But the bar at 4:40 eludes to the fact that he doesn't wanna think about how his **allies** or **close ones** only see him for his fame and status he starts to say "it hurts me just to think and I don't do pain" At first he's laughing at the pain, but when the pain comes from close by, it hurts harder

One of those obscure references is the line "I feel fear for the very last time" Is from this comic/movies? called Watchmen Where a certain character stops becoming a human to then being a God .
"touch me midas" means the artist doesn't mind beaing dead if he dies leaving behind gold. "Make me part of your design" he wants to be a cultural relic. He wants to leave a golden legacy and be a cultural icon when he dies and if he dies early. Live fast die young.
