Best line ever that hits so close to home Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings, About fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings, And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering, And help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live.
This song man ... it's just something else. It gives youi the feeling you can take on the world. By far the best song he has ever written and that says something.
I worked in Nambucca. Most of those people are my friends. Watching this makes me really.... really miss Nambucca, I have to admit I welled up a little. The only thing thats left to do is live....
For all of you who didn't already know, in this video, Frank has references to and appearances from some of his friends. 0:43 - Justin Young from the Vaccines, 1:07 - So This Is Great Britain was the name of an album by the Holloways, who played on Photosynthesis, 1:14 - Beans On Toast etc. There's a few others in there too.
Love Frank and I have to say that this has to be the song that makes me say YES!! This is why I love Frank. No matter where he is, what album is being dropped he is still this guy, singing to all of US!!
Go away!!! I love jay. Saw him live with Noah and the Whale and fell in love with him, he gives such a nostalgic feel, hes an amazing songwriter. Signed ticket straight off :)
Just been told that my lyrics channel this guy, despite never actually having heard of him before the person in question told me this. The fact that I do gladdens my heart.
Oh... He's got a Soundwave T-shirt on 1:15... I have discovered this wonderful song thanks to James Roberts and his fantastic comic More than Meets the Eye...
It's recently occurred to me that this ballad is at the same tempo as the disco song often recommended as a cadence for chest compressions. I realize this doesn't mean anything; I just thought it was interesting, and "the only thing that's left to do is live!" is a great thought to have when doing chest compressions.
I heard him live tonight you guys!! He played this in Graceland and it sounded so excellent! See his be more kind your you guys, he's SUCH a rocker live, what a show!!!!
I like the holloways references in the video as i love the holloways almost as much as frank. i think this is a very humbeling song... kind if makes you realise whats really important.... well i think most of franks song do that tbf
if Frank wasn't a "skinny half-arsed English country singer", but one of the "looks" he so often has people play in his videos, I dont think I could take his music serious. Geez his music is Frickin good., an-mhaith!
At about 1:20, is that the guy from Beans On Toast? I have to say this is arguably my favourite song of all time. Real emotion and someone who finally gives a fuck what they are singing about. Thanks for uploading.
Fookin' love the fact that he can't be arsed to buy a new shirt........... If it's yer favorate.. bloody well wear it.......... Go on Frankie boy..........
@SuperBMan3000 A bad music video? Did you watch it? Follow the lyrics and the cinematography and it works pretty well. It contains a pub environment with patrons that can be identified in the song and appear on video if you watch for them. More than anything, it creates an atmosphere of an English pub that you may share with friends. Really, I thought it worked fairly well for a Frank Turner video.
I'm nuts about Frankie T, I've met him, I'm seeing him at Leeds next weekend etc... But that vide was pants. The song is amazing and has so much more potential =O
I get what people are saying, however, low budget doesn't always = bad. I think this vid is supposed to be low key and subtle. It'd made me smile when I saw Holloway references, or when Beans popped up... anyone know where it was filmed?
@BlueSmartieDude Small minds that are not capable of creating anything, and they're just jealous. Just ignore the douchebags. Frank Turner is an amazing artist, and one of the coolest, nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
@BlueSmartieDude I know what you're trying to say but some people have different opinions to others, so if you don't like flame wars don't get involved in 'em. :)

The only thing that's left to do is get another round in at the bar.......
Frank is a fucking legend
My wife and I added these lines to our wedding vows
Frank has released, what, ten or so albums, but he’s got his best line in this song “life is about love, last minutes, and lost evenings.”
This song man ... it's just something else. It gives youi the feeling you can take on the world. By far the best song he has ever written and that says something.
One of my favourite songs of all time

Saw Frank on tuesday night in Rock City. He signed my ticket. He's a thoroughly, bloody nice chap. ;)
Just been told that my lyrics channel this guy, despite never actually having heard of him before the person in question told me this. The fact that I do gladdens my heart.
Oh... He's got a Soundwave T-shirt on 1:15...

The lyrics in this song are just brilliant, especially the last verse. Simply brilliant.
'Justin is the last of the great romantic poets. And the only one among us who is ever gonna make it big. ' Not now Frank!!
Brokenly brilliant.
I really want to visit the cheap bistro in Southampton.
No-one needs to visit Southampton that badly.
Pizza Express apparently, according to Frank's new book.
@@PaulWilliamGibson I came here just to make the same comment 😂

RIP Nambucca.

Is that a cameo by Beans on Toast I see?
Yes, miming that lines that are about him.
Who's here in 2021?
Not me. But I’m here in 2022. 😉
@BlueSmartieDude Small minds that are not capable of creating anything, and they're just jealous. Just ignore the douchebags. Frank Turner is an amazing artist, and one of the coolest, nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
at 1:55 it's cyclops charlie brown!!!
Bit of a Half-Man Half-Biscuit thing going on here, I feel.
Who's Prufrock?
The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is a poem by T.S. Eliot. I don't remember what it's about, but I remember enjoying it a lot.
