Great video Ryo,
The acrylic absorbes water vapor on the inside of the cover. This causes the acrylic to grow on that side. That is what is causing the warping. You can fix this by gluing 2 or 3 cm high acrylic stiffeners lengthwise along the cover. Three 5mm thick stiffeners should do the trick. Otherwise switch to a glass or polycarbonate cover.
Go Brownie👍🤞
Cheers,
Chris
Also if it doesn't want to cooperate you use your hair dryer to heat it up just a little bit when you put the stiffeners on.
You should get lucky bamboo for the panda tank to have a forest with the leaves sticking out.
Oh my gosh, that would be perfect, a big school of panda cories with somewhat submerged bamboo, and either a male betta or a small sorority of female bettas. Asian theme, yes!!!
Panda Cory’s are awesome mines are always interested in everything
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Happy Fish Keeping!
Thanks for another fun video Ryo! That guy at the fish store has some mad skills.
I've been looking out for your next video... thanks for this awesome one.
loving your vlogs bro, fishes are amazing!
Foo the Flowerhorn has a diy acrylic lid where it allows light to go in to the aquarium by making the lid in a cylindrical form. So that the duckweed and the plants beneath gets the light.
I LOVE panda cories, they're absolutely my favorite! And just wait until they start glass surfing, cleaning algae off your java ferns, and leaving tiny whisker marks in the sand. These are often harder to see, besides first thing in the morning, when the sun comes in at an angle and the tank lights aren't on yet.
That’s awesome!! Thanks for your great comment! I’ll definitely look out for those cute whisker marks on the sand. Thank you :)
Beautiful tanks! 😄 and cute cory..
Great video as always. Your tanks are looking great. I hope Browny is feeling better.
Dang bro that video gave you a huge boost in subscribers! Almost 10k! So happy for you man! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Let's not skip Ads for Ryo and his educational videos!
Thanks for the help Ryo! I currently have my first planted tank it's 1 month old and I am now ready to put some Panda Corys
I'd recommend turning off lights when introducing new fish. Do your changes before you add them to lower the scare factor.
Panda corydoras are not only my all time favorite corydoras, but my all time favorite fish! So glad you will get to enjoy them! Nice pickup!!!
Thank you Otter Creek!! They are such a cool species of Cory even though they are pretty common :)
I have 2 pandas....they are super sweet to watch as they scan the bottom for food together. Enjoy!
The angels are nice too...they look like Koi angels.
Thank you!! You should definitely get some more. They are awesome to watch when schooling

Rio is so GWAPO! And a very nice voice! I am so hooked with your vlogs! More videos please idol Rio!
I had those species and they are so cute
I have a 6 feat tank 100 over species of Cory and they look amazing
What kind of light did you use in your planted tank? Ty.
Take a hairdryer to that cover and straighten it out, dont heat it for too long tho cos it'll frost up. It's gonna warp back out of shape over time tho, that's just the thing with acrylic covers. I'd suggest going glass or gluing strips of thicker acrylic lengthwise(after straightening it out). Custom glass covers shouldnt be too expensive, any lfs u are familiar with could probably get some made for you for $10-15, just make sure they bevel all the edges. You could consider polycarbonate too but I have yet to find a reliable source for custom cut clear poly locally, I've only found the wafer-type polycarbonate sheets which is a no go for light transmission.
And ignore the haters, keep doing what you do, everyone learns something from someone else. I for one just care that your vids are enjoyable to watch.
Cute
Hi Bro Ryo greetings from malaysia. These panda corydoras are keep in room temperature?
I like the big rock set up. Nice. You don’t keep crayfish? Is so popular now. I loving it
Great video on my favourite cory... The panda cory was my first cory I bought from Singapore and now I have a breeding group.... Even managed to sell the fry as breeding for profit .... I have videos of them breeding on my channel. This cory made me fall in love with all corydoras now.... On a mission to collect other species 😊
That’s awesome! I’d love to breed panda Cory’s or any other type of Cory someday. Not now though as I don’t really have the time to breed fish
@@RyoWatanabee it's real easy with pandas.... Trade secret is feed em and condition them with good quality worms.... I just use freeze dried tubifex... Live black worms are better and then a partial water change. And give them some moss or breeding mop and I can bet on it your gonna be seeing some eggs. Raising the fry is a whole different ordeal 😂
Love u! From Bangladesh
How big is that tank with the corys?
