Thanks mate, looking at this video seems like there is quite some depth in the game. Haven't touched the game yet, but looking forward to playing it soon.
Normal attacks aren't that great later on in the game. Monsters do far too much damage at higher levels for you to stand there and smack them over the head a couple dozen times. The build in the video is Swordsman/Peltasta/Barbarian. Lots of ways you can go from there but I would advise against heavy auto attack builds.
Lisker mine only ever goes up to 5 and stops. I just use it to buy XP tomes so it refills. Maybe i haven't waited enough to get more or something but so far it never went above 5
Man, this is not really about the game but, where are u from? I mean, your accent is quite nice hahah! I'm Brazilian btw... Just askin cuz it makes your English clear and very understandable even in 1.25 video spd
+Dingu There is a ladder for PvE, too for people who want to compete that way but otherwise, yeah it's a pretty casual "log in and smack some monsters about" game =)
I just started playing and its so nostalgic Im ok with grinding in games like this but honestly, it gets bored when there is no challenge, why does the game have to be so easy, I know it gets harder, but ots just a faceroll. I can have mobs hitting me on resting mode and I heal more than the dage they do. Wish there was more of a challenge on world mobs and bosses
I have a question about the class leveling system. Let's say I want to play as Plague Doctor for example. I come to the necessary rank, pick him and then level him up to the 3rd level. What's next? I am basically forced to dump him and pick something new? I don't want that. Also can I switch between the classes I went through already? Let's say if I pick Wizard, then go Cryo and then something else, can I respec into the wizard back?
+Daniel Korolev You don't "dump" anything. You keep all the skills you picked along the way. Basically it's like Build your own bear but with classes. And yes you can go Wizard-Cryo-Wizard-Linker-Wizard-Cryo if you want. Not always the best idea to jump around between different classes but it's an option.
+CloakingDonkey Thank you. So once again to make sure. I collect all the skills along the way just like in RO. So I can be Cryo, Wiz, Pyro and all of them together if I want since I have skills from all of them. But the way my character looks like is determined by the current class, right? And one more question, sir. I heard you have to do a quest to get a new profession/class. Let me know if it's true and how it's different from the RO profession quests I loved so much.
Daniel Korolev RO was a long time ago. I don't remember the profession quests tbh. Here when you hit Class lvl 15 you immediately choose your advancement from a window and then get a quest depending on the one you picked. The first rank quest is pretty easy and rather short but the further you go down a class the more involved and story heavy the quest gets. If you look at my Swordsman in the video, the green buttons on the top hotbar are from Swordsman Circle 1, the green button on 5 is a Peltasta Circle 1 skill and the buttons on 2 and 4 are offensive skills from Barbarian. So yes you get to keep all abilities you put points in =) The visuals of your character are based on the costume you are wearing. Whenever you pick a new class you get their costume (and Circle 3 costumes are planned). You can wear any of the costumes you own. So my character again f.e. I have a Swordsman costume, Peltasta costume and Barbarian costume and can wear whichever one I want at any time.
CloakingDonkey Well in RO when you hit the right level as an acolyte you had to pass sort of a test to become a priest. Once the quest is over you become a priest, not before. I loved that system, it felt like you needed to go through a test to prove you are worthy or something. So here you first get the new class and only then a quest associated with it. And your last paragraph helped clear all the issues I had. Thank you very much. Subbed for more ToS content.
Daniel Korolev oh yeah then that's how the quests work in ToS, too. You basically just pick which of the classes you want to become from the window and then get the quest for that specific class, you don't become that class though (and can't progress further) until you completed the quest
How does attribute learning work? I'm tying to learn the 2-H Sword Attribute but I cant seem to learn it. I've been waiting for almost 30 mins and it only requires 1 minute. Why cant I learn it ?
Orange Chilipowder I think it's with your class if you choose a class who uses a two handed sword then you'd be able to use it you can also save your skill attribute points and go to your class master npc to exchange those points into your attributes
+Renzo Miranda There are certain "break points" in the EXP curve. When you hit such a point the next few levels require FAR less experience. You can see it in this table here: www.tosbase.com/game/exp-tables/base/ check out the difference needed to achieve lvl 46 against achieving 47.
+Robonator Yeah I'm still not a huge fan of the way they structured the launch but it gives me the opportunity to finish up a bunch of guides in advance =)
+BarttheBartBart No guide can exist for him because Commander LoadFail is completely busted. Whoever programmed that boss should be publically flogged. 20 whacks right on the bellend.
The MINIMUM are: OS: Windows XP Processor: Intel Pentium Core 2 Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce 8600 DirectX: Version 9.0c Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 4 GB available space Additional Notes: Keyboard, Mouse
they have a LOW SPEC MODE, uncheck Vertical Sync ON cuz that will eat loads of RAM. and Uncheck other effects at the bottom. I have an i3 7th Gen w/ NviDia GeForce 940MX it runs pretty smoothly
I like the art of the game, and it looks like something i could play. But what about the premium stuff?. I dont mind spending money in a game... but when money = power kinda breaks it for me.
+GnomoMZ short answer: money doesn't buy power. I will be making a detailed video on monetization and also all my criticism next. I feel it's better to have all that in one place than sprinkled throughout the videos ^^
Indeed, but i dont mind when fremium is well implemented... if you have to pay to get better looking stuff, or for resets or things like that i dont mind. When affects gameplay it annoys me.
they opened an english progression server for Ragnarok Online a week or so ago, meaning it starts in the state it was in in 2003 and progresses through the updates. It's called Ragnarok Online Restart =)
too bad there is no sandbox mode for us to test all the classes and builds. With so many classes they should have thought about this. Besides, I prefer to stick to a flexible build and not the so typical ragnarok pure one stats build cause they are stupid af.
CloakingDonkey Yeah, we have enough money to buy sp potions and dex is only needed by some class. I remembered that i needed dex as a hunter in ragnarok
The game is far more simple than you are suggesting. First off, you never mentioned anything about how quests offer tons of experience for beginners, so "grinding" won't be a such a big deal. You don't need to follow a build with your first play through, because there are only *4 stats* to choose from, making it simple as hell. It's obvious you will look at classes, no one is that stupid to start an MMO without looking at classes. If not, whatever; do whatever the fuck you want! Everything in this game is strong at high level; EVERYTHING. And if you really feel you need a reset, buy a reset. Otherwise, just make another character. You can't possibly fuck up in this game if you go all the way. If you have fun playing your character, chances are your build is good. Build for fun, not potential. Fun = Power. Find alternatives for you weaknesses. This game offer many options for balance.
"Otherwise, just make another character. " this may surprise you mate but not everyone has the time to waste on gimping a character just for shits and giggles. If you know everything, why did you even look at a beginner's guide? :P
CloakingDonkey Oh, not everyone has the time to waste with their own leisure? Interesting, interesting. I think what you mean to say is; "I don't have the patience or the attention span to do that". In that case, I understand. Um, I watched the video to hear what it had to say. Couldn't you have surmised that yourself?
Seung-hyun You can pass it off as whatever you want buddy. Wasting potentially over 100 hours on a character you are going to delete has nothing to do with patience and it's something employed adults don't have time for. =)
Seung-hyun ahem " I think what you mean to say is; "I don't have the patience or the attention span to do that"." something about glass houses and rocks... ;)
Thanks for the guide, just what i need to get started!
awesome. Hope you'll enjoy yourself =)
now what, this is the most viewed video in your channel.. maybe you should make more video about tree of savior
+Ahmadannuha Maghfuri it's not even close to the most viewed video but yes, maybe I should.
I love your content and can't wait to see more Tree of Savior.
+Thornorium Thanks! Next ToS vids are already in the planning stage ;)
Thanks mate, looking at this video seems like there is quite some depth in the game. Haven't touched the game yet, but looking forward to playing it soon.
Great video! It was easy to listen to and the resources were helpful. Thanks for the good content. c:
Nice video sir. Im playing this again and you are on spot on most infos
my very first video game guide in youtube ive completed 😂😂 ...

