It's funny Kevin mentioned getting used to diet soda. Years ago I hated it and wanted nothing to do with it. But now I actually like coke zero better then regular coke.
My mom was also really good about not forcing me to eat foods I didn't like and 8 really respect her for that.

There’s a podcast I love called Off Menu where they have comedians, actors, musicians etc on to interview them about their dream meals. They ask “still or sparkling water?”, “poppadoms or bread?,” and then dream starter, dream main course, dream side dish, dream drink, and dream dessert. I think you’d love the podcast since it’s UK-based but it would also be a fun format for a video!

Oh my we have so much in common. I too finished the first yr of the LPN program and quit when we started clinicals because I realized my mouth would not be good in that profession , lol. I too wanted to be a teacher and played teacher as a kid, my first car was a Chevette, lol. And our ages are one yr apart , I was born in 71, got married in 1990 and have 2 kids too. No wonder I was drawn to you and your channel . I find it so funny how much were alike. I loved the book part of nursing and finished with a 99 average but could not handle the dealing with patients part.

Love learning things about you both! Personally, I only like the reviews of the items that I can find at my regular stores, and the new releases are my favorite. For the items that I'd never be able to get (at the world market for example), I don't watch them because I feel like what's the point if I can never eat it anyway, it's just a tease lol. Just my personal opinion! Also, I love tuna casserole, it's definitely my favorite cheap meal.

42:04. Your version of Indecent Proposal. Despite knowing many answers I still find it interesting what questions some of the newer members have. For me if calories weren’t a factor it would be pizza, pasta, ice cream and chocolates all day long….oh wait, I’ve just figured out now I know where I’m going wrong, calories do matter 😂😂. Sitting on death row I’d have pancakes for breakfast, burger and chips for lunch, large Dominoes for dinner…ice cream for dessert after all 3 meals. Thanks for the weekly round up.

OKAY!😂 Here is the really long way to ask a question. I love to compare and contrast similar products. I have been watching some of your Cheesecake Factory reviews. You have one review where you compare the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake with Adam’s Peanut Buttercup Fudge Ripple and you pick the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake as your new go to cheesecake. But in this video when you pick the foods you would eat if calories don’t count you specifically mention the Adam’s Peanut buttercup cheesecake instead of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake cheesecake. My question is has the Adam’s Peanut buttercup Fudge Ripple cheesecake again become your go to cheesecake when you go to the Cheesecake Factory?

What restaurant chain would you guys wish would come to your town? Right now I wish The Cheesecake Factory would come to mine. I would like to put the cheesecakes in different groups and pick my favorites.
The number one thing that comes to mind that I wouldn’t eat as a kid but eat now as an adult is coleslaw. When I used to see it on peoples lunch trays as a kid it looked like a perfectly shaped mound of puke🤢. Regular coleslaw isn’t cut that way and I finally gave it a try some years ago. I wish I could remember when I started eating it but I can’t. I think maybe 3 years ago.

I completely agree with you on vasectomy. Kevin is a smart man! It's reversible, unlike getting your tubes tied. And getting your tubes tied isn't even legal everywhere. I think a vasectomy is a smart, good choice. Various forms of birth control can ruin a woman's body in so many ways and also many women can't take any birth control for many health reasons. I wish vasectomies were talked about more, more normalized
It was a much easier operation and the healing time was fast.
In the lean years my husband and I used to eat hamburger helper minus the hamburger. Now I am so blessed, sadly my husband has passed but the lean years are behind me. I would go back because we had each other and that was important.

As for food I didn't eat as a child that I will eat now theres one big one, sour cream! I hated it as a kid and i absolutely LOVE it now!! It is so good on tacos, potatoes and chili!
As for having to eat everything on my plate, yes i had to or i had to stay at the table for hours or go to bed hungry.Liver and spinach were bad but the absolute worst was stuffed bell peppers. It is probably why I can't even look at a bell pepper now without feeling sick. I hated them then and I hate them even more now. Even a small piece flavors the entire meal like when people put it in chili it is all I can taste. They are a bossy vegetable and they taste metallic to me. Absolutely horrible. I would eat the filling out of the pepper and it was okay but I could still taste the pepper in the filling. But then I had to sit there for hours staring at a pepper shell and being forced to eat it. So yeah not the best childhood and I would never do that to anyone else.
But let's end this on a happy note. Though I may not have a family now watching your videos everyday brightens my day and I appreciate you guys 😊

