A deeply moving video. Young, healthy, well educated, handsome like a movie star, and obviously from a well to do family, it is a mystery to me why a young man like him would renounce samsara and become a monk. When I saw so many people, not just women but grown up men, too, and especially his brothers and sister, shedding tears, a profound sadness enveloped me. When the would be monk knelt in front of his heartbroken, weeping father, and looked at him with tears in his own eyes, I wept also. His mother, sitting near her husband, looked so drained of energy, weak, fragile, and so helpless; it was just too painful to watch. Why is he doing this? I asked myself several times. He would have made a good, very desirable husband to some lucky girl; but it was not to be. The answer came to me soon, though: When he stood next to his guru, his head shaved, wearing a simple white cotton sheet, his face glowed. This is what he wanted to do, after all, and this is how he wished to live his life. Even though watching this video made me sad, I was also happy for him that he achieved what he must have dreamt for years: To be a monk, and walk on the spiritual path. A very nice, thought-provoking video. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania.

Life is precious,it has a purpose. It is good to do something for society rather renouncing materialism. you seems to be from well to do family, you have resources and capacity to have a good profession, where you can help country to grow. you are selfish.
There is for sure a reason only the individuals know why they doing this. Just like death. Only the dying know. Young people please consider the sacrifices your parents gave taken to bring yòu thus far before you make such drastic decisions. Think about the pain and stress you are causing them for the rest of their lives. Children are gifts to parents and this is what happens I will never understand why. Many parents are childless longing for children. You can still be with your parents work make money and give the money to the people who need. Donate for worthy causes like bursaries for intelligent but poor students. Please don't make a mockery of all these issues. I am so very very sorry because everything seems to me very hypocritical. We would very much like the individuals or parents to explain what drove such handsome and beautiful educated children to take such drastic steps. Please someone explain to me.
