I think it was the wind generated by the sword. The Grungust didn't leave its place, and swinging the sword around from there doesn't let the tip of the blade reach a single machine. There's even an outwards gust of wind going to all directions during the swing. Unless he was moving too fast for our eyes, we thought we only saw one horizontal slash, when in fact, he was moving all around and slashing them apart one at a time, and then returned to the middle.
@@SoulstrikerV a logical explanation would be his sword can manipulate it's form like from the giant katana and the type 3 zankantou , the illogical and true explanation would be zanger is a badass that he can change the dimensional orientation of his cuts via his sheer will, also generate clouds in outerspace.

Not really, final battle and semi final battle with Sanger is a good example because Sanger actualy lost But then again he did not actualy fight seriously in that one for plot reason, rather epic how Sanger goes from canonically feared Tetsuya(but then again this is Tetsuya) into walking War God in Alpha verse
Actualy Koji vs Sanger ended in a standstill(Well, kaiser Koji) Add Tetsuya and Ryoma and hes dead, not more units needed Although i should give you that story wise The real problem isnt when he is on enemies side, its when you get to use him, nothing screams epic as much as Fighting 6 Ghost X unit, 4 Mecha Gilligan and Granzon alone and taking aproximately no damage every turn
That's cause DGG actually kept this Zankantou that Zengar uses. The Type 3 Grungust got destroyed in a battle, and when Zengar got the DGG, he chose to keep using this Type 3 Zankantou.
Castershell He does use the Colossal blade for all. The only thing is that there are multiple kinds of the Colossal Blade, which is probably what you got confused on. SRW OG and Alpha are two different timelines, FYI. However, in both timelines, Zengar switched from the Type 3 to DGG. But because the DGG's own weaponry wasn't working properly at first, he had no choice but to use the Type 3 Zankantou. Amazingly enough, he chose to use the Type 3 Zankantou since then.
He always ends up like that, no matter what timeline or version of the story. Sanger typically starts out in a Grungust Type 3 carrying the type of Zankantou seen in this video here. By the time he acquires the Dygenguard either the built-in weapons are never working for one reason or another and Sanger takes up the Type 3's Zankantou or he disables the DGG's on-board weapons and just sticks with the Type 3's sword because that's all he needs. Some timelines see the Dygenguard's built in weapons returned to active status. Moon Dwellers allows Sanger the use of Dynamic Knuckle and General Blaster, and some games even bother to return Guardian Sword.

Sengar is so hardcore that a horizontal slice cuts vertically.

Not only does his horizontal slice cut vertically, but he cut some of them 2 to 3 times with a single swing.
He also used the sheer wind from his swing to cut down his enemies. Not the Zankantou itself.
And also scared the shit out of AI piloted mechas.
