After the bath, the deities are dressed in traditional attire and adorned with garlands. They are then displayed to the public for darshan.
Due to the extensive bath, the color and paint of the deities might get affected, leading to a belief that the deities fall ill, requiring them to be kept away from public view for a period known as 'Anavasara.'
3. *Hati Besha:*
During the Snan Yatra, the deities are dressed in a special attire known as 'Hati Besha' or 'Gajanana Besha,' where they are adorned with elephant-like features. This unique appearance symbolizes Lord Jagannath as Lord Ganesha.
4. *Anavasara:*
Following the Snan Yatra, the deities are not available for public viewing for a period of 15 days. This period is believed to be a time of rest and recovery for the deities, during which they are offered special treatments and rituals.
5. *Preparation for Ratha Yatra:*
The Snan Yatra also signifies the beginning of the preparations for the annual Ratha Yatra, where the deities are taken out on grand chariots for a procession to the Gundicha Temple.
