The thing about Diddy parties and all of the Hollywood parties... everyone knows that it gets WILD later. (THE AFTER PARTY). In the industry, we all show up to different events on a regular. Some people are into the WILD part, others just show up to network with their peers, maybe have a cocktail and then go home. Marlon Wayans has aways been a stand up guy and would always leave early at all of the parties that I have been to. Never seen him drunk or high. He has even given me a ride home when I was too tipsy. (no funny stuff - I worked for him and he was always a gentleman) He has ALWAYS been a stand up guy. Very responsible. His parents instilled great values in all of their children, He is LEGIT!!!

Later the party continues at a different location for those who are more adventurous (and usually you have to be invited). That happens even in the non-industry world. And on the occasion that the party happens at a house and then turns into an after party there, you just know when it's time to leave. The energy shifts, people start getting more free, etc. I understand the not going at all, but it really is like 2 separate parties. That's why you hear people saying that they never saw anything.
