This experiment, given its conditions, really made me think about 2 things:
1) We can never estimate the number of marbles contained, but only the proportion between one kind of marble and the other.
2)To estimate the goodness of our estimate we should not just consider the sample size(i.e. marbles extracted) and the number of iterations (i.e. number of extractions we made), but the relationship between these two and the overall population size (i.e. marble in the bag).
Well done, simple yet wonderful experiment that easily demonstrates how we are easily fooled by our simpleness of thought.
