I did not expect to cry during this. When the judge stepped down and walk vet to Tiamat, hold her hand, gave her true compassion and understanding, that broke me. There are still good people in this world. This judge is one of them. Seeing beyond what her own daughter couldn’t, and giving her genuine acceptance and support. I’m done cutting these onions now 😭

If they think having this person live next to them is such a horrific, life altering experience, I have little hope they could deal with any real adversity without curling into a ball and crying.

If I am honest, when I initially saw Tiamat I judged her and thought she looked scary. Then I realised that she isn’t scary, it’s just that I am not use to seeing someone who looks this different. Tiamat comes across as such a lovely person, and has a very hard life. It really makes you realise that you need to be careful not to prejudge, and that it is what is on the inside that counts.

I appreciate that the judge treated snake lady with respect but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have issues and she needs therapy. Helping her get appropriate therapy would be a blessing to her. The judge was also dismissive of the daughter because not only is she dealing with abandonment and her father being transgender, she is also dealing with her father "turning into a snake" which is understandably very traumatic to her.

I've seen several interviews with tiamet and she's a very interesting person, deserves the same respect everyone else does
If I am honest, when I initially saw Tiamat I judged her and thought she looked scary. Then I realised that she isn’t scary, it’s just that I am not use to seeing someone who looks this different. Tiamat comes across as such a lovely person, and has a very hard life. It really makes you realise that you need to be careful not to prejudge, and that it is what is on the inside that counts.

I appreciate that the judge treated snake lady with respect but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have issues and she needs therapy. Helping her get appropriate therapy would be a blessing to her. The judge was also dismissive of the daughter because not only is she dealing with abandonment and her father being transgender, she is also dealing with her father "turning into a snake" which is understandably very traumatic to her.
