The UK is an embarrassment
Yes but majority of the countries around the world do tell their people to stockpile for a period of time.
Not all of us can stock pile one no money two nowwhere to put it @user-bi8ko7kc6h
It isn't that good!
How to tell you nuclear war is coming without telling you🤔
Buy a tin hat
I am from the government & I am here to help....... RUN !
Lies, Damn Lies & facts. What is not talked about is that prices are now 20% higher than they were in 2021.
tesco, sainsburrys, and other mafia organisations are making killings out of this
Proper joke mate. They think they're actually doing something. The damage is already done
Cyber attacks are coming the world economic form warned us about it. These are the people who amazingly managed to predict the Covid virus two years before we got it so it’s worth listening to them.
I would stockpile gallons of alcohol and weed

Well, get on with it then.
Does Rishi Sunak know something we don't know his speech was like we were at war already
Who do you think is operating British weaponary on the border of Russia? Absolutely suicidal.

The bast@rds have led us to war, sold us out to the EU and WEF. We're a joke of a country.
Apparently we already are with Russia
russia wants to spread there genocide and rule the world what part of that are sheep not seeing
That's just what we need another panic buying episode.
Well done Dowden, and well done Vine for giving it air time
Well the Tory tw t would😂
Supermarket prices are still through the roof . Robbers and crooks
Can't even afford to buy my normal food never mind stockpile the s*it 😂😂😂
Food prices have risen again. What a joke !
and yet the media is too busy focused and deflecting on what Harry and Megan have going on instead of helping it countries people. what is the British royal family doing to help their citizens?
Who cares about them, they are no benefit to our country they feel the same about us end of.
Same as usual.
@@barneyrubble8590 clearly your media does because they speak on them 24/7 as if they are in your country causing issues when they aren’t even on the same continent.
Would Carole like to let us know where the prices have come down because it's certainly not round our end.
Who the hell can afford to stockpile, people can't get through the week as it is, tell the chuffing Tories to vacate the premises ASAP.
Bloody true 👍🤬
Yes, because Labour is going to lower prices to pre-Covid!!! Our electricity bills will go ‘back to normal’!!!
No way!!! I have no affinity to any political party but they’re all the same!!!!
I’ve heeded the warnings and just bought a nuclear bunker from Trotters Independent Traders and luckily he had some Peckham spring water for sale also plus if I need to flee this country he sold me a boat and even though I don’t know how to sail he’s told me not to worry he’s got an uncle who’s a old sea dog and would be more than happy to captain it for me. So in true British spirit “I’m alright Jack sod you suckers!”
Do people really watch this brain damage tv 😂😂
Have you told the shops petrol stations and energy suppliers the inflation has come 😊down
their exempt apparently
The only thing that worries me is, the fools that are going to empty the supermarkets and leave nothing for the normal people.....
You can buy it off them .
It will be sold on social media for a huge profit.
@@ElliottSpencer-hn9qg Why not buy it yourself ? :)
Where the hell does she shop, prices coming down 😂😂
Probably charity shop
We’ve been prepping for over a year now. What I can’t believe is how expensive the dirtiest good-for-the-dogs food is nowadays. Spam, corned beef, hotdogs in a tin, etc are all approx £1.50-2 per tin now, and that’s in the cheapest shops like Poundland or Food Warehouse. It’s absolutely ridiculous. That’s the stuff you’d eat when you literally had moths in your purse, but now it’s like a frigging luxury item!
70 p for hotdogs at asda .
These claims help nobody, everything is expensive and still on the up, they must think everyone is stupid, what a grind living in the UK has become for most of us.
Uk is just getting embarrassing this is ridiculous can wait to go to portugal at the end of the year for good
Well done 👍. Wish I cud get my kids n grandkids the fuk out of this place good luck 🤞
stockpile , cause a shortage and price rises again , what a brilliant idea NOT
She is delusional !!
Where is she living where the food prices have come down?

