I wish they could find a way to bring captain Lorca back. maybe a combination of the good one and the bad one. he was played by an excellent British actor and was a very engaging character.
I like that we'll see Garrett, I'm still uncertain I want a section 31 focused project at all though. Having them around as a recurring frenemy faction for Starfleet to deal with, sure, that works. Having them the center of a movie... Not so sure that fits with what I like about Trek, though I'm sure in and of itself it will be perfectly fine and they've certainly got a lead that will do well.
If you remember the how and why Philipa Georgio got into the past, then you remember that she was sent to point in the past before the mirror universe and the prime universe diverged. Perhaps this detail will allow what we think of as 'known events' to play differently.
Star Trek Section 31 movies for TV sounds good to me. Anything to get more content created and stories shared. It’d make sense if the first movie explores Section 31 origins. I expect mirror universe hopping will be a feature if Georgiou is facing “sins of past”. I would like to see a Star Trek Legacy TV series return to the Delta Quadrant and do a reverse-course starting w Neelix and back to the Ocampa. I’d also love an animated Trek that changes setting each week; an animation style more comic-book or action-hero styled (not cartoonish) and action oriented. It’s expensive to build sets but animation can show lots of starships and guest stars who just record dialogue.
Sooooo let me get this straight . A younger version of Rachel Garrett is appearing on Star Trek Section 31? She was the Captain of the Enterprise-C in the 2340's sooooo how is she going to appear in the disco-verse which is set roughly 90 years before Captain Garrett is in command of the Enterprise-C. I guess more canon breaking is order eh????😂
Yeho is a great actress. I loved her in everything everywhere all at once. But in Discovery she always tended to overreact in a forced houmoristic way. No bad vibes, but Discovery is not a bad show because it has strong female characters, it's bad because all characters are very badly written. Then Yeho is kind of an undertaker for my favorite franchises. She joined Discovery: it's the worst trek show of all time, she joined the Witcher spin off and it's dead before it started. But the thing is she's a great actress, but I have no Idea why she's anticipating there, a show and probably a movie that doesn't fit her. I can sadly predict that the section 31 movie will not be good, unfortunately...
@@lovipoekimo176In a successful free market capitalist society, like what created Star Trek from the start, I find it very odd that someone politely voicing their simple dislike of a subpar product somehow leads to them being labeled as "toxic"...... That behavior sounds pretty toxic if you ask me🤨🙄😒. Free market=free choice to reject poor quality products without disrespect🙃😉.
Star Trek universe/franchise has become a convoluted mess/dumpster to follow. Shouldn't have to have a watch a synopsis background video just to set up the premise of possible upcoming movie plots. Miss the days of TOS. Over-reliance on unlimited alternative timeline/parallel universe themes has given free license to lazy scripts which could have been written by a 3rd grader and has ruined what used to be a great franchise.
These in-between years of Section 31 both intrigue and concern me, as my preference was the precedent set by DS9 "Inquisition" (which continued into Enterprise) where the true nature of the organisation was always ambiguous. Based upon Sloan's final words though, there are no bases, dedicated ships, etc.
When you hear the screenwriter saying they want to deliver an experience that is true to the universe but appeals to newcomers, you know to lower your expectations 😕
@rHinosYth actually he's not. There were many people who were in uproar over an onscreen interracial kiss, just as you are now about some perceived "agenda". What agenda anyway, attempting to gain acceptance through normalizing?
Rachel Garrett was captain of the Enterprise C. Star Trek section 31 predates the Enterprise A. Having even a young Rachel Garrett around before the Enterprise A is a major stretch of believability. Was Rachel Garrett not a human?
As mentioned in the video, we don't have a confirmed date for when Section 31 the movie takes place. Likely it will now take place somewhere between 2300-2340 :) - Jack

I'm leaving forward to the movie
Michelle Yeoh said she was open to making a sequel if the first film was successful.
if there is a sequel i hope they show the enterprise b and alan ruck back as captain john harriman!
Trek Central is back with another great vid.
Poor Michelle is destined to become one of those actors that win both an Academy award and a Razzie
NOPE.....
That bird noise is so loud and annoying ruins the story telling
not capt jack more like capt prat

Directed by discovery veteran made me lost all interest in this.
Good, less toxic fans
@lovipoekimo176 not many Disco fans. 😂
@lovipoekimo176 at least 17 individuals liked his statement seems like more dislike the discoverse than like it😂
Should never had hope

I am 71 living on Social Security and I have not justified purchasing the second season of STRANGE NEW WORLDS. 😊
Wise words from a revered elder.
Captain Lorca was Dark a perfect fit for section 31
Lorca was the only TSD character I liked.
Can't watch your videos with that annoying Twitter sound constantly playing....

I wonder if we are going to see the Enterprise C in this new movie.
I like to say yes, about the same Picard is promoted to Captain of the Stargazer.

This is interesting!
I believe it takes place in the late 2320s and early 2330s
I knew that statue was going to mean something more

In that preview image, Darth Vader inspired methinks.
CAPTAIN RACHEL GARRETT'S
story ends at
NARENDRA 3
and
possibly in the
2360's
TNG episode
YESTERDAY'S ENTERPRISE
No thanks.
Michelle Yeoh is Metal! 🤘😁🖖🇨🇦❤️
Wait! The lost era?
Geogiou Class!
And as an after credits scene they could introduce a young Luther Sloan!
Its not pronouced Tome- ed..😅 . Its toomd.
Nope
so Omari Hardwick and Sam Richardson is in this, I'm all in .... 💯.... not another word needed.
Why does have recheal garret being a section 31 operative just seems totally wrong?
I wish they’d make a Strange New Worlds movie.
I w old bet that it’s a time travel tale with here looking for prime Lorca
Looking forward to this.
Peace and Long Life 🖖🏽
Looking forward to it!
That whistle 👎
Im not holding my breath. Theyll find a way to screw this up. Agenda over making a good show or movie.
Oh good, the people who would have been frothing at the mouth over Kirk and Urura's kiss back in the day have showed up.
@@raze3297 Oh look someone making sh!t up!

They're going to desecrate Garrett now, too, eh?
I can't wait, it's been so long since a Star Trek movie from any timeline. Bring it in
SECTION 31
DIDN'T EXIST
until it was created for
DS9
so that
SIDDIG EL FADIL/ BASHIR
wouldn't quit the show
Ugh no more Kurtzman Trek for the love of Khaless, please!
Kurtzman Trek is FAR BETTER than Berman Trek...
