Just want to point out to AMA, I LOVE the online streaming. I do not have cable TV, and I never will have cable TV. Streaming online is the best!! I can watch live when it streams and/or later when I feel like it. I will understand if you guys need to throw in advertising, similar to standard television. But please for the love of god stream this shit online. Very few of my fellow motorcyclist have cable TV, either. Just stream all this stuff online!! THIS IS GREAT!!!
I watched Scotty and Miguel battle there in the 90's with huge crowds but last weekends turn out was dismal. Weather was PERFECT, hopefully the Superbikes will bring back the crowds next year. P.S. Mr. D you rock on the mic !!!!

It's still unbelievable that such an excellent sport is not being televised by a major network. Scott Russell did an amazing job considering what he had to work with. The lead announcer not only needs to brush up on his knowledge of the sport and series, but also needs to approach the event with a lot more enthusiasm. I understand that he's new, but I literally found myself dreading the inevitability that he would eventually speak. He would be an excellent chess announcer.
You need to research who your talking about. Barry Boone is his name. You'll find him involved in Next Moto Champion, and has his own show on blogtalkradio called, Talking Motorcycles, where he talks to AMA pro riders. Mostly from road racing and dirt track. He's been annoucing AMA Pro events for over a year. He's no Screamin' Johnny Greene, thank gods. But he has lots of enthusiasm for motorcycle racing.

A really terrific race of Daytona 200. Now i am riding my Falcons' bicycle to Downtown LA to see if i can completely compete the 57 laps in my imagination.

The riders are good, the 600s are amazingly quick, but there is a whole helluva lot empty seats disguised as fans - pretty pathetic when you remember when the 200 meant something internationally, when the likes of Agostini, Sheene, Roberts, Lawson, etc, made the event something special.
If you have never seen this race In person than you have no Idea! TV does not do the speed and the sound justice. If you go to the Infield and watch them on the banking Its Insane!
My dad went numerous times ... drove all the way from Toronto, ontario - Canada. He got to walk the banking and said it was like walking up a flight of stairs lol. He could never get his head around what they do at 190+ mph on that banking.

I admitted its a good race never being into motor races that much I watch it for a couple of minutes when its on tv. But it seem it has being dying down the seats are almost all empty in this event
This is why many commentator suck at their job. At about 57 mins. a question via twitter, "How are these bikes different from the bikes off the show room floor?" And the commentator does not know, FFS, you can go to the AMA website and pull the mods for each class, But some how that's either to difficult or outside of this guys job description, wtf! So they would rather babble and speculate and run their mouths for an hour or so, instead providing the viewers real information, unbelievable. Scott Russell kind of saved the moment, but damn.
Rafael Lecuona i think you'll find the main reason for one brand to be popular at this level it's normally becuase that brand offers good support packages to privateer teams.

This track helped motorcycle tire development greatly. It just gives you more traction and hi speed.

this is a great 600cc race, but it's not the Daytona 200 -- there hasn't been one of those in years.....
Of course it's the 200, it just might not be as great as it used to be.
Back to the big bikes for 2015, though.

skywarrior thunder Twas ever thus, but the big riders still came because of event's mystique which is a shadow of it's former self.
Most people don't really sit in the stands.. They watch from the infield.