Nice of them to let us know what they have planned....
I remember when Jeremy Vine was a serious journalist!
And on what planet was that?
Things are just getting more expensive at a slower rate I could not afford them last week how shall i afford them this week?
Water deteriorates in bottles whereas alcohol keeps, every cloud has a silver lining.
We need prices to go down not go up more slowly. The damage is already done from before, plus everyone's milking it. Cash and carry prices go up 20p on a case, but shop keepers want to put 20p on every item in that case.
Everyone should be prepping regardless!!
spam is v expensive..
Exactly
The same with corned beef.
Agreed!
@@samanthahardy9903 Agreed!
What a bloody stupid thing to say, this is only going to cause mass panic, causing a shortage and food prices to increase? Well done!
My god. No wonder we are in the mess we are in. Dopey Dowden strikes again.
It just makes me laugh. I grow food - so there is my top tip. You can buy good LED lights that are very cheap to run. Ok so - you'll need to set aside some space in your home but it can be done, The plants I start in my home then gets transplanted out into containers, but dokeep some stuff indoors. I also have about 8 storage containers filled with tins, packet mash, cous cous, noodles, pasta, rice, soda drinks, tinned fruit, big tubs of coffee, tea, dried and not refridgerated milk (it has a long shelf life until you open it - then you put in the fridge and use as normal) bags of salt and sugar to name a few items.
Deep in our cupboard somewhere we have a box of candals, a pack of lighters, I have tubs of yeast, flour and spices. I could go on. We could survive for about two months without ever needing to go shoppping. We consume this stuff as part of our regular food to allow for stock rotation, but we plan meals so when we buy fresh or frozen stuff we know how long it will last and have reduced FOOD WASTE to virtually nothing.
You might think this sounds crazy, but don't let those with normalcy bias fool you or make you feel ashamed to plan for rougher times. Even if you stockpile against inflation. I'll give you an example - on a cheat night - there is nothing I like more than a tinned curry and rice, A few years ago I bought about 30 tins of various varieties of these curries for about a £1 - they now sell for £1.60. They are perfectly fine for many years - in theory - there will be an expiry date on them - but people have opened cans twenty years old (or more in some cases) and found the contents to be fine. I also bought a l;ot of tins of grilling pork which is nice uncooked or toasted or I've even put in cooked meal. It's a nice substitute for a proper joint of meat and also has the protein and filling factor you might need if you can't get alternatives.
You don't have to make this cost a lot - just add an extra couple of iterms in with your weekly shop. Buy things you like and eat anyway. Learn how to cook from scratch if you don't already. Cooking is a basic skill that everyone should be able to do - it's like a lot of thing though - it can get complicated - but you don't need to be an expert to have the basics.
Consider this - because I'm not seeing a light of light at the end of the tunnel - our leaders are out of touch and the world is getting harder. Have a plan! Good luck :)
Thanks for your effort in writing that. Listen to this mans advice everyone: Stuff's coming, the like of which you have never seen. Worse than CVD. Dont panic but buy extra @ every shop.
@@ukminuteman Thank you for your comments of agreement, good name btw!
Complete nonsense. The target for inflation should never be fixed at 2% anyway when the amount of money being printed goes up and output goes down, at request of the government. If you print more money, inflation will go up. Worrying people 'running the country' don't even understand such basic economics which most people would understand at A Level Maths.
Wonderful, apart from the fact that the Bank of England controls both interest rates and quantitative easing and not the government.
@@patricklee6206 wonderful, except you're incorrect, the government instructs on printing money through borrowing, not the bank of England. The government increased the supply of money by 50% hence inflation and tangible asset values increasing in monetary terms
@@spokes1018I don't think that you actually realise what quantitative easing actually entails.
It doesn't just mean printing money.
It is one of the tools that the Bank of England has to maintain financial stability. It does this by buying Government Bonds. That increases the demand for bonds which makes them more expensive which brings down interest rates. This means that Government doesn't have to pay the same amount of interest to sell the same amount of bonds it wishes to.
When this happens interest rates tend to dip across the economy.
This makes it cheaper to borrow which encourages people to buy things like cars and properties also for businesses to invest in premises.
Coupled to that, is that because Government Bonds are more expensive and they are therefore less appealing to investors. As result they tend to look for other avenues such as lending money to business or investing in other parts of the economy. That increase money in the economy and boosts growth.
Quantitative easing (QE),is not just printing money although it does effectively increase the supply of it.
What it does is increase its" central bank reserves"by creating money digitally. Central Bank Reserves are used are used by the Central Bank (BOE) and Government to pay each other they are not used by businesses or the general public.
These reserves are used to buy the Government Bonds boosting the amount of money in circulation as I explained earlier.
However as QE increases the amount of money in the economy it can cause long term inflation especially in asset prices like we have seen recently.
