      @@jameslew2804 , Personally, I think that the vast majority of someone's time, when pursuing the occult and/or some form of spiritual path should be study. Not necessarily for the sake of mimicking authenticity, but to learn, get ideas and to simply know what one is talking about, not merely imagining and intuiting. *NOW* is a great time to study.

    Great video and advice! I'd also encourage people to actually look into their own cultural routes and the ancient paganism that is base for their todays rituals and traditions. That way you feel very connected with what you have been brought up with but still experience the extra level of spiritualism. I don't think that it is always necessary to only look into the "trendy" pagan religions and work with norse, greek or celtic goods 😊 hahah I have the same new notebook addiction - just looove them 💚

  • @sammycastonguay7439

    Totally. Im not sure if these are tips...but: 1. Don't get too caught up in doctrine, especially when something just doesn't feel right to your spirit. 2. Watch out for gatekeeping power-hungry supremacy type people, paths, or philosophy. 3. Take it seriously, not all things come easy and if you are not willing to shed some ego, assumptions, or preconceived notions... then you will hamper your own path and maybe become cynical. Our elders have a LOT of different things to offer, though not all things will work for you... still do not disregard their way or path. These days it is sometimes hard to sort out the difference between deep wisdom and outdated bias. 4. reiterate the connection to nature, or rather just the space of the world around you. To be from a place means you are part of that place... so spend some time being of your place. 'natural' things yes, but do not leave out the nature present in the human arranged patters and materials.

    • @LucisFerre1
      @LucisFerre1 4 роки тому +3

      2. is important. Well over 90% of people have a thirst for power and control, earned or not, and as long as they're in that trap, they can't experience real spirituality. But that won't stop them from assuming pretentious names and "titles", and pretending to be an authority.

  • @selinalenawell

    I think going on a walk is indeed a very good way to connect with nature and your beliefs. I live in the city too, so sometimes, it can feel a bit too much (and I do love the city). My tip is to be open-minded because it helps a lot when discovering new paths then you can choose the one/or the ones that resonnate with you the most.
    I started off practicing chamanism, then, I rediscovered wicca (which I knew before but it didn't interest me that much back then) but I didn't believe in any of their deities, so it didn't last long.
    I thought myself mostly an agnostic witch at that time, but as it went by, it didn't sound right anymore ! I finally realized I was in fact a pagan animist witch =) It's a very long journey (and it keeps going) so don't be afraid to "fail" because, one day, you'll realize those mistakes can be the best thing that happened to you ^^

      Slavic Paganism if your ancestors came from the central and southern parts of Poland. If your ancestors came from the coast of the Baltic sea, it wouldn't hurt to inform yourself about the Norse gods and the Baltic gods.

    I was wondering if there was a process to become pagan.

      There's not a formal process to becoming Pagan. One becomes a Pagan when they decide to dedicate themselves to the old Gods. :)

      @@sherann6564 If you're interested in the old gods and paganism in general and feel drawn to it in whatever way, just start doing some research, that's what I'm doing at the moment. I'm trying to read up things on the different gods and pagan paths and trying to find one that fits me. You could simply use wikipedia for starters! Or maybe you have a local library that has books on mythologies or wicca for example :)

      @@jinxapologist thank you. I joined a group on Facebook that was for pagans and green witches but it was changed for everyone besides those two. Even though I've not been initiated they allowed me to come in and learn from them but there is one god they like that scares me. Do I have to worship him? Or can we pick who we want. Then I found another person besides this lady here that I have a lot of respect for, called Spells8. He explains a lot too. Wikipedia is cool too. So I'm sticking with all those and learn.

    A good tip for Pagans, don't show or tell you are Pagan till you are sure you won't be judged. The pendant you have is similar to what I have, because of wearing it I was refused an apt. A friend of mine had another piece of jewelry with runes on it and he lost his job, he was told a few times not to wear such symbols yet he disregarded the warning and was kicked out of his work place. Not everyone realizes what Paganism is all about, the older generation may view you as a nazi. Even if it's religious discrimination and wrong it still can cause you trouble. Be proud but if you need a job and apt then keep it on the down-low when going to interviews or visiting apts.