Just starting out, godspeed man
+Angelo good luck! hope it helps.
Thank you I really appreciate you doing this.
Quality content, I can see you having more subscribers bro. xD Very informative.
Which class are you playing at the begging of the video? like a ninja or something xD great video bro thank you
+Salvatore Schembri It's a Barbarian. I just happen to be using a "Nodachi" 2h sword at the time :D
+CloakingDonkey thank you!
Downloading the game now, and this tips are good.
When will i be able to play this game in the UK?
+AnbuHD it goes into the free to play release on the 28th of april. You can currently only get in through early access.
So, what is if u take Sadhu and then Monk to rank 3..... what should i Statt? Str? Int?
I want a Fencer so what do i go with classes
Nice Guide bro! can you make a guide about exp card?
+NuruL Fikri I will in my 1-100 leveling guide. ETA end of this week - mid next week
Is there any guide for a quest completing ?
Thank you soooo much! this video is very informative and is definitely helpful
you're welcome. =)
Great guide, well done
thanks =)
i want a character who uses mainly normal attacks, it seems that you're using the same class. what build path are you using??
Normal attacks aren't that great later on in the game. Monsters do far too much damage at higher levels for you to stand there and smack them over the head a couple dozen times. The build in the video is Swordsman/Peltasta/Barbarian. Lots of ways you can go from there but I would advise against heavy auto attack builds.
oh, i see. thank you for the advice.
You get free TP each day, so you can save up for a skill reset, but it will take quite a bit to save up.
+Lisker aren't free TP capped at 5?
+CloakingDonkey Isn't that per day? or per couple of hours?
Lisker mine only ever goes up to 5 and stops. I just use it to buy XP tomes so it refills. Maybe i haven't waited enough to get more or something but so far it never went above 5
+CloakingDonkey Ah, that would fucking suck if that was the case.
Man, this is not really about the game but, where are u from? I mean, your accent is quite nice hahah! I'm Brazilian btw... Just askin cuz it makes your English clear and very understandable even in 1.25 video spd
+Felipe Penteado I'm from Germany. I try to take great care to speak very clearly in my informative videos ;)
So is this game just like a casual PvE game like Maplestory?
+Dingu theres minor pvp arenas and open world gvg but nothing to write home about.
+Dingu There is a ladder for PvE, too for people who want to compete that way but otherwise, yeah it's a pretty casual "log in and smack some monsters about" game =)
what class is that
I just started playing and its so nostalgic

