Thank you so much for this guide! I just wanted to add a little note of what helped me. When practicing 90s, I couldn't maintain full speed until I noticed that you do a little flick opposite the direction you are going to turn before starting the 90. I'm not sure if it's just a mental thing, but once I added that movement it clicked for me

thanks for this guide, Ive only been playing val for a few days but neon has been the only agent that Ive had fun on. shes exciting to learn despite how awful I am at the game lol, it is a bit hard to find detailed guides on how to use her wall and stuns however

Tysm for the guide, great complement to grumpy guide in my opinion, especially the "90" and "180" movements. Im kinda stuck ascendant and fin a lot of fun palying neon, so if you have any name of player to vod review it would be great !

echoing what others have said - this is definitely by far the best neon tutorial i've seen. especially, the part where you have to switch to W key when chaining 90s, every other video seems to have skipped that detail.

Man this guide is too good. Better than any guide i watched for mastering neon's movement. I am just getting started with valorant and got used to playing neon. Just needed a perfect video like this to master the movement I saw while spectating other neon mains. Bud you definitely gotta make more neon guides. Just wanted to ask what key do you use to switch your weapons if scroll wheel is for jump.
Use 1 2 3 4 as your weapons, knife, and spike

@@Potman583 if for example you are doing a right 90, start transitioning into a left 90 while you are still looking to the right so that you move left (which is forward if you are looking straight if that makes sense), and vice versa: transition to a right 90 when looking left

bro just telling this was insane i saw guide of temet asked many neon mains how do you do this they just tell bhop and air strafes nothin much ,, u breaked it down this good i did it in a good way like learne atleast bhopping not doing 90 and 180 but yeah air strafes and bhop🫶love you bruh

A tip for neon users:
When you entry, after you use fast lane(c) in site, you can use 180s out and in of the fast lane to get info outside the fast lane. Plus, you can use stun inside the fast lane in case of enemies coming inside to kill you while bunnyhopping.

Tip : If you put scroll buttom up then its much easier since u dont need to click each time just keep on scrolling up and dont wait till you hit the ground and you can easily bunny hop

Thanks for the great vid. Would it be more accurate to say you chain 180s? Im not trying to be pedantic, but trying to nail down this technique, and when I slow the vid it looks like youre doing a 90 and then following up with 180 / 180 to go back and forth, or just about
yes, i know what you mean and technically they are 180s, but its a lot easier to explain that you do a 90 to start the chain, then reset your camera and do a 90 in the opposite direction. if it helps though, you are essentially chaining 180s!

Another question for you - does the "whoosh" sound you hear when Neon bhops mean you're keeping your speed? I notice I seem to go faster when I hear it, although I cant tell if its in my head
yeah that kinda “SHHHH” sound when you jump with sprint means you have max speed, so when you bhop you should always hear that noise when you jump :)

hi there, i want to ask a question real quick
i have trouble for choosing and sticking to an agent for me to main, recently i stopped maining omen because i get easily overwhelmed by all the things you have to keep in mind when playing controllers, so i am currently playing fade a lot just because i like her utility, and i got into playing neon as well because i just suddently turn into a way happier person when playing her, even tho i botfrag regardless of the agent i'm playing (i'm iron 3 btw)
should i stick with neon? i really am scared of maining her and receive some toxicity cuz i'm not fragging out and/or i picked a duelist
neon in any elo can be hard to play due to her style and complexity, but especially harder in low elo. do whatever is fun for you, but make sure to focus on being impactful for your team over movement or other niche things. glhf!

Hi. What do i bind my cycle to next weapon or previous to?Since i am gonna use those for jump.
if down scroll is jump, then up scroll can be next weapon or previous weapon. personally i use 1, 2, and 3 for choosing weapons so its hasnt been a problem for me, but i would choose previous weapon for up scroll and then just press 1 to pull out your gun if possible.
you reckon sideways bunnyhopping will still be required now that the directional movement is being buffed?
i think sideways bhopping, 90s and 180s will actually be a lot faster and stronger with the buffs! will experiment when the buffs come out 👍

How do you switch between W and S in the sideways bunnyhopping, which fingers do u use??, I can't do it this fast!
i just use my middle finger and move it back and forth, but if it makes it easier for you then you can probably use your middle and ring finger!

