We are sisters, Julia and Anastasia Vanderbyl. A few years ago, we began a journey to live a life in perfect harmony with nature. A life of caring for animals, growing fruit, planting trees, gardening, cooking, creating, building and learning to live with the land.
In this time, nature has taught us more than we could have ever imagined.
Our environmental films document the landscape, the lessons we’ve learnt and our work as regenerative farmers here on Bundjalung Country.
We live on the land of the Arakwal and Minjungbal People of the Bundjalung Nation. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country we live on and recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters. We thank them for protecting this rainforest and its ecosystems since time immemorial.

Hi Julia and Anastasia,
What an unexpected pleasure it was to meet you in the local pub in Mullumbimby (!) after seeing you just weeks earlier at the Fitzrovia Gallery. We hired an electric car and explored the rainforests and waterfalls of the Northern Rivers region and it is indeed beautiful and must be preserved. We took hundreds of pics and videos, which I shall treasure, but one of my favourites is the snap my friend took of the 3 of us in the pub!
Thank you for the photo op and keep up the amazing job you and your mother are doing, of teaching us all the true value of nature.

Beautiful as always. Your work reminds me to appreciate the magnificence of the tropical island on which I live. I paused the video to hear if the bird sounds were yours ir mine. They were both 😊. This morning I woke to the sound of coucal pheasants calling and doing their wedding dance under the white mahogany.
You're in the middle of summer, I'm in the middle of winter. Like you the seasons don't matter too much, we still live, breath and enjoy come what may.
Fulfilling and rewarding experience in the process of creating a sanctuary for all life to thrive and flourish.

I love this video, it has to be one of the very best to date. The scenery is immaculate during this time of the year. I'm so heart broken and devastated that I didn't get to taste the first mangos of the season on such a beautiful and unforgettable day. The hard work has returned and the animals look very happy to be with you both once again to learn from your gentleness and touch. The pecan pie looked so amazing my mouth is still watering. Nature takes man to calm, rest and recreation, so what most comforts man and relaxes the eye is looking at nature from seas, rivers, trees, roses, rain, flowers and all creatures
The only place you can feel the natural vibes is in the jungle so calm and relax but most of all is to enjoy the natural foods freshy and healthy! Nice vedio, firm works and refreshing summer can be that good season in a free zone gaming in a swimming pool oh yes and so is the climbings but be careful miss no go miss no piss but all time peace and kiss!

Thanks for another great video. Living in the south, you forget the warmth of the tropical summer rain. The colours are beautiful but the thing I liked the most in this video was the lovely dawn sequence with the sounds so ethederal and echoing in the valley.

I miss the narration, and now realize that was calming for me. I'm so proud of your book tour and painting sales. I'm sure a new clothing line is in the works too. You have seen both worlds and may understand more of what you have and why that appeals to some of us stuck in the otherworld...peace.

Lovely scenery and lifestyle. My first time watching the channel and enjoyed the sights and sounds. I’m on the other side of the continent and haven’t spent much time in your kind of forest. Love the greenery and sights and sounds. I’m sure the channel and book is helping recharge peoples spirits all around this lovely planet. Agree with most of your comment Geoffrey but some of us just don’t have the practical ability to escape the rat race. The world does need some form fillers too!

@@geoffreywalter6953 Thanks for your reply Geoffrey. Back in 1989, I was on a course with Actors Institute which was excellent. One person said about me “why are you working in a bank? Why are you not a mountain ranger in a national park“. I would’ve loved that, but I am the thickest person in the world with my hands and I was good at finance. I also loved it at its best but would still much rather have had the ability A and J have to put up fences etc. But who knows, sometimes it can be better for your passion to be just an interest rather than something that pays the bills.
