Great Tutorial! Thanks for your help getting this to work! As I use an island start location and Team spawn pads for teleporting and respawning to the Team locations, the Island Setting 'Spawn Location' set to 'Current Location' was very useful for countering the auto-teaming and sky spawns. Also, if your game features 'join in progress', setting this to team 1 helps! Thanks again!

FYI if you want everybody to spawn on the same team you can actually just use a Class Selector linked to the spawnpads. Make it so when they spawn on those spawnpads their team is changed to Team 1 (Or whatever team you want). Then after they choose the team they want from the other Class Selectors make it so the spawn pads disable so they don't spawn there (Unless you want them to choose a team after every round).
The spawned event isn't 100% reliable from the spawn pads and disabling spawn pads after game start has been bugged for a few months now and people occasionally still spawn on them.
Firstly, amazing and subbed. One question, you link the player reference devices to the team portals and also set the portals to the corresponding team index at 17:36. But at 18:16 did you say it "wouldn't" put you all on the correct team as you set the team index on the teleporter? So do we add the team index on the teleporter too or do we only do the player reference device linked? Thanks again for the video. Just what we needed.
Great video, super helpful. One question though: for a gamemode that has unlimited respawns, any ideas on how I could handle players who don't select a team? I can't just kill them for being AFK since they'll respawn.
Sometimes you read some lines and you just don't get it even if you think you did and you need a YTbr to *see*. Like i wanted teams for teleporters on a start line but my teams were dynamic. It was so logical to make teams with one player for it to work xD now every player appears at his own teleporter thank you.
I have a island I’ve been working on with a system that works the same way but I’ve run into an issue, each team has lives and I want them to respawn into their team section every time they die until the round ends and it goes back to the team selector team, I had team spawns but then ran into an issue where on game start players spawn on those team spawns, checkpoints wouldn’t work once multiple team members die at the same time some would spawn in the air, any idea on a work around?

Could you help me with a question? If two players enter the map and both join the same team, the round is not considered won, even with the other teams empty, and the match continues in progress. The same happens when there is only one player on the map. Is there any way to end the round when this happens?

What if you just want to start the game already on a team or certain spawn without having to walk through those selectors? What if someone beats you to it and walk through it before you ? I am still trying to figure out exactly what class means . Plus in your example all the spawners are all in the same location, what if I want them scattered through out a map?

Because once the reference device activates then the players that walked into the team selector are teleported, but anyone else who walks into the team selector, after the timer device succeeds, they don't teleport. For context it’s a 4v4v4v4 zone wars map, and I’d like for each player to have it’s on rift in their corresponding team play area. I added 4 player references, 4 player counters (which are only enabled once the timer succeeds), and 4 attribute evaluators(with a .5 trigger delay).The way I chose to make it work, was that each attribute evaluator would evaluate one player counter device, and once it passes, it would activate the player reference which once activated, it would teleport the player to their corresponding rift. For example: attribute#1 evaluates counter #1, which when it equals to 1(succeeds), the attribute evaluator passes and activates reference # 1, which then teleports the player to their corresponding rift.
attribute#2, evaluates counter #2, which when it equals to 2, the attribute evaluator passes and activates reference # 2, which then teleports the player to their corresponding rift. attribute#3, evaluates counter #3, which when it equals to 3, the attribute evaluator passes and activates reference # 3, which then teleports the player to their corresponding rift. attribute#4, evaluates counter #4, which when it equals to 4, the attribute evaluator passes and activates reference # 4, which then teleports the player to their corresponding rift. Ok this is a great tutorial but im really currently having a weird issue i have 2 teams and 2 teleporters the class selectors select teams ok but it teleports to the opposite teams teleport even ive linked them to the correct ones. Any ideas?
You are a legend! My gosh I wish you'd have done this video earlier, If i could show you the crazy stuff I have done with score manager to actually end the game... =) Couple of questions if you don't mind. What keeps players from actually joining the same team, I assume you want 4 on each team, but I believe that from these settings 6 can join team Cheese without a problem. The other one is I don't eliminate afkers, I do damage overtime for 20sec then eliminate them, so they have a chance to come join on last min, how do I teleport these players that come in late? Will that reference work or do I need a new system? My solution was to just have a very small mutator at the first teleport exit, set to teleport X when exiting the mutator and it worked. Cannot express how happy I am to see a completely new different way to set this kind of game. Cheers man
Yeah I do briefly cover I think what stops 6 people joining the team - link the last player reference to disable on the class selector Your mutator solution is how I would do it for the slow players too (but I'm mean and just eliminate them)
@@TrickTyger Unfortunately even with the last player reference disabling the class selector, it wont stop if 2 players pass together when it is 3/4. Just did the test on with 16 ppl on the map. For some reason the map behaves different on live match than on testing grounds. I am also experiencing some weird longer loading time between rounds, I just can't figure out why, it comes and goes.
@Patriota I use a slightly different setup on my map that triggers a trigger (which only transmits after 4 triggers) linked to on player changed class. This way is easier to explain and works well enough for most but I'm sure there are more efficient ways for sure.
Do I have to use the player references to teleport to the bases? I did on timer success - teleport. It worked when I tried it alone but when I did it with one more person it teleported only one of us, I am not sure what I am missing, can you help me with this?

I don't have the teleporters so you can walk into them. It sounds like you have target groups set up. Just link the class selector to the teleporters and remove all the target groups

If 2 players play the game ,and they join the same team, the game doesnt end. So i have a question. For the custom last standing system to work, does at least 2 players have join different teams so the player counter knows that there are players to compare? im asking this because when a player eliminates another player from a different team, the game ends, so i think the custom last standing system as to at least register 2 players from different teams for it to work just fine.

I’m losing my mind. When I put the player counter enable on phase on none and then enable it using the timer device it doesn’t work. But the moment I put it on game play only it works

@@TrickTygerI just did this for a solo zone wars and it works but I have a question I have it set up where when you die you respawn in the spawn lobby so you can go play box fights as you wait for the game to end how do I do all of that
This only works with respawn limit set to 1, I have heard there is a bug in some maps at the moment that it ignores those settings but I haven't worked out what causes it yet
In the future this will be like kids hooking up a nintendo but the way it is now....I dunno. Work my ass off to make games and barely get play. Good luck.

Just followed the steps and when i launched a session to test it don't end game. Will it only end if there more then 1 person in map?
When published it will work with 1 player, but yeah in an edit session last standing mechanics don't work with 1 player (even the island setting)

This happens if you have the player counters on whole island - swap them to zone (and just make the zone cover your play area) and it will be instant

@@Patriotayeah long loading times between rounds are a pain sometimes. It seems to happen more when people leave at the end of the round.

Timers won't send the instigator so that's why I used player references

Teams don't save across rounds. There's other mechanics you need to do if you want to set that up.
Could I just get an idea of what to do if you don’t mind?

If you use the class selector to a trigger that only triggers after 4 activations linked back to the class selector with no delay then it solves that

instead of putting a barrier on the rift just make the teleporter target group to none
Yeah that doesn't stop them walking back through into the other class selectors though

You have to use the save device to save teams between rounds
It work but the game instandly ends when i start the Game i think because all Player are in team 1. How to fix?

It sounds like you've not linked a teleporter properly. Relink them and try again.

The only thing that is not working is the player counter when someone is killed it is not ending round it is respawning them over and over
This only works with respawn limit set to 1, I have heard there is a bug in some maps at the moment that it ignores those settings but I haven't worked out what causes it yet
