Guys, the thing that was most bothersome about that fight was shakur saying that Artum was running and just surviving, which he wasn’t. Shakur has publicly came out numerous times and said how he would fight tank but most seem to ignore it. He said he will make it boring and not sit in the pocket & bang with him. If he thinks Artum was running then based on what he said, he’s going to do that and probably much worse. Personally, I’m into seeing the best fights, meaning stylistically, not “the best vs the best” because that does not always get you a great fight. He is willing to stoop so low just to get a win.

Unless he had a highlight reel, one punch knockout (like Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams) no matter what he does he's still going to deal with the same criticisms now. Shakur's style is a thing of the past. Boxing now competes with MMA and the rise of UFC has rendered that defensive first style obsolete. This is an attention deficit disorder era. It is what it is. Don't matter how good you are. If no one wants to watch you, you're screwed. That being said, I don't think Shakur is that good. If your style is to land a punch and then spend time evading, forcing the other guy to chase you around, and then when he stops you do it again, that's not the same as hitting someone, then standing the ground, evading and then landing again. Shakur doesn't do that at all. Stop gaslighting. The guy is just not that good.

Y'all were spot on. 💯 Shakur needs to accept himself for who he is. Shakur did what Shakur does. He ain't got that "Killer Instinct" like Tank. He's quite literally the opposite of Tank. He's not built for chasing his opponents around the ring. He's a defensive-first minded boxer. Shakur is pillow fisted. Yet, he's got just enough sharp, respectable power to keep his opponents honest. His damage output comes with accumulated punches over time (unlike Tank's explosive one punch KO power). I will say, if Artem had kept coming forward (like he did with Frank "The Ghost" Martin), instead of running, Kur would've knocked him out. No brainer, and a lot of y'all would have nothing to say. Naw son! Foster was not active enough. Fighters are getting punished for the lack of activity now , which is good for boxing. Sandor Martin , Jermaine ortiz , and now foster. Robson was trying to fight and throwing punches while foster was just running away. He did the de la Hoya (vs Trinidad, which loss him the fight) the entire fight. This is good. Just total inactivity. He wasn't landing as cleanly as they kept saying when he did throw. I rewatched the entire fight with a panel of 30 people trying to understand why the world has gone insane. Careful to not give Robson too much credit for glancing blows or shots Foster was catching with his gloves or shoulder. It was a close fight either direction where the commentary would say the objective opposite of what was happening on screen. Nothing you need special boxing goggles/freeze frame/Slow-down/rewind/etc to see; so I'm just baffled beyond comprehension at the fallout of this fight. What I really don't understand is why people refuse to even watch the rounds the judges said Robson won at bare minimum. Most non-Robbery ever; judges actually saw a fight correctly for once as it was closer than this insanity since insists. Extra baffling how people are clinging to Compubox of all things. He didn't land only 11% of his punches. That's a flat out lie. Compubox has lied before. We all have seen it lie. Compubox is a guy in the audience with a device pressing buttons. I've seen Compubox say a fighter threw no punches in a round I clearly saw them going ham in. No jabs in a round where their jab was immaculate. I've seen it say a fighter threw less punches in an entire fight that we all saw throw in a single round. 100% that AI used for Fury/Usyk would show drastically different results and people would act like the Skynet is trying to gaslight them regardless of how fair the data is. Showing not that Robson won but that it was a closer fight and 11% is horseshit and didn't need an AI to show. People being extremely weirdly stubborn over this fight. Funny Teddy is one of the rare voices of reason on this topic and actually had a card with lots of notes seeing essentially what I saw the first time and on a rewatch.
Compubox numbers are not very accurate. Was Foster better at ring generalship? probably not, Concencao was dictating the pace of the fight. Did Foster have effective aggression? considering that one guy is not punching and the other one is punching the chest, arms and shoulders Foster might've lost there too. How about defense, Foster had better defense and cleaner punching but very few in between. That's why he lost, he wasn't countering and he was mainly blocking and letting Concecao control the fight.

