This video will focus on the countless overtakes that occurred in March 2019, which are usually not shown in visualizations due to the large intervals required to make a practical video...until now. Some highlights are PewDiePie and T-Series reaching 90 million, T-Series's massive March 21 growth boost, and the release of Congratulations. ENJOY! :)

The problem that happened when we lost this war was not in March or April. It was actually in February. We didn’t get that Super Bowl Ad that MrBeast wanted to give us. That was when the war began to go south. We weren’t able to have enough steam on our own to keep Pewdiepie comfortably ahead after that point. I wonder what the stats from February to May would look like in a timeline where we actually do get that ad.
We didn’t lose the war in the feb 22 overtake as:
T-series officially needed to be on top for 24 hours to count as an overtake
T-series only got on top because of a negative pewdiepie audit, pewdiepie overtook t-series 2 minutes after anyway
@@Crimsrn We didn’t lose yet in February, but a Super Bowl ad would’ve given a bigger gap and stretched the lead for longer, causing Pewdiepie to get surpassed later on.
I agree, the lack of support that we leaned on around the Super Bowl put us in a bad spot with a low gap. Also, the fact that TS was beginning to pass on a daily basis caused a lot of people to give up as it became clear it was an uphill battle.
I mean not getting the ad was better in 1 way, If we did, PDP would have relaxed and fell very badly in March. IN THE BEST CASE scenario where PDP doesn't fall after the ad, he'd hold on maybe until 105m
@@moreepicstatbattles He would’ve slowed down in March but when the gap got close again at that point people would get back into action to give him more subs so the battle would continue its momentum and struggle to reach 100M+ but still barely make it and that’s what we all wanted.

This video is amazing, and so ambitious too! Your hard work will definitely pay off! My only question is how are you able to make the sub gaps? I looked around everywhere in Flourish (assuming you use it) and I can't figure out how to do it!
The sub gap counts are made using a formula: (second channel count)x2/-1
I now have a completely different view of this period of PewDiePie vs t-series the much more detailed and close up hourly gains made it so... amazing!

Indeed. I couldn't tally them all up because there are so many, and the subgap sometimes flipped multiple times per hour, but there are at least 100 separate overtakes

If this is accurate then it’s fucking insane, phenomenal work 👍
An idea: when October 26th comes around (5 years since the true beginning of the subwar) you should livestream PewDiePie vs T-Series realtime (or at least an estimate of what it may have looked like). There’s actually some livestream VODs that started shortly before the MrBeast video went up, so getting accurate data for that time may actually not be that hard. The only problem is that you’d need to somehow feed tens of thousands of datapoints into a custom live subscriber counter at a rate of 1/sec for each channel.
The feeding of the data could be done rather easily, the problem would be keeping the stream going for more than a few hours at a time
@@TRAINAlytics If you’ve got an old laptop or computer lying around that’s powerful enough you could use that to host it and free up your main device. The stream could go on for days as long as the device is connected to internet and has power of course.
@@laglife I unfortunately don’t have such a device, and we would lack the power to run it 24/7 regardless. It’s a cool idea though
Nia just destroyed the data point record, their latest video containing like almost 9K channels with daily, weekly, and yearly gains has over 100M datapoints apparently
How are we so sure that it’s 9000 channels though? Did he post evidence anywhere? There seem to be like 40 shown
@@TRAINAlytics That is a problem, but I would probably trust that there are over 10M datapoints in that project (not flourish though), because it includes top 40, then daily, yearly, and and weekly gains updated every single day. There's a whole lot of channels that weren't ever in top 40 in the weekly gains though
@@laglife Being fairly generous, assuming there are about 100 channels in the top 40 between 2011 and 2023, that would be around 1.31m total (assuming Nia put in the entire dataset for every channel, not just the part where they were on the list)
