Can't watch or even just listen to Adam without an involuntary smile. Thank you Adam and Matt for the inspiration!
I still don't understand how one can be the best climber in the world for like 15 years without stopping. Insane mental strength was needed no doubt 💪 and physical haha. Go Adam !
Probably the same way Sharma did it before. I can only imagine it is some sort of secret ritual only they know.
@Aaron-xq6hv haha it seems very likely at this point that they don't just visualise the route but the hand movements are some sort of climbing black magic 😄
When climbing is your favourite thing to do its easy
@@maxdilcon5679Climbing is also my favorite thing to do but I can still barely climb slab
@@maxdilcon5679 definitely not
What a legend and what a passion he has for his sport, Adam epitomises how climbers should carry themselves.
Awesome Interview! And perfect answers !🙌 Never been as hyped as when Adam jumping on a mat ready to fight for a comp boulder ❤
Adam never fails to entertain us on the rock, and off of it. ❤
Awesome interview! Great questions and great answers!
I do hope we see Adam in the occasional comps for awhile longer, but i also LOVE his outdoor progress and videos. The guys the real deal and humble too. Humbleness seems to be rarer and rarer (well maybe not in rock climbing, but other things for sure). Its good to see. 👍
Adam, you are such an inspiration! Whatever you do with your career enjoy every minute of it!
Thank you for the interview, guys! Adam is indeed the g.o.a.t.
I am always fascinated about this guy =) I hope, he continues and get those medals+projects which he wants to have. Go Ondra! 🤩
I am hooked since the "Road to Tokyo" series ❤
Ondra ❤
🙏
We need an interview OF Matt for all this amazing commentary
Check out a Podcast called ‘that’s not real climbing’ He did an interview on there, talked a bit about his commentating, good podcast
thanks!@@JonHayes92
@@JonHayes92 ayy thank you for the shout out! 🙏
Humble Adam. You are the only complete rock climber I ever witnessed
Adam says that Hugo is 1 and 1 old. Hugo was born on May 2. Hence, this interview was in June. Not the most actual video. It's been half a year already.
Well Adam… no offense but… I don’t want to see you competing anymore (I do… 😅)…. But mainly I want to see you developing rock climbing to unimaginable levels… as Chris Sharma did (and he’s still doing)
I really think that you are the future of this sport, outdoors, nowadays
Great interview
This must have been filmed long time ago, because Project Big is not called Project Big anymore…. B.I.G. is the final name after Jakob’s FA
Judging by the clothes they're wearing outside it was definitely a few months ago. Sounds like Oct or Nov from the way he's talking.
@@Aaron-xq6hvI'd guess whenever the brixen wc was
B.I.G. FA was Sept. 20, 2023, so it has to have been sometime prior to that. @@Aaron-xq6hv
In competitions, you have the same boulders/routes, the same weather conditions, and the same/similar time of day. If you want to prove that you're better than the rest, you have to compete.
When was this interview?
Non of the asian climbers was mentioned. Tomoa? Ai? Even Sorato the best rookie this year, a phenom of the sport. 🤨
Looks like an old interview
@CJski From the discussion on Project BIG it was clear that Jakob's FA had not yet taken place, putting this prior to September 20. Also I don't think it was aiming to be a comprehensive list, but I'd agree that Sorato at least was a significant oversight.
The olympics needs to take speed climbing out.
Lol it’s already separated from boulder/lead. Or do you mean gone completely? It’s just as (or more) exciting as other race events.
@@CJski I don't like it lol
@@matthewsinclair507 ha! Fair enough
@@matthewsinclair507 It's certainly the least like the type of climbing most climbers do and thus care about (myself included), but I think it may also have been a good selling point for climbing to be included in the Olympics to begin with, since it most closely resembles traditional Olympics events. I'm just glad it got its own medal this year, the triple combined format was so rough.
@@Jivewired I agree. I guess I'm just being sour. Lol
IFSC based as usual. Its time to focus on the other great climbers that hold your business on their backs. Its very annoying to see how you guys cater to AO mostly because he has a strong youtube following. Its pretty weak IMO and is definitely dishonest to the climbing community. Guess this is what happens when you try to completely commercialize climbing. Yuck...
It's crazy to hear Adam talking about the time soon (relatively) where he won't be able to compete. Sad.
Also, bouldering should be bouldering and not parkour nonsense.