I wouldn't agree with adding spr for swordsman, lvl 10 condensed sp potions are affordable
How do we buy TP? I just downloaded the game yesterday from steam and I can't seem to find a way to buy it.
+koushinproductions lol?
Shaanan Grey ?
its on Steam.. Find the Tree of Savior store page on steam..

X Zelxski hmm.. alright. Sucks.
+X Zelxski ok,I waited half of year and now possibli 1 more month? I hope they work really hard
+CloakingDonkey feed me with guids :D I'll get lvl100 2nd day when it is launched
which class is most easiest to lvling?
+Jepah fromthespace hmm probably Archer once you pick up Ranger
How does attribute learning work? I'm tying to learn the 2-H Sword Attribute but I cant seem to learn it. I've been waiting for almost 30 mins and it only requires 1 minute. Why cant I learn it ?

Nice video bud. Subbed
Can you make a guide on how to defeat Commander LoadFail pls. i can't get passed him D:
+BarttheBartBart No guide can exist for him because Commander LoadFail is completely busted. Whoever programmed that boss should be publically flogged. 20 whacks right on the bellend.
+CloakingDonkey Only 20? Damn, you're being a generous donkey today!
what is th system requirement of steam? my laptop is kinda low spec, peace
The MINIMUM are:
OS: Windows XP
Processor: Intel Pentium Core 2
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce 8600
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 4 GB available space
Additional Notes: Keyboard, Mouse
they have a LOW SPEC MODE, uncheck Vertical Sync ON cuz that will eat loads of RAM. and Uncheck other effects at the bottom.
I have an i3 7th Gen w/ NviDia GeForce 940MX it runs pretty smoothly
Thanks, I liked and subscribed :D
Is this the spiritual successor of Lunia?
Nevermind it seems waaaaaay different than Lunia.
it was supposed to be the spiritual successor to Ragnarok Online actually ;)
hey whats good stat build for cleric? D:D:D:D
depends on what type of cleric you want, full support, half support half dmg, more dmg, less support, lots you can combine
you can respec with free TP u get while just being online
+CodeBoxDE How when you can only have 5 free TP at a time?
I like the art of the game, and it looks like something i could play.

Nice, will watch. I ussualy like pay to play more than freemium, but i really like the aesthetic.
GnomoMZ Yeah me too I'm generally not a fan of f2p or even most b2p systems. Hard to avoid them though these days :D

+Shinji D Yeah sadly those flexible builds just aren't as good =( I don't like it either but high STR/INT is just better than everything else.
+CloakingDonkey well if u like to be one hitted by monsters u can do it. I prefer survival over all. 66% int 33%con
Shinji D Yeah CON is fine, I was more talking about SPR and DEX. they're a waste imo.
CloakingDonkey Yeah, we have enough money to buy sp potions and dex is only needed by some class. I remembered that i needed dex as a hunter in ragnarok
You sound like Skallagrim :)
+Christopher Brown I'm not him although I love his channel. Anyway I'll take it as a compliment :D
CloakingDonkey It was a compliment :)
This sounds complicated
i mean, if you like your hand being held every step of the way ;)
who wants to be my AKO?
500???? O.O

something about glass houses and rocks... ;)
