Zhu Bajie(Wukong's bro, the pig) had a history with the spider mom(all the girls and the lady are spiders), the lady misses BAJIE and really wanted to marry him, her daughters captured the Wukong-transformed-BAJIE, 4:49 "mother isn't thinking clearly" means she can't tell whether he's really BAJIE or fake. 4:53 mistranslation, the Mandarin means "can't you tell...." instead of "you should know....", means the daughters can tell that the BAJIE is fake but they want to make their mom happy. 4:37 "he won't last long", female spider eats male during wedding.

@@MichaelAngeloMAN Anyone who knows the story of Journey to the West will love Monkey King, who in his craziest time single-handedly challenged the army of heaven (refer to the end of the first trailer of Black Myth) and defeated a lot of Chinese gods, Taibaijinxing (a very powerful god) grabbed Sun Wukong and locked it in the oven to bake, Sun Wukong was not killed but got a pair of eyes that can recognize monsters (such as the humanoid spider in the video)
In the original Journey to the West story, seven spider monsters were disguising themselves into gorgeous women and trying to lure Wukong's master (Budda Tang) into their lair and eat him for eternal life. Wukong fought them and saved his master. However, this is the 'black myth', and, from what we've seen so far, the game creators don't follow the 'Journey to the West' storyline or logic at all. To my best guess, they are using that bit of the story and re-built a different storyline to fit the game's logic, namely, new branch of endeavor to explore and creative enemies to fight. If the not-seen groom in the cutscene is Wukong, he likely deliberately let himself be caught and brought to their lair (in disguise of Budda Tang?), to meet the grand spider monster. However, again, from the conversation among the daughters, the giant mommy spider was in love with this groom before he went to heaven (the ending point of the original Journey to the West story), and is still in love with him. Not sure how the game creators would spin this point and make it works. And, whatever they play with it, I keep a high hope of this great team and believe they will churn something great and beyond our expectations!

For someone that have never read the original novel (it is a bit tough to read even for someone whose mother tongue is mandarin, because it was written hundreds years ago), you really get a good understanding of this vedio, maybe the best one among the vtbers I've watched so far. You are right, the "girls" and the "mother", they are all spiders. In the world of the original novel all creatures are able to be enlightened by themselves or by someone else's help. Some of them will have a chance to go to the heaven and be a god/goddess (ancient China have a polytheism culture, which means there can be infinite unmber of god that govers anything). Some Chinese blogers are guessing from the lyrics of the bgm that the mom spider was the moon goddess, she made a mistake: falling in love with another god(according to the rules of the heaven, god/goddess must not have any emotion, e.g. love, hate). Both of they were cast out of the heaven. Their bodies as god/goddess was eliminated and their souls fall into the human's world, and they get new bodies of fresh. The moon goddess' soul got a body of spider and gave birth to her daughters (the "girls" in the video). And her daughter all get enlightened and have limited divinity (maybe except the sixth daughter, the golden spider in the hand) and have the ability to change into shape of human (not 100% human), in the tales they have flaws when change into human shape, for example the mom in the vedio only wears one shoe, the other leg is not like human leg (look carefully).

Everything is so good with this game, I'll be really upset if they messes the story up because we didn't get to see much of the theme it is going on or what the actual reason behind this chaos for example god of war 4 (GOTY title) shows the reason at the starting what's their final wish is (i.e. to throw his mom's ashes). For someone that have never read the original novel (it is a bit tough to read even for someone whose mother tongue is mandarin, because it was written hundreds years ago), you really get a good understanding of this vedio, maybe the best one among the vtbers I've watched so far.
You are right, the "girls" and the "mother", they are all spiders. In the world of the original novel all creatures are able to be enlightened by themselves or by someone else's help. Some of them will have a chance to go to the heaven and be a god/goddess (ancient China have a polytheism culture, which means there can be infinite unmber of god that govers anything). Some Chinese blogers are guessing from the lyrics of the bgm that the mom spider was the moon goddess, she made a mistake: falling in love with another god(according to the rules of the heaven, god/goddess must not have any emotion, e.g. love, hate). Both of they were cast out of the heaven. Their bodies as god/goddess was eliminated and their souls fall into the human's world, and they get new bodies of fresh. The moon goddess' soul got a body of spider and gave birth to her daughters (the "girls" in the video). And her daughter all get enlightened and have limited divinity (maybe except the sixth daughter, the golden spider in the hand) and have the ability to change into shape of human (not 100% human), in the tales they have flaws when change into human shape, for example the mom in the vedio only wears one shoe, the other leg is not like human leg (look carefully).
FYI, in the Chinese original journey to the west story, if one stays in heaven 1 day, the human world will pass 1 year. Since the mother was pretty old, which means the mother and the character (maybe Wu Kong) have been separated for thousands of years. In the original journal, those spider monsters could live more than 10K years. Thar would be desperately waiting for that mother.

The Palace is something the pig built in the realm of the morals that looks up at the moon where chang e lives. Searching in the stars is a analogy, he didn't actually go to the stars (and a moon is not a star). but anyway, that's a signal for the pig and chang e. (no one ever said chang e was a human girl, she could be anything, in this case, spider). Other hints are (female: 天地两世零落 几处离愁, broken apart on heaven and on earth).
In the original fiction, wukong and the pack received the doctrines of the budda and built a better world that is clearly still under the governance of the heavens. If you pay attention to the details, however, the heaven seemed weak in this game(the statues in the beginning of this cutscene have been beheaded and disarmed).

Everything is so good with this game, I'll be really upset if they messes the story up because we didn't get to see much of the theme it is going on or what the actual reason behind this chaos for example god of war 4 (GOTY title) shows the reason at the starting what's their final wish is (i.e. to throw his mom's ashes).
But still I think we get something about the story in the future .
