I recently just lost my little birdy… he was my best friend and my little baby. I adored him. He was my first pet.
He used to sing along to my piano every time I played and he would always perch as close as he could to the piano.
Now, it’s only been a couple of days, but I haven’t been able to open the cover of my piano without my heart hurting.
But whenever I feel ready enough I’ll come back to this because I know my little birdy in heaven would enjoy it.
Rip, we lose things that aren't supposed to 😔
I also lost my beloved pet birdy a few weeks ago. We had her since she was only a few days old and I basically grew up with her. I never really talk about her or about what happened to her, but your comment just hit so close to home that I couldn't ignore it. I'm also a pianist and also played the piano with her next to me.
I just want to say that I'm really sorry for what happened and I understand the feeling. Keep playing my friend.

I’ve been easing myself back into playing recently.
I also understand what you mean, about growing up with your bird. When I was 9, all I could think about was having one. I did all my research and everything I could to convince my parents. So for my ninth birthday that’s what we did- got a bird. And I’ve had him for 7 years… it’s like a birdy size hole but stretched x7 in my heart having him gone.
He’s been my buddy ever since and sometimes it still catches me off guard of all the things I wanted to do and had all the chance to do but never did- and that I will never be able to. And the silence, always the silence.
I hope you can continue playing also, and that you will eventually find comfort in the grief which is never and easy thing to find… always here if you ever want to talk :)

Both hands. Take it section by section. Maybe it’s just personal preference tho ppl learn differently 😅
everyone learns differently, but for me the best method is to go bar by bar, do the bar like 5 tomes (1 right , 1 left, 3 together) and when you finish 4 or 5 bars try play them together

You hit everything perfectly in this song. The only difference is, it lacks the feeling the original has. There's something about the slowing down on certain notes that just makes the song better. If you could match the tempo of the actual song, this would be the best cover ever.

I'm learning this right now and I am at the part at 39 seconds but on my sheet music I can't play it as my hands are too small to stretch out. This version seems easier and playable for smaller hands. Is there any possibility I can look at the music just for the 39 seconds part to be sure it is easier?
The sheet music timing seems off, in the very first bar the sheet music reads as if you are hitting G & B in the left hand and a higher B in the right hand at the same time, but in the video the higher G comes just after the G & B in the left hand?

Fuck yeah, closest to the original. Will learn this. Got a grand piano in the music building at school. I hate life😁 I have no friends, that piano is my only friend. I'm self taught and can't read a licken bit of treble clef. I play bass trombone but play allot of piano at school
Question, please respond. Do you pedal during playing this? I can play it without pedalling but especially the left hand doesn't give me the rich sound of the chords that are produced in this video.
Also on your sheet music I couldn't find any pedalling instructions. Is the sound edited to make it more lasting?

Want people to know. I’ve been playing for 9 years and the timing with the notes on this song is relatively hard but the guy this guy is fingering it makes it a bit harder, you can make it easier. Not saying this is wrong. Because it’s not. But I’m just saying this guys fingering can make it a bit more complicated if you’re trying to play it just like him. But whatever you want. Just thought this might be helpful 😊
