There is no hurry - get through pre season, watch the waiver wire, then let the team settle a bit. No to Schultz, bringing back a former whipping boy, regardless how good now, is a bad move. We need more defensive minded D who can move the puck enough, challenging on right side, which is why current roster should be looked at closely first.
I didn’t care for Schultz when he was here before……the Oil has got smaller and smaller….they need some muscle. No Daisharnais, no Nurse, no Foegle, no Carrick……
You are delusional if you think nurse being on ltir is a good thing!…nurse is much better then ever getting credit for and there is going to be a huge whole in that left d side!
No it isn't. There is nobody even close to Nurse available to replace him, and making a trade makes zero sense for another high contact dman makes because they will have no cap space when Nurse gets back. How many guys are available with only 1 year left on their contract, that would be an adequate replacement for Nurse lol, ZERO.
@@SanchezKirby Quinn Hughes. Adam fox. Bowen Byram. There's still some decent, small damn out there. And although it would be nice if he were one of those kinda guys, oil don't need him to be. just not a liability. His strength is moving the puck. He doesn't rim the puck as his first decision.
Doesn't look good... Nurse had a couple of months to get better since they said it was a playoff injury. If he's not healthy enough for even contact in training camp, there is no way he will be healthy for the beginning of the season. He may be able to play, but it's going to be like Kane last year. They need to stop playing games and make sure Nurse is 100% before playing him. They need to get a couple of veteran low cost D quick while they are in the position of power. Once its announced Nurse can't play, then the players coming in have a bit more power for a higher salary.
What if his injuries last year never even fully healed and played through them like Klefbom during the play in… such a bad decision on the organization though. I just hope if he goes ir we could possibly accrue cap space to make a trade mid season for a LD to help fill that slot in
@@McSwirlywirly Agreed... Just like Kane... Instead of having a healthy Kane for playoffs, we had someone taking up a spot functioning at 25% capacity. People want to call it Brave and all Heart, I call it stupid. If Nurse is injured... Just STOP! Do what ever it takes to get 100% and then play. Being a macho man now and mess up a playoff run and potentially making things worse health wise is so dumb. Obviously, this core leadership doesn't have the wherewithal to police themselves so the organization needs to start putting their foot down with these players who selfishly want to play at the cost of the end goal.

Maybe they could find a nice cardboard cutout to stand in front of Skinner instead of Nurse
Damn I was hoping Nurse was traded!!
Cmon, man. He's not going to be traded . He has to agree with it, and he won't do it. As long as Mcdavid is on the team, he's not going anywhere.
A gal can dream
Ain't nobody going to pay him enough more to leave than the oil already is.

THANK YOU. No size, no grit= playoff injuries= no cup. we are the oldest smallest least physical team in the league. bitches we are.
Nurse on ltir for the whole season would be awesome for our cap situation

Nurse would not make top line on most beer league teams.@@dianedyck3474

If there is a god, please PLEASE put Nurse on LTIR until playoffs! We may have a chance

Oilers back end is in serious trouble.
Free up cap space 😂😂😂 would be good!
Been saying thanks to Jackson for paying stecther two years for 1ml that fled up the salary, he’s so small too
He makes less than 800k, if he sucks for us, he can easily be sent down and not cost us a thing lmao, and small does not mean bad
Plus, he's a better puck mover than all the other d they have.
I’m just saying. time flys and I’m saying he’s small doesn’t mean he’s bad thou, we’ll see

I’m wondering why they haven’t operated on nurse already

@@darpompie4354 exactly, I wouldn't be surprised if its the injury last year he got before the bad start we had and it forced him to play through it

Too bad achy is hurt too
Oilers are better off with out nurse like one of the other comments cardboard cut out
