. He's been called to go to work tonight."
Dad looked at them, nodded and went back to watching TV.
@@RobertJarecki That's how you do it 😀
My aunt was the youngest of 10 (and with a fraternal twin) all others 12:37 were brothers. The boys in their small town in Oklahoma treated her like a queen…
Such a talented woman. Comedy master and a surprisingly good singer. Love you Etta Mae!❤
Not much holds my attention anymore..
I loved this story..
I laughed, almost caught a tear.
True entertainment that you just don't see anymore...
Much love from Texas
💓💓💓💓💓
OMW..I can't stop listening to her..wow, can she tell a story..and sing too..what a gifted woman she is..💯if only my teachers at school could do that..I would be hanging on their lips.
Why the hell would ANYONE with half a working brain cell even THINK about teasing/bullying/standing up a girl with NINE OLDER BROTHERS?????
Well, some people have unmatched stupidity.
Exactly! 😂
@@DraganGrazic or a death wish…
Thank you for your wonderful stories!! You are fantastic!!
Those that have a death wish
Walking on air to heartbreak, many jokes along the way means pain wrapped in humor. So very well done & thank you! 👍♥💔♥👍
And this is all about life experiences!
I sat in suspense as you told the story, praying you weren't stood up by that rat, Steve, but when you got to the part where your dad danced with you, that was amazing. Thank you for your story.
Etta May! You are a brilliant story teller! I loved this clip. Love you too 💕
Love you back Heart. Thanks for the sweet message and thanks to all the people that liked it. You made my day!❤
Again I say this I love this woman. Same experience different part of the country. Thank you for giving me belly loves to start the day
I love her. She's so funny and animated😁
Not just a great comedian, but a sensational story teller and a provocateur of the mind’s eye.
I just think she is so hilarious, I stumbled by accident, and I can keep watching her over and over
I sure enjoy your stories. Love your humor. But this hit home on 2 accounts. Loss of blood off my shin, and waiting all evening for that date.
God bless you 🙏💓
😂😂😂Men have know Idea what we go through to get ready. ❤
she’s such an amazing storyteller. i clicked for the comedy but i stayed for the authenticity and artistry
Helluva way to tell a story, to make you laugh and cry.
Etta May you are the reason I just peeped my pants 😂 I laughed so hard .
Wow...just wow. I got recommended the Old School Dads Know How To Deal With Bullies video which put me in stitches. Three videos later, I'm watching this running the gambit of emotions from laughter to admiration to outright sobbing and back to laughing. You're original and genuine, a rare treat in the UA-cam Sea. Looking forward to more hours of side splitting entertainment, thank you!
Thanks GSIV for the great message. I’m not just a comic. I want to take you on a ride. That is my goal. ❤
Thank God for precious brothers.
Your humor and story telling talent just means so much to so many of us! Thanks for sticking with it so many people could share a good laugh at life.
Thank you for telling that story so sweetly.
She was the lucky one. So many kids today could use a dad like that
She was the lucky one because she was too good for a guy who would do such a thing.
I went through so many emotions in Etta May's telling of this story. Wow! The Patsy Cline song & dance had me blubbering & then all of the sudden..."I had 9 big brothers beat the tar out of Steve Fargo..."🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤
My emotions went on such a roller coaster in a span of 12 minutes that I was in need of. Thank you 😊 💜
Thank you so much for you since of humor, your love of family and your talent for sharing!!!
Oh Lady, you had me screaming with laughter and choking back tears a few minutes later. Your timing and humor is perfect!
Thank you for sharing your poetic story about your father
Girl, you just made my day!
What a wonderful storyteller!
So glad I just happened onto one of Etta May's videos. I love her. She is so funny & down to earth. Hope to see more of her & enjoy more laughs. Thank you Etta May😂❤️👍
Damn it lady, you got a tear outta me. Glad you got a dance with your Dad though, and good on your 9 brothers, they did you right.
Etta May you made me cry! I love your jokes but you on that front porch broke my heart and your daddy made me smile because it reminded me of my daddy because no matter how hard he was he loved me just like your daddy loved you. ❤
That was really good I could listen to you all day your daddy must be very proud ❤
I am addicted to watching ETTA MAY. She's got me cracking up laughing. I look forward to watching her videos all the time. Thanks Etta. You are fantastic❤
Ive just discovered you! Thank you for brightening my day. I have muscular dystrophy and dont have much to laugh at but you make me smile!
Best southern story teller I have heard in a long long time.
i laughed, cried, sighed, nostalgic suddenly. nice stoy.
I too had a Pepto Bismol pink dress! It must have been a thing back then. 😄
Absolutley story teller singer. You bring laughter through the tears. With such pride. And joy.. keep us Smiling Lady 🎉🎉🎉
I am going to share this to my whole family! This is the best stand up comedy/story time I have ever heard!! Thank you for being a wonderful storyteller☺️☺️💚💚
I absolutely love her
Omg!! PMSL !! Every Woman can relate to the leg shaving!! My worst cuts were always on my outer ankle though. Bled for hours!!! You had me filling up at the end!! I love Patsy Cline. ( One of my Auntys always sings Crazy at Family Do's❤) Thanks for the belly laughs and giving me cramp again!!!( I'm at that age!!) 🇬🇧❤😁👍🤣👏

You deserve every accolade that comes your way and more thank you for being so awesome... hope to see you in Idaho
On an evening full of sadness, you made me smile/and cry🤟
You bring a sad reality back to life but in such a funny way it makes me feel better!!!!
That made me cry AND laugh - perfectly done!
So funny EttaMay, thank you, I had to subscribe, greetings from Cyprus in the Med Sea. ❤❤🙏🙏👍👍
Lol
Santa should have made it up to you. "We're going out to my truck, I mean sleigh, and you are going to learn how to make the reindeer roar."
I can relate.
I wasn't prepared for the ending😂😂😂😂😂😂.
I can relate to the name but we didn't have a Santa in school on Long Island, New York.
Me encanta esta comediante! La estoy mirando en Uruguay. Gracias por este excelente espectáculo 😂😂😂
Etta May, you ROCK!!! Steve Fargo doesn't even realize what he missed out on!!!!!!❤😂✌️
Honestly, I despise proms.
Absolutely brilliant you had me crying & laughing towards the end 😂
Absolutely brilliant as ever. You play with emotions so very well Etta.
She needs to do a sitcom. She'd be much better than whats on now if they did sitcoms like they used to.
She would be a great Momma's Brown ...
Relatable, wholesome humor that doesn't feel rushed or forced. Thank you Etta May for the best belly laughs that I've had in years.
Thanks so much Plashua! That just made my day. This is from my 1 woman show. I love to tell life stories that are mixed with funny and sad. Showing that we all can live through the pain if we can find the humor. Have a wonderful night.
