wow WB...after watching your videos for a while, one would think you have dozens (!) of guitars. You seem to really be enjoying them all. Have you ever played a fretless guitar or bass? On a whim, I installed one on my short scale bass and it's smooth. So, I ordered one to try on a strat. Will post videos after my neighbor gets to try them out. My 'playing' doesn't do them justice. I played a fretless bass...maybe 3 decades ago for 5-10 min...I kinda liked it...it was novel to me at the time...but I am kind of a jumbo fret liking guy and not sure how I would do on a fretless guitar...or how I would like it by comparison...
I hear ya, WB. I can't play worth a dang but seem to like tall frets. That is until I tried the fretless bass. Really easy to move up and down the board with little-to-no noise. So, looking forward to trying a fretless Strat. Being fairly new to guitars, it's fun to mix it up a bit. I have a Squire Jaguar arriving this week. 24" scale length. My neighbor and I tinkered with one at Guitar Center a few weeks ago and it felt comfortable. So, I'll probably be posting videos of the fretless bass and Strat, and Jag. Stay tuned for more episodes of the Two Stooges.