When to use air strafing,90s,180s, sliding redirect ,bunny hopping and sideways bunny hopping and what does these do ?
you should mainly use these when you want to enter a site, jump peek safely, or dodge strafe! all of these are applicable in game, its mainly figuring out when to use what thats the hard part.

i can do the 90's normally but when i try and chain 90s it confuses my brain u got any tips to help with that? or do i just need to practice the 90s more (the way it confuses my brain is idk how to like press d-s and then w and then a-s again like its just to hard)
just try to think of it like a chain reaction, maybe. d and s to s to d to w and so on!

@@ntgengtdd in that case, its probably your camera then. rewatch the 90 section to see how to move your camera so you dont stop!

I don't get the 90 part,somehow I go back not forward. Im definitely doing something wrong.But your tuto is very helpful better than some others I watched ngl
a pretty common mistake i see is that some people will turn too quickly before starting another 90, so try to make sure your movements are nice and smooth and not too jerky.
any tips for 90's? i always lose my momentum when i press the s key
if this is the case, make sure youre continuing to turn enough and the full way through when youre holding s! also make sure your camera movements are smooth :)

Wait, does pressing w (movement keys) give speed while jumping? I've played lot of CS HnS, kreedz back in the day. I know for fact it doesnt affect speed in cs while bhoppin. Instead it slows my speed. So i ve been using same mechanics in valo (kind of a habit). As i was watching you are pressing movement keys while strafing (a d). Got confused if i was bhoppin wrong the whole time playin valo.
yes! valorant does not use the same engine as cs(to my knowledge), so theres no reason to not press w while bhopping.

thats probably because you arent jumping as soon as you hit the ground, so you lose speed. just try jumping earlier so that you barely touch the ground before you jump again.

sure! if for example you are doing a right 90, start transitioning into a left 90 while you are still looking to the right so that you move left (which is forward if you are looking straight if that makes sense), and vice versa: transition to a right 90 when looking left

When trying to chain 90s, I can't keep my momentum to go forward. For some reason I just move backwards.
make sure youre keeping your camera smooth and transitioning your camera and keys correctly, as well as not turning too quick. good luck!
Every video I watch people say to bind jump to scroll wheel but I still don’t understand why?
using space to jump can be hard since you need to jump as soon as you hit the ground, so the timing is very difficult. with scroll wheel, as long as you scroll right before you hit the ground, you are guaranteed a perfect bhop :)
how can I take out NEON running hand? I can't do it. When I ulti and tried to bunny hop.I can only see her ulti hands aiming, unliek yours it's showing her hands in running mode.
if you ult but only want her hand, then press her sprint button two times, the first to pull out your gun and the second to take out your normal hand.

sure! if you know how to do 90s in both directions, do a 90 to the right, then once you hit the ground, just look at the keys you need to press next. then try doing the same thing but to the left. practice doing a right 90, then hold AS while you jump to chain into a left 90. hope this helps!

make sure your keybinds dont overlap! valorant usually has pulling out weapons for the scroll wheel so make sure to unbind that first.

a 90 isnt meant to be done on its own. the power of a 90 is when you start chaining them together. then, you move back and forth on a horizontal line while moving forward, and you can slide out when you end the chain for a kill!

Very good tutorial but there is a problème, when neon jump, the sprint stop working, its normal, I do something wrong ?
make sure you have sprint left in the bar when you start jumping, and also check your keybindings to see if some of them might be overlapping

@@mattop1454 if you double tap your sprint key then it will unactivate, and sliding also makes you stop sprinting.

air strafing is pretty easy to shoot. i would chain 90s if you are wanting to dodge strafe and then slide out of it :)

make sure youre timing your jumps and being smooth while changing your keys

what is pressing shift for
shift is my crouch button. it usually does nothing unless you are jumping onto an object. if so, then it makes jumps up easier and/or makes certain jumps possible that weren’t without crouching
