I have zhyiun gimbal and it's awesome. When I saw the video I was like, wow, smaller version? I'm in! But after watching the video, I'm not sold. The stabilisation is way better than nothing, but it's rather very bad compared to the gimbal I have(don't know the model).
Could you compare this with Feiyutech Vlog Pocket? Its a little bit older, but idea is the same - gimbal with "good enough" results and small, pocketable size. I'm curious which is better

I am actually looking for the stick+tripod for the family use, having family of 5 I am always finding myself looking for a photographer or an opportunity to get the group selfie where all would fit in.. do you think it’s a good option for me? I am thinking it more for a social media fun right? I just love how it looks 😀
Purchased this item three weeks ago - unable to get the code from the Zhyiun app. Submitted several tickets to technical support and no response. Paid good money for a dead-stick and Zhyiun is ignoring the customers.
I have the Smooth 4 and while i'm satisfied with it, it's heavy and bulky so i don't normally carry it out wherever i go, this one seems nice but my phone has no OIS lol so it's not gonna work.

Zhiyun gimballs are generally good on hardwarewise, but their phone app's are just trash, especially for android phones. For apple phones, app is better and more bug free/usable. I'm using zhiyun smoothQ for nearly 3 years with my Samsung Note 4's native cam app, just to use stabilization because of that trash app.

Yes it's hard we it lacks the 3rd arm for 3 axis. Only 2 axis will never be as good as 3 but it is smaller (at a cost)

Great review.. I have older 3 axal gimbal... Just too big and heavy. I like this smaller one with the extension ability

I'm now using Snoppa Atom, the smallest foldable 3-axis, I guess. Only the software needs improvement in certain areas but general use is fine.

Very informative review! Only one question- when in tripod mode how do you actually make shots? Is there a remote control? Missed it..
No in the tripod mode you program it in for example the time lapse shots and hit start it does it’s thing.

I don't think it's worth downgrading from 3 axis. Interesting and nice size though
Save in size but not the stability. Especially the up and down as mentioned in the cons

That;s the annoying cicadas in the trees! Those bugs make a lot of noise in the pine trees normally I do voice overs but for the Vlog stuff I can;t

OIS definatly will help since this has no 3rd axis only 2 axis. Pan and roll

That phone’s own eis and ois seem enough, no need for a gimbal tbh. Or at least this gimbal in particular. I didn’t see any improvements with it.

Pretty useless then, loads of great small 3 axis gimbals out there some by zhiyun.
Yeah the Q2 seems good but it's kinda dated now so waiting for an updated version and hopefully more software improvements
