First: The bathroom has a little feature where you can use that spacer on the left door (you can see the hinge and spacer as Matt closes the doors @14:04) which lets you close the doors at a slight angle outward, giving just a bit more room inside the wet bath when in use. I would have liked to see you show that. Likes: 1) AWD Ford Transit 2) Li3 Package 3) Good sized fridge and bed Dislikes: 1) The price. I get that the Li3 Package is expensive, but this is too much. I never thought I'd see the day when a Coachmen on a Ford chassis would be near the TOP of the price list in it's category. 2) Crowding the tiny wet bath with a needless sink 3) I prefer a convection microwave, especially with the Li3 Package
Great comments. I think you said it very well. Hard to fathom this cost. I have a 2022 Winnebago Vista. Small 30’ class A. It came with a solar panel. I upgraded to lithium batteries, added more panels , new controller, etc. I had it done aftermarket and spent about $6K. I can’t run both AC units but for a little more I could.
Love the wood, hate the basin wasting space in the bathroom - when will they learn?! Love the bed, love the screen doors to allow everything to be open. Freezer needs to be pull-out so you don't have to stand on your head to get things out, but great size! Love the lagun table but wish it was a larger surface. Hate the price; for that much they could have put in a convection microwave
I understand government regulations (not really) for the front passenger seat having to be facing forward to drive but it has always bugged me a little. I can imagine I'm parked somewhere isolated or not, and some maniac is attempting to break in and cause harm....and you cant jump in driver seat to drive over...I mean away! Although I always have a "plan b" option on me....but it still bothers me that driving away in an emergency would not be there. Maybe there is a workaround for that sensor!
I was really looking forward to this review. Unfortunately, the wind made it impossible to hear the review of the exterior. This problem seems to be occurring more frequently lately. Time to address the problem, Matt.
Love your videos, love this van! Might consider this, would have to step inside one to truly get an idea. Video sound has been mostly inaudible when you are outside and very faint when you turn away from camera even when inside. I've noticed it for about a week now. Not sure if you are aware, so wanted to give you a heads-up:-) I pay attention to the points you make on the outside as well as the inside and miss the outside comments.
I have a 2021 22C Li3, and for the shower I added a shower curtain extender and that makes all the difference - it is almost a full size shower and you can stand up. - plus it makes it almost a prime pooping position 🙂(if you are by yourself and use the curtain for privacy)
Andrea always speaks about counter space. I think that sitting at the table with a cutting board is quite a comfortable way to prepare food, and I love the way you two review RVs. Much success to you!
Really like the lithium package. It isn’t cheap but well worth it. I would love to see the 22D floor plan. I think it would give you more garage space, especially on travel days. I think the sink needs to be left out of the bathroom. Thanks for the review and a sale price would really help when deciding what rv to buy.
@@AGhostInTheMachine I ordered mine last year in February, picked up in December. Paid $123k but upcharge 7k because supply issues. So about 130k plus tax. Picked up several states over and drove it home. Love love love it. Smooth, powerful, silent, amazing. No tic tic tic of diesel like sprinter. It's now 150k+😭. If I sell mine I could make 20k above what I've paid since it's only 2500 miles on it... Crazy market.
Just watched this video from the lounge of our rented Canadream Coachman Beyond 22C ;) It's a gorgeous rig, such beautiful quality and definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for this floorplan.
High matt and Andrea! Thus is a nice class B. My likes are the bed the refrigerator and the space you have from ceiling. I love the lagoon table as well. My dislikes are the wet bath needs to be made a little bigger. And no basement storage. Wish there was a little bit of it. And wish there was an easier way to hook up the table. Thank you Matt and Andrea. Hope you have fun at your rally! I’ll be there in spirit. Love you guys!
I love love love the sliding side and back screens and the day and night shades. I love the refrigerator/freezer size, too. The bathroom is beautiful but I'd have to do something else rather than that shower curtain. I also dislike the tiny sink but love an induction burner. I agree about the back storage cubbies but the speakers would be nice for outdoor listening. I'd buy this!
Super nice unit; the fact that it has dovetailed drawers speaks volumes. EDIT: FYI, audio is awful since you've made the mic change a couple of weeks ago..., borderline unbearable when you are outside and quite literally achieving the exact opposite of your intention. I've gotten to the point of just muting.
Great B class but also like the RB model, which I would buy in a heartbeat with a Lottery win. Want to comment that the AC in the unit is really quiet compared to other units. Love Coachmen quality. Did you notice the dovetailed drawers? It's expensive, but you get a great looking van.