Shakur's style is a thing of the past. Boxing now competes with MMA and the rise of UFC has rendered that defensive first style obsolete. This is an attention deficit disorder era. It is what it is. Don't matter how good you are. If no one wants to watch you, you're screwed. That being said, I don't think Shakur is that good. If your style is to land a punch and then spend time evading, forcing the other guy to chase you around, and then when he stops you do it again, that's not the same as hitting someone, then standing the ground, evading and then landing again. He ain't got that "Killer Instinct" like Tank. He's quite literally the opposite of Tank. He's not built for chasing his opponents around the ring. He's a defensive-first minded boxer. Shakur is pillow fisted. Yet, he's got just enough sharp, respectable power to keep his opponents honest. His damage output comes with accumulated punches over time (unlike Tank's explosive one punch KO power).
I will say, if Artem had kept coming forward (like he did with Frank "The Ghost" Martin), instead of running, Kur would've knocked him out. No brainer, and a lot of y'all would have nothing to say. But that's neither here nor there. Instead, Artem was on survival mode. He felt that respectable power and wanted nothing to do with it. Afterward, Kur said that he needed to work on cutting off the ring. But that's BS. There's no way a seasoned pro like Kur doesn't know how to cut the ring. He didn't cut the ring because he didn't want to cut the ring.
Shakur's not comfortable being the aggressor. Shakur will ALWAYS take the safest route to victory. He didn't want to open himself up to getting clipped. That's the TRUTH. He'll only commit to offense when he's good and ready. That's just who he is. And, for his sake, I hope he stays true to form because if he gets out of line with Tank, it's lights out.

Naw son! Foster was not active enough. Fighters are getting punished for the lack of activity now , which is good for boxing. Sandor Martin , Jermaine ortiz , and now foster. Robson was trying to fight and throwing punches while foster was just running away. He did the de la Hoya (vs Trinidad, which loss him the fight) the entire fight. This is good. Just total inactivity. He wasn't landing as cleanly as they kept saying when he did throw. They were not calling punches for Con that clearly were landing; even talking over the times he did put good work in. I rewatched the entire fight with a panel of 30 people trying to understand why the world has gone insane. Careful to not give Robson too much credit for glancing blows or shots Foster was catching with his gloves or shoulder. It was a close fight either direction where the commentary would say the objective opposite of what was happening on screen. Nothing you need special boxing goggles/freeze frame/Slow-down/rewind/etc to see; so I'm just baffled beyond comprehension at the fallout of this fight.
What I really don't understand is why people refuse to even watch the rounds the judges said Robson won at bare minimum. Most non-Robbery ever; judges actually saw a fight correctly for once as it was closer than this insanity since insists. Extra baffling how people are clinging to Compubox of all things. He didn't land only 11% of his punches. That's a flat out lie. Compubox has lied before. We all have seen it lie. Compubox is a guy in the audience with a device pressing buttons.
I've seen Compubox say a fighter threw no punches in a round I clearly saw them going ham in. No jabs in a round where their jab was immaculate. I've seen it say a fighter threw less punches in an entire fight that we all saw throw in a single round. 100% that AI used for Fury/Usyk would show drastically different results and people would act like the Skynet is trying to gaslight them regardless of how fair the data is. Showing not that Robson won but that it was a closer fight and 11% is horseshit and didn't need an AI to show. People being extremely weirdly stubborn over this fight. Funny Teddy is one of the rare voices of reason on this topic and actually had a card with lots of notes seeing essentially what I saw the first time and on a rewatch.

Compubox numbers are not very accurate. Was Foster better at ring generalship? probably not, Concencao was dictating the pace of the fight. Did Foster have effective aggression? considering that one guy is not punching and the other one is punching the chest, arms and shoulders Foster might've lost there too. How about defense, Foster had better defense and cleaner punching but very few in between. That's why he lost, he wasn't countering and he was mainly blocking and letting Concecao control the fight.

Shakur said he want to be undisputed, thats why he want a shot at Tank or Loma. Tank got a "real" belt now so hes a target. Plus, that hype you gain if you actually beat him is not to be ignored. Exactly lol he lost 4 rounds and got touched up more than ever cause he was trying to get him outta there but it wasnt a shutout or a masterclass by any means. Same as Foster vs Conceicao. Commentary had you thinking Foster was giving him world war beating while he wasnt even throwing punches or making him pay when missed lol. But that fight was so frustrating to watch i half watched it and it was terrible but looked very close. And i say that as massive Bivol fan who also controls pace & distance but at least throwing combos & countering.
Shakur is a dud, he looked great while being at 130lb where he was a weight bully. Now at 135lb he's too scared to get hit, If he fights tank he'll fight like he did De los Santos and Tank will cut the ring and catch him like he did against Frank Martin. They should fight and get it over with.
