Walker is getting older, James is never fit, Trippier's performance have been unstable last season, and TAA'S defensive ability lacking

Ben was treated poorly by Southgate and they wasted weeks of his time when he could have spent his few weeks of time off a year with his family.
Ben isn't a huge football fan so training with an England squad didn't appeal to him when he either didn't get picked or didn't play.
I'm sure he wouldn't let us down if he plays again and we shouldn't bar players from international duties if they choose not to play for some reason.

We'll never know for sure but the fact is he's a grown man and should have risen above petty differences to represent his country at the highest level. His ego couldn't handle it and imo I don't want players of that weak mentality anywhere near the squad

I can't believe the poor analysis on this TalkSport video. The issue clearly wasn't with Kyle Walker at right-back; it was with Harry Maguire. Ben White even explained this, but it seems like the hosts didn't do their homework. It's obvious they've been told what to say by their producers without actually researching the story. Extremely disappointing from TalkSport.

People have the timeline wrong at the time of the falling out Ben white was a centre back. He was annoyed he couldn’t get a game ahead of Harry Maguire (whom I think was injured) and I think at the time Tyrone mings. Clearly just didn’t want to be around Steve Holland but if he does come back he is a squad player so needs to be happy warming that bench
He is a CB and was his whole life. Fullback is his other skill. You say warming bench but there is no England defender I would ever trade white for. White can overlap as a fb and underlay to play in midfield. I would never take Trent or Reece James over him. Maybe John stones is the only England defender I would trade for stones but then again stones has a major injury problem.
White played well last season as a right back, and got into Premier League team of the season. Hardly a worst or last choice of RBs available to England.
Ignoring that fact he would the best defensively of all of them, and he's also gets forward well.... White already has great chemistry with Saka who plays on the right side of the pitch for England, it only makes sense.
@@theach84 I’m not sure I agree tbh around the right back. If Reece James can ever get fit I think he’s got the full package that does seem to be a big if unfortunately. I would like to see the next manager take some bold calls and I think they involve having a word with walker and tripper and saying thanks but building for future. I would like to see TAA get a proper run at RB if only to remove the what if that surrounds him. I would happily take white back in the squad thou

Perhaps the player has a point. If your boss is a prick, how much do you take? When do you stand up? How much do you take? If White was in the squad, he was not 4th choice. He was in front of Trent whom you all drool over and cannot get a game.
We do not know what happened. He may have a fair point and be a man of principle. Not a sheep like most players who endure bluffers.

Until you know what exactly happened with white then you can’t really say. I’m glad Steve hollands gone, a total waste. If Ben whites issues are because he’s not no 1 then either he commits or quits it’s about that basic, if his stats and performances and form is better than the others in his position then he should be in the first 11 again it’s that basic, it wasn’t that way with Southgate as he seemed to be stuck on certain players. Ben white needs to meet with Englands new manager and have a conversation and ask him, if my stats are better than the other players in my position will I play? It’s a fair question, however, they’re maybe tactical considerations also but I think that the bundled stats are a key indicator. Based on the managers response then White will know which way to go, if he thinks he should be the automatic choice then he’s being unreasonable. No England player regardless of reputation or name should be the automatic choice, in my opinion, it needs to decided once again on the form of the player. I believe if the squad knows this then they are more ready to accept bench time, you may have two great full right backs with great stats, a nice problem, then it’s down to who plays the way the manager wants and rotating them more often until the manager sees what he is looking for, that’s my two cents, don’t beat me up to bad!
Ben White needs to spend less time in the tanning salon and more time building bridges with the FA. I’m sure books will come in future that will reveal everything that went on in Qatar. And Germany.
