Whats the difference with the old zeon cores? Because this one some are 6 cores only?

The cores start at 4 and go as high as 28 cores for processors comaptible with the Z6 G4. The main difference between these newer processors and the one compatible with X6 G4 predecssor, HP Z640, is the number of memory channels and speed. The Z640 generation used Xeon E5-2600 V3 and V4 seriers processors which have 4 channels and compatible with up to 2400Mhz memory. The Z6 G4 processors - bronze, Silver ,Gold and Platinum, are 6 channel processors and compatible with up to 2933Mhz.
