      Hey Brooklyn, also check out the Live Like Line page on FB. I sent a message to them one day, wondering about getting one of the t-shirts, and first Brez responded to me, telling me how to get the t-shirt, then another admin wrote me another message and told me that Brez hadn't bothered to tell me that she had written a book and the movie was created from her book. She is an incredible writer as well as coach. I ordered my book as soon as it was available. I wish you could meet her, she is so kind, just like the girls from the team. Work hard and #LLL

Can you please tell me tricks or tips to get perfect over hand serves please?😖😖😖😖😖

    She is right, Ernie is a 6'5" teddy bear, and is now a retired orthopedic surgeon. Line's mom Ellyn died from pancreatic cancer 12 days after Line was killed in the freak moped accident. Ernie lost his wife and daughter in a 2 week period. How do you get through that? He has done it, but I will never know how. I can't wait for 2 more days to finally see the movie. Thank you ALL for not just going through the motions, but for embracing the girls who you portrayed. Thank you for the kind words you all have for the people you are portraying.

    • @survivrs
      @survivrs 6 років тому +3

      Kelli, crying from the interview? Like Danika telling how she and Ernie came face to face while she was wearing Line's jersey and he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her up in a bear hug as they never said a word but were both crying? I cried when she told that. I know Ernie, and he is such a sweetheart. It's hard to believe he's a surgeon-just retired in December, because I have met many surgeons in my life and most are nothing like Ernie. I cried through the movie, but not quite like I thought I would, but I have watched every video I could find on Line and the story because the 15 minute HBO sports video tells the entire story, in a very short amount of time. The movie was meant to be based on Kathy Bresnahan's book, and they did a great job. Brez and her girls were all just trying to get out of bed and put one foot ahead of the other, day after day, and volleyball almost became something they now hated, but with epic care, and as much time as could be spared by Brez and her assistant coach, Scott, they managed to once again get the girls to care about the sport they so wanted to avoid, like not playing would make the tragedies go away and they would all feel better. They learned that nothing in the world made it all go away, but they learned how to channel their grief into the way they now approached the game of volleyball, and in my mind, that is how they made their comeback and won the state championship that year.

    Got to see the movie last night, met coach and author Kathy Bresnahan, got my book signed, and considering they are trying to get an entire season into a movie that's less than 2 hours long, they did a great job. For anyone who has read the book and are familiar with "Squeaks", I got to meet her as well and cried after reading what she wrote in my book. These young ladies did an epic job!!! The other thing that impressed me so was that this is the first time in years that we have gone to a movie and the theater was almost packed. It was obvious that there were young middle school teams who came together with parents as they sat in groups, but there were men and women as well as all of the girls and it was the best time I've had at a movie in a long time.

    • @survivrs
      @survivrs 6 років тому +1

      phykin, there are actally 2 books. The one that the movie is based on is also called "The Miracle Season". Author is Kathy Bresnahan. Another book was written in 2015, but it was much more in-depth in regards to Line's family and all they went through. You can get both books through Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon. The book from 2015 took me a long time to read. Halfway through page 2 I just closed it and put it in my backpack. I was bawling. This book is titled Live Like Line, Love Like Ellyn and the author is Bill Hoeft. I'm still trying to finish The Miracle Season, I haven't had enough chances to just sit and read. They are both great books about a horrible tragedy.

    Ernie is one big sweet teddy bear, he did my first back surgery 8 months before his life was turned inside out and upside down. His wife passed away 12 days after Line lost her life. Kathy Bresnahan wrote the book "The Miracle Season" which the movie tried to follow, it's impossible to put every detail over something so tragic. There is another book titled "Live like Line; Love like Ellyn" and Ellyn being Line's mom. The first time I sat down to read, I couldn't make it past page 2 because I was crying so much.

      @@chrisbarmby8640 The book is even better because there's no fiction in it. It can be tough to read parts of it, but it's been so well written. A lot of feed has steroids in it, but not all of them. One thing that helps with growth is castration when they are young, around 2 months of age, turning them into steers as well as making their temperament better. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie!!

    If Caroline's parents and/or other family members or good friends ever read these comments, or read mine, please, I BEG, pray to Jehovah God to help you get close to him and he WILL without fail hear your prayers. Then, you will without fail see your daughter again, in the promised paradise Earth that is soon coming. Caroline will be resurrected because she was young enough to be innocent, but as adults we are obligated to be thankful to Jehovah (and Jesus) for the ransom sacrifice and for his word The Bible to have been written and prepared for us. First century Christians did not suffer all they did just so that we simply are "nice" or "good people" nor did Jesus, the second most powerful being in the universe, to be made in the flesh and suffer as he did. I know you loved Caroline, so please, I beg, pray to Jehovah God and in Jesus' name to help you come to know him, and he will send his people to you.

    I watched this movie, and was very disappointed. It seems the lead actresses were chosen strictly for their ability to cry on cue and less on acting ability or anything close to athleticism. It was just a sob story, plain and simple and should have been called "Line, Line, Line, and the Liner Dog", or "Let's all cry for 90 Freaking Minutes". Having lost 2 children in 2 separate automobile accidents and a wife to cancer, I can certainly empathize with her father and friends. However, ENOUGH OF LINE for Gods sake! I wonder how much her father pushed and pushed for this film to be made to aggrandize his daughter. And T-Shirts emblazoned with "LIVE LIKE LINE"? A bit too much Dr. Found. No, WAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much, Ernie!

      I was like wow what is wrong with this person. And then I heard he lost two kids and his wife and I completely understood. Incredible movie, it sounds like you would relate to a lot, not sure why you hated it so much. So sorry for your losses, hopefully one day you will remember your children with love. And not hate or judge another persons loss. To lose a daughter and your wife in two weeks, can’t imagine how that man pulled through. But since this is a true story, you know he really did. Hopefully you can someday to, the hate and bitterness you have, is only hurting you. But I understand why it’s there. I am not religious so I will not pray for you, only hope you heal someday

      Dr. Found, in fact, did NOT push for this movie to be made. He was reluctant to do so. The t-shirts? It was a way for that community to keep Caroline alive for them. As for acting ability, these young women did a very good job and they clearly displayed enough athleticism to serve the story. This was a story of tragedy and inspiration. This was not intended to be a documentary on the Olympic Women's Gold Medal Volleyball match.
