Why do we want a walking thing to climb stairs? Its so slow and not at all suitable for quick response. A tracked vehicle or a multi wheeled vehicle can climb stairs with much ease and quick. Also mounting guns or IR sensors or IR cameras can be lot lot easier. No chances of getting flipped over also. We need to work upon practical designs rather than some english movie design of a robo dog for fights. We are definitely off the track here...