@@TamiDunn no you are definitely right. They did that and more. My childhood was hell but I made it through it and it has made me a stronger person. Unfortunately it goes beyond being forced to eat certain foods. The abuse was rampant but I won't bore you with the details. I guess that all that really matters is I have come out the other side and can still find ways to be happy like watching your videos. I have an extended Kentucky family! 😊

Another great video,,, the story about your lpn journey had me laughing and I also went through an RN program and the 1st year was great with books and dummy patients ,,, then I had to actually touch real patients,,, lol,, and realized VERY quickly that being an RN was not my cup of tea,,, for those same reasons you named,,, lol,,, I am an out patient medical coder for a hospital now ,,, so still w healthcare but working w the dx as words instead of looking at the condition on the patient,,, I think teachers should be one of the highest paid jobs in the country tbh,,, especially bc the issues that many kids face now that spill over into a classroom,,, thanks for the great q&a

I actually gave an update on Christina. It was in one of the Q&A videos posted on a Monday. It would have been before The Villages videos came out, but I don’t know which one.
One of my favorite foods are pickles, so I buy a bunch every time I go to the store so I have enough. The (older lady) cashier went "who's pregnant" to my mom and I... 🙄
When I was a grocery worker myself, I didn't say a word about what people would buy. I was just doing my job getting that stuff for them. I got paid the same way, whether I was filling the cart with organic produce and grass-fed meat, or ding dongs and cheez doodles. (Though tbf, the junk food was more fun to grab)
The most frequent cheap meal my mom would make was a london broil steak with powdered mashed potatoes and frozen green peas. I hated ALL of those foods as a kid, and I still do as an adult. It wasn't her fault at all, she tried her best, but I loathed that meal lmao. (At least it was my gateway to hot sauce, dousing that steak in tabasco...)
My mom pushed me to go to college, but I wasn't interested either nor could I either do it due to my anxiety and disabilities. I would've gotten a culinary certificate at least, but the professor literally told me to my face that it wasn't even worth trying. He was right and I agreed with him. I wouldn't be able to handle a job in the field, so I'm comfortable and fine with doing things at my own pace and will in my own kitchen.
If calories weren't a bother I'd stick to my old safe foods haha. Chicken tenders, sweet potato fries, stouffer's mac and cheese, pepperoni pizza with ranch, chocolate milk, yadda yadda I could go on.
The only junk food I still eat is cereal. That has always been a food that has stuck with me. It keeps me alive pretty much since it's my main source of calories/carbs.
I don't like holidays... They were fun when I was a kid, but I've grown up in that way where it becomes a headache and I just want it over. Even my birthday.
I'd rather give too. All I do is give.
I can't have kids and I don't want them anyway. I told my mom, the closest you'll get to a grandkid is the dog...
I hated fruits and vegetables as a kid (we were spoiled by junk tbh), but I love most of them now. The ones I hate are mostly the ones my mom tried to feed me... (Hello, mashed potatoes!!!!)
My mom made me eat that steak meal... (Though I refused the peas.) I remember being fussy about it at times, but if I wanted to eat dinner I had to trudge through it.
I also recall intensely rejecting the rectangular Ellio's pizza my mom tried to give me one night... I left a mean note too on my untouched cold plate. With the local places just down the road, I had a right to be spoiled!
But other than when we had steak, our house was more of a "fend for yourself" kinda deal. So I basically lived off of frozen stuff my mom bought until I taught myself how to cook.

Honestly, they shouldn't comment at all. That should be the first thing they are taught when they get the job.
I was taught to mind your busniess espessily while working. I grew up working at the front end. Unless I know i can joke with the person, like they're my regular. (i left in 2016) i just flat out quit (dont do that) but they were pretty awful to me in the end. "either you like me the way i do or you don't" that's why i use insta I can't "edit" and people have said it was fine that i can't edit, but i'll be back soon don't worry.