Your java fern is melting because you’ve planted its roots and rhizome into the substrate, it’s roots take in nutrients from the water column not from the substrate, therefore it needs to be attached to decor like a rock or piece of driftwood 👍
Gyaaaa just got my amano shrimp yesterday for the algae in the plants because there is no available otocinclus yet haha does yours got to the plants and pick the algae? So far mine just lie low on the sand hahaha
Mine, eat off of anything! Those Amano shrimp are really hard workers. But make sure to feed them pellets as well so they get a balanced diet
Hi ryo , i need your advice. Why my java moss isn't growing well? I glued and stick them on one of my ornament rock. Is it i glued them on their roots so they stopped growing? 😫
I’m not sure. Java moss shouldn’t die. Do you have lighting in your tank?
@@RyoWatanabee yes i have 10W . :/ Ive watched and did some research , they said java moss is the easiest growing plants. :l
Do a vedio how to make a plant aquarium
I just bought 3 black phantom angels.could you reply how is their personalities and how do u play with them
🍊👼🐠 (Orange Angelfish)
Hi. just wanna ask for an advice. how to make a 55g tank crystal clear? i already installed a top filter and a bio foam filter, yet the water is still cloudy. ps. the tank has 4 3" oscars and 5 4" tiger convics.
So you ended up buying the Panda Corydoras.Fitting with the Panda theme like you said.Have you figured out if those Panda Angels are male and female?
Glen Bagz no, I haven’t figured out whether they are male or female but I have a feeling that they are both males. I could be wrong though.
I have 7 albino corys . My corys like to swim everywhere. . . Is that normal behavior?!?! They don't really stay on the ground
My panda corys always hide behind rock. They come out only when I feed. Guppys and shrimps are its tankmates and they don't bother corys. I've only 3 and was planning to add 3 more as they like to be in school. But I don't think their behavior is going to change. I think it is the substrate. They like to graze around in fine sand and my substrate is typical planted tank substrate. They don't like bright lights too.
Yes, I noticed they don’t really like when the light is bright. Thank fully the panda Cory’s are doing well :)
how many gallons is that aquarium?
You have to turn the led over, then it will bend it back...!!
Panda Corys are amazing. Definitely my favorite Corydora. Do you ever quarantine your fish?
No I don’t. Most of the time, I buy them from stores that already quarantine their fish. I really should get a quarantine tank set up soon
@@RyoWatanabee if you trust your fish store I see no reason to quarnteen just stresses the fish out with moving them around to much : )
Dude wtf. I live a few blocks from that aquarium shop hahaha
Which aquarium is that? Ive seen aquariums selling sick fish. Looking for reliable ones
Looks like they might get into a fight 🏹 Angel fish looks pretty mean 👿
GOOD👍👏👏👏😄
👍🤩
👍
I love this video men....i do i love ur fish....from..PH...❤❤🌹❤❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤
You should have fake bamboos as well 🥳
Where did you buy your panda corys from!
181 Aquarium. I fed them pellets, frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp
Flip the acrylic lid over and it’ll flatten out. You’ll need to keep flipping it cuz it’ll bend again.
You have inspired me a bit more to set up a plated tank I use silk plants but love your videos
Awesome! You should use live aquatic plants! It’ll make your tank look more natural :)
Are u Singaporean cause in your vid I heard a sound "This is how Singaporean catch fish"
I’m half Japanese half American. I think that was the owner of the fish store that said that
That battery flashing on the screen made me so scared, I thought that my phone had just died!
Yo bro from sg ? Would love to meet up I am a hobbyist also !!!
I like watching your videos but am concerned that you don't seem to quarantine new fish. Please correct me if I'm wrong. ❤️
I don’t quarantine because the fish stores quarantine them for me. Not all fish stores quarantine but I buy from the ones that do.
@@RyoWatanabee Thank you for letting me know.☺️ It's good that you have fish stores that you can trust! I would have to drive to another state to buy fish that I would trust enough to not quarantine and that would be from the Aquarium Co-op. Thanks for sharing your content with us.😀
If i put shrimp in my tank they are dead after one day
Looks more Dalmatian Fish than Panda 🐼
Yeah, I used to call them dalmatians but I find it’s easier to call them pandas
hey ryo would u be interested in selling that frogbit to me? cheers im just starting this new hobby
Yes, I want to sell my frogbit. I’ll do all for $2. That plant grows like crazy
I’m really happy I got these panda Corydoras catfish! What’s your favorite Cory species?
Corydoras Paleatus! They were my first corys ever, 25 years ago 👍🏻
Duplicareus. Followed by Hastatus
Hello Ryo! Shout out my channel please 😊