In short QE, like setting of interest rates are the purveiw of the Bank of England and has been since 1997 when Brown made it so.
@@spokes1018 Not incorrect. Quantitative Easing is one of the tools that the Bank of England has to try and ensure economic stability.
That doesn't mean actually printing money as you put it.
What happens is that the Bank of England increases its "central bank reserves" by digital means. That money is only used by the government and the Central Bank(Bank of England) to buy off of each other and not by businesses or the public. What the Bank of England (BOE), does is buy Government Bonds. The increased demand for Bonds makes them more expensive, and brings down interest rates. This is because the Government pays less interest on the amount that it wishes to sell. When this happens interest rates across the economy dip. Making the cost of borrowing cheaper.
Also because the Bonds become more expensive investors tend to find them less appealing. As a result they are more likely to lend money to businesses or invest in other areas of the economy. All of these things tend to create more money in the economy and boost growth.
However quantitative easing can cause long-term inflation especially in asset prices just like we have seen recently.
The body that makes the decision to do this is the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) that as the name suggests is a body that is part of the BOE and NOT the government.
This has been the case since the control over setting interest rates and quantitative easing was given to the BOE by Gordon Brown in 1997.
The real reason for our financial difficulties is because the Economy was effectively put in to limp mode by the lockdowns.
@@spokes1018For the 3rd time. That is true . Quantitative Easing is one of the tools used by the Bank of England to maintain monetary and financial stability in the economy. The other is setting the base interest rate.
Quantitative Easing isn't about printing more money per se.
What happens is that the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee decides on what course of action to take as it did before the 2nd lockdown in 2020.
Quantitative Easing means that the Bank of England in the UK digitally increase the amount of money in the Bank's Central Reserve.
That money is used solely by the Government and the Bank of England ( BOE), to pay each other. It is not used by businesses or the general public.
What the BOE then does is buy Government Bonds. The result of that is that demand for said Bonds increases which makes them more expensive which brings down the interest rate which investors who hold them gets from the government. This creates a dip in interest rates across the economy, which allows businesses to invest in business fixed assets and the public to buy things on credit at a cheaper rate. Also because buying Government Bonds are less attractive to investors they are more inclined to invest in businesses and other parts of the economy. All these things serve to create more money in the economy and boost growth.
The danger of Quantitative Easing is that it can cause long-term inflation. Which is what we have experienced in the UK recently.
The reason that in 2020 that the BOE, not the Government introduced Quantitative Easing is because the lockdowns had effectively put the economy into limp mode.
These tools were given to the BOE by Gordon Brown in 1997 so that they could use them independently of the Government.
Stockpiling and conscription. Whats going on
Dont you know prices have rise everywher in the world NOt just here
i want a gas mask ! my room mate had curry !
Open the window quick!🤣😂🤣
I didn't stockpile anything for covid as I already had about four weeks of stuff in.
It's not because I thought there would be shortages or because I thought the world would end, I just grew up in the 70s and have been through water/gas/electric company strikes.
As Dom says, in some countries it is standing advice to have 3 or 4 weeks worth of food/water at home.
As for inflation, it going down doesn't help unless the prices drop significantly. If they don't this is like us cheering that the england team scored 8 goals while losing 14-8.. Yeah it's nice, but it didn't actual do anything for us.
Sounds to me like War is imminent 😢
Omg!!! Nanny state gone mad. D they think it's the 1930s🙄

Encouraging people to panic buy in order to state, "The economy is improving as people are buying more." 😂
I know theirs is a real shortage of medication, Epilepsy medication and insulin injections. When l put a order for them in at my doctors l ring the pharmacy and let them know,it takes two days even more if it's the weekend to order them in.
It makes sense to stock up for at least a few weeks, that way if there is an emergency, you do not have to spend enormous amounts of time running around like a chicken with its head cut off, competing with neighbours for goods and services.
Stockpiling is a bad thing to do the food can go off.
It all depends on what is stock piled and how it's stored.
Most people carn’t afford to eat never mind putting something away for the future

Cosco has there nuke bunkers half price bought 2 one for me and one for the wife imagine 2 years free without nagging😂
This is normal in other countries. We should all have emergency supllies abd not rely solely on the Government. This doesn't mean that the Government shouldn't be responsible but it can take time to get aid. Weve already seen areas being told that they cant drink tap water in the past few weeks. Having supplies helps. Don't go crazy just add an item or two with every food shop and in a few months you'll have what you need. It could be just a tin of sardines (70p) each month.
These things don't happen by accident, I came into office............ By accident!
