Cold the oil soaks into the cardboard, chocolate firms, moisture reduces the crunch. Hot is best, but I'll eat 3 day old refrigerated lava cakes and still love them

But the thing you gotta remember is that the brownie and lava cake are meant to be eaten warm so eating them cold probably aren't quite as good as the cake ones which are meant to be cool or cold.

And trust me, I never believe in getting dessert at a restaurant unless it's one of those free deals, but like a chocolate stampede is like enough to satisfy 4 people easily. Like 10 dollars may seem like a lot but if you consider the prices of the mousse and hazelnut crusting on the bottom alone it's actually a pretty good deal. Plus the one nearest me gives you like an entire pint of icecream with it. If you and your s/o both like chocolate it is a perfect special treat (and if you can control the urge to eat till you feel sick) it is a good thing to eat while sitting at home watching netflix and cuddling. (Idk if you do that but that's what me and my husband do and it makes our friday night in a lot sweeter idk but I do get your opinion, I just have a deep emotional connection with a dessert lmao)
