This doesn’t mean I think the best complement is itself a great ink, just that it is a nice complement color. I am not running giveaways and I will not ask you for money. Watch out for scammers and spammers, and they want to steal your money and personal information.
Might have to get this for someone. Well behaved, a darker blue... Right up their alley. And might be a close match to the very hard to find in the US Parker Quink blue-black, which is really just a darker blue as well. Thanks for showing this! I'd kind of not really thought about TWSBI inks, though I knew they existed.
I went and looked on Amazon and found the Parker Quinn Blue/ Black: www.amazon.com/PARKER-QUINK-Ink-Bottle-Blue-Black/dp/B000J61TIM/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1GEBIC0YME12H&keywords=parker%2Bquink%2Bblue%2Bblack&qid=1684784615&sprefix=parker%2Bquink%2Bblue%2Bblack%2Caps%2C112&sr=8-1&th=1
@@AnInkGuy When I gave a Parker 45/Jotter double desk set, I tried to get it in cartridges. Clicked on blue-black, was shipped black. Maybe better luck with a bottle. 😉 They got a bottle of Robert Oster. 😁 And if I don't see a difference between the Quink blue-black of the 1940s and my current Quink blue-black from the 1970s, the same person will get the 1970s version. Not my first gift of a vintage ink. Gave 1950s Skrip washable purple to another friend. Now to get homes for some of the excess royal blue inks I have...😂
@@paulherman5822 If they ship the wrong thing, remember that isn't what you asked, and paid, for. Let them know so they can make it right. If the seller doesn't want to then Amazon will, Amazon is great about that.

I kind of like this ink. I have far too many dark blues right now to justify getting a bottle, but it is a nice ink, nonetheless. Thanks for the review!
One of the things I really liked about Parker Penman Sapphire (I had bottles of this until about 2012 or so) was that the sheening was (by modern standards) somewhat subtle, and often gave a purple-ish cast to the writing. BTW: Hobbit?
@@AnInkGuy I used it almost exclusively until it was discontinued, then bought a bunch of bottles and used it sparingly until I ran out in about 2012 or so and NOS got incredibly expensive. It was really a remarkable ink for its time.
@@Calcprof I will say that the Akkerman Shocking blue look a lot like it. Easily a drop for it I would say. You might want to try a sample of that and see if it is up to what you expect. Their bottles while cool are a bit pricy, but if you like and will use the ink then very worth it.
I got a bottle and was immediately put off by the strong smell of the ink. I can only liken it to a strong marker pen type smell. I could even detect it from the pen nib. In my Namiki Vanishing Point it dries out constantly and the fine nib hard starts all the time. If I sit to think with the nib out, it dries out and hard starts. I enjoyed the colour but the behaviour and smell from this ink just got me so annoyed I can't use it. I may just try one fill in my Pilot Custom 823 and see how it behaves out of that, but I dunno.
That is really unfortunate you had such a bad experience, but thank you for sharing that and adding it to the discussion here. Hopefully it helps someone out with their buying decisions.
Here are the direct links to Noodler's Golden Brown, an ink that I think is a great complement: ua-cam.com/video/aYNXzk5R0Gw/v-deo.html

I like the dark intensity of this ink.
Nice one - Thanks.
Glad you like it!
Right on….Really enjoyed this ink review. Love that typewriter!
Thank you!
I really like Bleu des Profondeurs, so might try to grab a sample of this too to compare them
Sampling is the safest way to go before investing into a bottle. Enjoy!

To many of similar... a danger we all run once we know exactly what colors we like using most.

Yes, the Hobbit.
I was gifted some Penman Sapphire from a family member a while age... and just found it overhyped. Though not a bad ink at all.

I used this ink and i liked it too, yet i am not planning to get another bottle.
Strange right... perfectly happy to use the bottle just not interested in another bottle. When ever this happens to me it strikes me as strange.
@@AnInkGuy it is strange and this has happened to me with a few other inks too.
