These videos make my day. Also, I’m totally with you Andy on the parents pushing kids too hard in sports. When I was in like I don’t know 2nd grade, my first year of soccer (before the clumsiness kicked in), during my first game, I could hear this kid’s mom from the other team shouting at her to kick me and another girl on my team in the shins to get the ball.

Another good one. Some parents are super pushy about sports. I played soccer, basketball, softball growing up. In the summer I’d play baseball in our pasture with my brother and the neighbor boys. Fun times! My nephew is playing baseball this year. :)
My younger brother plays baseball and is on the road to a professional career in it and he’s still only a teenager so he plays a normal summer league every year. This past year he was at Canada games and I had never seen such aggressive parents before that. There were parents trying to start fights with kids and parents trying to start fights with other parents. It’s so insane that the kids literally weren’t allowed to listen to their parents and there was a specific time period before and after games where my brothers teammates couldn’t talk to parents or family members because the parents were trying to get their kids to go against the coaches if they believed their kid wasn’t getting enough field time. The world of competitive sports scares the shit out of me. I was an art kid so I never really knew about the sport world until my brother joined it and let me tell you I’m happy I was never part of it.

I loved Mugsy Bogues! I'm from Charlotte NC and the Hornets were my TEAM when I was a little kid. I don't really follow pro basketball anymore, but being a UNC grad I do keep up with the college basketball stuff. Sports were ruined for me because 1. Everyone (at least where I live) plays basketball and soccer. THATS IT. nothing else 2. I’m very tall, so people assumed I was good at basketball, but I’m not. I’m actually very jumpy and hate being touched so I couldn’t cover people and I certainly couldn’t catch a ball. There was a time when I wasn’t horrible but then I grew like 2.5ft and became really clumsy and people expect me to run on a slippery floor when I can barley walk in a straight line. And I agree with the parents yelling at their kids and other kids, I saw that so much and it was just making me miserable
A lot of people don't count dance as a sport but I was on high school drill team which is about 3,000 a year and my last year I was an officer and it was more expensive and for 2 years my sister was on the team with me it's crazy how expensive it gets
I can remember playing for my middle school softball team, and we were supposed to have back pants. But my Mom was a cheapskate and, we spent most of the year trying to find the pants at a garage sale. So I ended up wearing these Boy's, too tight, gray pants that mom insisted that they fit perfectly. And I ended up feeling embarrassed because (not only have I always been a chunky person) those to tight pants don't look very good with a tucked in T-shirt. So that's my sports story.
