i've always wanted a telepresence Dalek, quite similar to the device you describe here, except [1] no viewscreen and [2] voice is always ring-modulated

Just got the best idea ever! Get skype on my ipod, attach it to my RC car, then call the ipod and i can do this!
Requirements;
Cheap RC car
Ipod w/ skype
some celotape
time and patience.
