His enemy swings the blade swiftly.
But at this moment, he thinks faster than his instincts.
Within the time between seconds, he taught himself the lessons from all his life. Did it all lead up to this very moment? He wondered.

The blade hits his cheek. The next lessons is taught.
"Drawing a blade would mean drawing blood. Every swing is aimed to kill. The scabbard tricks your opponent into thinking he is yet to die."
He keeps the blade sheathed, knowing it's too late to block the hit.
"To live is to struggle. Therefore, in life, battle is always expected. To be able to fight, you have to keep on living. A great technique is retreating to plan out your next move. Always remember to take a step back."
He then falls on his weight to dodge the blow, sparing him an eye.
"The blade is not the danger, it is the tool of the danger. The true danger lies at those who give these tools a purpose."
He finally unsheathes the blade, wounding the forearm of his opponent.
"An advantage will cost a disadvantage. A wise man takes lesser risk, a wiser man takes more and succeeds."
As he gets on his feet, the opponent then aims to stake his guts. The man then takes the blow and holds on to his enemy's blade.
"A battle is the execution of plans. A greater plan is more valuable than any sharp blade. "
The man strikes his enemy's wound by the forearm, successfully tugging the blade from his grasps.
"Final lesson; always learn from your mistakes."
The opponent unsheathes a second blade, the man pulls the blade from his guts. He then blocks the same attempt with his sword and ends the battle with his opponent's own blade.

Shocked, the bully felt a deathly hold around their fist.
"Are we going to have an issue?" he said out of character, for there was no quiver in his voice.
The weakling now stood taller over them.
In his eyes, they saw not his usual meek brown eyes, but the wrath of the cosmos.
The boy which once feared them, now struck the fear of god in their heart.

reminded me of the 12 cosmos/knowledge devil of chainsawman. at one point they bring the enemy into their library where they can use their power of all the knowledge in the universe and can force it into others minds. a minute later that enemy is screaming halloween halloween and will do so for the rest of their life having gone completely insane. devils in that universe r based off the fear of any 1 thing. top tier manga :)
