People keep making ridiculous trade suggestions for the Nuggets. Their offense can hang with anybody, it's not firepower they're lacking. Jokic's teammates not having high point averages doesn't mean anything, it's just because that's their regular season playstyle of passing the ball around and getting everybody involved instead of catering everything through just 2 or 3 players like many other teams do. Put any high scorer on the Nuggets and they would likely only average in the low 20's since they'll have to step back as a no.2 to Jokic and still play team ball. What is the Nuggets real need is a backup center that can handle defensive capabilities. Deandre Jordan can only log in so many minutes every few games at his age plus Nnaji and Saric have been huge disappointments. Nuggets have relied on having 2 versatile power forwards trying to work together whenever Jokic is off the floor, but they desperately need a true center that can defend and rebound even if they don't offer anything offensively.
The NBA is in the 70s all over again. Let’s enjoy what we’re seeing NOW and enjoy the greats of THIS era. And eventually we’ll get back to the dynasties and dominance. It goes in cycles
Exactly that, it’s actually a little annoying how older players turned commentators seem to forget how things always have been and just being down the new generation
Y'all should learn the Salary cap rules. Nuggets didn't just "let" good players go. They couldn't offer the same amount of money because of the CBA. Stupid
They absolutely could have kept some. They would have just had more luxury tax they aren’t hard capped where they’re at like some other teams. They made the choice to not pay more taxes and look where it’s got them.
@@retrosuperfuture5348 they weren't allowed to offer Bruce Brown the same amount of money as other teams. They didn't just let him go. Jeff Green is old. KCP would've put them way over the second apron, preventing them from signing a mid level exception, as well as certain trades. It’s funny talking about a Fox trade. That probably won’t happen. We should be talking about a KD trade as he’s coming up on his usual trade request timeline & the Suns are going NOWHERE fast

Plenty teams have been trash with a player then turned it around way later with the same player Olajuwon Rockets was almost literally the same, he called them out in the media saying he wanted to leave for years Perks Celtics before he got their struggled for years with Paul Pierce before they got the big 3 Like please define what you want even talking about and give the examples where you say players moved and it then worked out Because based on what you're describing then you're just wrong
The league needs to have a "best player" award voted on by the players only. Absolutely no media. MVP last year was Nikola Jokic yet the best player was arguably Luka Doncic. Any player that has a 73 point game during a season while averaging 33.9 pts, 9.2 reb, 9.8 ast while playing 70 games is deserving of being the best player with hardware.
Yup. Would be super sweet if guys who played in the league and have been traded several times each actually understood how trades and the salary cap worked.
Jason Tatum is not well received for whatever reason. Cade Cunningham is coming. He is actually exciting went through his lumps pistons market is better than OKC shai gilgeous-alexander. Anthony Edward’s is just about at his ceiling.
I genuinely started tearing up throughout this episode that in today’s time there can still be a fair and real hoops talk. The negativity that has been created in covering sports has just taken the fun out of the game itself. Amongst many reasons obviously. Hopped on that Pat McAfee Show boat in mid 2019 before they became national. The authenticity of this show has the same potential. Merry Christmas guys, hopped on to Road Trippin early last season. Channing, hope you have forgiven me for our Pelicans thing 😂🙏🏽. Merry Christmas y’all to you and yours! Hope to host or have a convo with y’all someday.
To me you don’t have to be number 1 or 2 for MVP but u gotta be top 5. And really top 4 in your conference but I’ll extend it to 5 if you have 50 or more wins and you’re putting up crazy ass numbers
Nobody in the Denver Nuggets basketball community is discussing a D'Aaron Fox trade or they are causally dismissing it. Obviously, I have no idea what happens in the front office over there but I wouldn't put my money on that trade. I know they were talking with the Hawks about Bogie, but they've probably made a lot of phone calls and discussed many things. 43:12 to 43:27 -- genius analogy
If Joker, because of standings, ain't this year MVP then Wemby, for the same reasons, ain't this year DPOY. Nuggets need to get backup big and some perimeter defense, dudes like Looney and GPII, nothing flashy, just solid rotation players, some depth
As for Murray, whats worse then avg is at rare moments Russ has a flashback to old Russ, him and Jokic look much better then with Murray . Even with Russ shooting. Passing, cutting moving the ball, fast breaks - even D looks better.. Its just that Russ is mostly done, he can give you 1 out of 5 games. Jokic will never pressure GM, its just not him, hell give it his all and let the chips fall where they may. Fox doesnt have a great 3pt shot, so trading for him doesnt make all that sense, plus Fox had some good teams and never moved the needle.
"Russ is mostly done, he can give you 1 out of 5 games." The situation is the exact opposite. Russ is giving you 4 out of 5 games for basically the last 25 games. He will have 1 mid or bad game per 5 game stretch. Low scoring doesn't equal a bad game just like high scoring doesn't equal a good game. He has actually been one of the most consistent guys in Denver. Jamal Murray has to better tho.
Nuggets got 3 Max contracts. That aint being cheap. And Braun is more than an adecuate replacement for KCP at a fraction of the cost. You guys would be awful team managers. Jamal's defensive effort is lacking, but there is still 75% of season left to be played. Smoke and mirrors to make me write shit and help the algo.
Ehhh idkkk fox is good but Murray was a key piece to their championship run. Murry been nursing injury all season. He's already hit back to back game winners and timely shots. He's still him when healthy 💯
They changed the rules to cater to the European players and they have now overdone it to the point where they are the stars and American players are just wanna be 3 point shooters
If Jimmy is gonna go to the Suns and they’re not getting rid of Brad then they’re gonna have to run offense through Jimmy. He can do it but I just hope they actually DO IT. Cuz he’s a better playmaker than their current 3 stars and you’re gonna HAVE to give up Tyus Jones
MPJ might have value to a few teams he's kinda inconsistent and still has a bad back with a huge contract. I'm an MPJ fan I don't want him to leave the nuggets but he's not a no brainer for 25 other teams
stop hating on European players, wemby is the first to have a real chance to become the greatest ever since MJ, so stop talking about American born players, no one gives a literal crap about where players are born except for ex nba American players 🤣🤣🤣

Why does the face of the league have to be an American player?? That seems weird af

Murray does not play back to back games he gets too tired....as a result they are cooking teams in b2b games.

@Macedon1972 this is not his name, have you seen KCP stats in Orlando. The problem is the max contracts given for nothing.
