No other game has ever come close to this imo. I've got about 3000 hours in total also considering my xbox 360 gameplay, played it since it came out. I just wish they finished it fully. I mean Skyrim, Dark Souls and The Witcher 2 & 3 I love, but none come close to this masterpiece.
It's insane what can be done to beat this game in a little over an hour. Do you think with future optimizations the time could be pushed to sub 1:00:00?
One hour is not possible, but you can shorten the time even further. I'm currently trying to play on a chart that's completely different from this video, so I'd like to make a video like a guide someday.
@@kangensai_speedrun38I take about 1:40 hours to complete the game but i play in xbox 360 , is very diferent because i dont have eternal ferrystone , dont have the ring who make you run , dont start with any equip that can be sold, and i cant shortcut buttons to heal or use mushrooms
Hotkeys. On PC you can set up hotkeys for items, even if using a controller. But you have to use the keyboard buttons for the hotkeys. Same thing on consoles, just done differently.

I thought "Wait thats not the world record" but then I realized it wasn't the NG+ run, which I consider to be a bit more valid as a lot of dragons dogma is RNG on item drops and optimal leveling. But this is still super impressive as the not NG+ world record. And I had a blast watching it.
I'm only like 10 mins into it and he has mushrooms hotkeyed which allows for instant stamina replenishment. If you're talking about something later on it might be liquid vim which prevents stamina from draining for a bit.
Did he cheated? How did he got all that equipment in Cassardis after the dragon and sold it. Also, from Cassardis to the encampment, he consumed mushrooms without opening the inventory
That equipment is Dark Arisen expansion stuff. As for the mushrooms, Rook used them on the Arisen (the player). Pawns won’t use consumables on just themselves, but the rest of the party too. So when the Arisen’s stamina got too low, Rook’s AI checked that and used the mushrooms on him as if they were like stamina potions.
@@Deoxys_Used_Mimic nope, pawns cant do that. he used the quickbind feature. it's a feature that comes within the expansion. you can quickbind items by pressing triangle (PS4) or Y (Xbox) on the highlighted item in the inventory menu (only works on curatives and lantern).
I don't want to think honestly. I've been playing this game for a long time and I need to pay tribute if there is a shortcut that can achieve such a record.
I hate the singing in the beginning, it was a mood destroyer. Otherwise this game is a very underrated gem. I wish Capcom gave another run at this genre. Would love it if they "remade" and expanded this one too.

Yes, you can, and I think that's the easiest thing to do. If you have proper weapons of course. Might be harder in a speedrun
Once Ur-Dragon is dead, 20 wakestones are automatically there.

I know its late but you can use hotkeys by pressing L+R then up, down, left and right keys. You have to assign an item first.

The faster times are on the New Game+ category
The faster times are New Game + which basically lets you teleport everywhere instead of walking.