I live in Fort Worth Texas close to the dealerships you visit. You're more than welcomed to store your ladder in our garage. And we'd love to take yall out to dinner. Love your channel and loving this Class B. I keep telling my husband I want one. LOL. Sending you love from Fort Worth Texas. ❤️
Very good video. This van would work pretty darn well for seeing the country. Four captain's chairs would work even better but with 4 seats you'd lose kitchen space, get a tiny fridge and tiny countertop and even less bathroom space.
I wish the cabinets were a bit more curved and euro style instead of square and chunky. But overall I like this van. I keep thinking of switching to one. Also, there's another expensive option raising the price in addition to the Lithium. AWD is adding probably 6k.
as a tall person, I have to say that curved overhead cabinet doors end up putting the edge of the open doors at a great height for hitting a person in the head! So I look for flat fronts…
I saw a class b as a day tripper, you want a conversion van with a kitchen. This is a nice unit but cramped for one person as a RV. Two people can use an RV like this, it will be one with end up a solo trip. 😀 The audio needs work as I had to fast forward through the outdoor part. Now for the price. I just can’t see it.
Thank you Matt and Andrea for giving us a tour of this class B. I am not a big fan of Bs, however this is probably one of the better ones I’ve seen. I must agree with Matt I don’t like the bathroom, I wish they had the same shades on the kitchen window like the rest of the windows. I also don’t like the microwave, but I don’t know if they could do a microwave/convection oven. As for my likes, I like the light cabinets going to combo the lights inside the cabinets. I like the swivel tv and I like the laguna table. I also like the bigger refrigerator.
I see in the specs that it does have a generator. No mention in the specs about batteries or solar panels. On another note consider a selfie stick to show the roof.
I’m new to the RV thing. We recently bought a class C. I’m not sure I understand why anyone would pay more for a B than they would for a C. Is it only for the convenience of parking? Because that’s the only benefit I can see. A C has nearly twice the living space, slideouts and infinitely more storage and tank capacity. I see why some might want a B van, but for $70k more than an average C, I don’t get it.
First a class B is more friendly to drive and takes up less space in parking lots. In a B you’re not that jerk that’s taking up three or more spaces to park. Their mor nimble and can go many more places than someone with a class C can ever dream of. You can get four wheel drive, something unavailable in a class C unless you want custom built or Super C, both of which start in the $350k range. If you’re all about “camping” with full hookups and neighbors and sticking to Interstates, paved highways and the occasional improved gravel highway then by all means class C. I prefer no neighbors and being able to park in a National Forest where you’ll never get. Also, learn to conserve instead of relying on hooking up to water and sewer. I can dump my cassette toilet anywhere and don’t have to find/use a dump station. Gas stations, rest areas, pit toilet, etc… all work great.
We have a 2021 Beyond 22C in white exterior and white wood interior. We LOVE it. Ours is not LI3 which is fine for our needs…and we didn’t pay ANYWHERE near that MSRP! And without getting too personal, we use the bathroom with the doors closed. Lol.
GenX Vanlifer here - Loved the living space, but not a fan of those side bathrooms. The lagoon table design has to be improved so that whatever table system they put in these vans can not be in the way when you don't need it. The sink looked a bit small to really wash any kind of dishes. I would prefer a square/rectangular larger sink.
We are currently renting one for a week and I definitely agree with your sink comment. When I'm washing a pot or skillet it doesn't fit in the sink with the handle and water splashes out when rinsing. A round sink requires pots with foldable handles.
Just to clarify: The Coachmen B vans all do use Truma for both heating and hot water. However, it’s not the Truma instant hot water version. It is the Truma Combi, a compact unit that provides both heat and hot water, and can run on propane, electricity, or both at once. However, it has a 2.6 gallon hot water tank that takes about 20 minutes to heat before you have hot water. Also, 2.6 gallons makes for short showers.
Finally Nancy! I’ve thought the same thing! I asked a representative at an RV show, they pretty much laughed at me for being concerned. Not rocket science folks!
It's tough to find a Class B that Matt isn't picking apart. I think it's great that Matt found a bed that is comfortable, and being Ford platform is great. And being Lithium, Coachmen has a winner 🏆. Now, if we could do something with the price...
Great video guys I always enjoy them And I know this is not a comedy this is a very Well done informative video about that class B , But when you let us know about the MSRP in fact I'm still laughing like A-day later , Thank you take care
Can a wheel chair ramp be put on this door and have the passenger seat removed so a wheel chair can be parked there? The wheel chair is under 100 pounds.
For some reason I just don't like these Bs with the rear sofa/couch thing. The Travato 5GL is still the best. Wish someone would do a similar Floorplan on the Ford or Mercedes chassis.
I went to an RV show back in January and that style wet bath even as a 5'8" 140 woman cannot stand up in that wet bath. It is useless. The rear wet bath type is much better.
Class C is the way to go. The Class B is too small for my taste. Also, most of the Class B's are way too expensive. They cost so much more than Class C's. Why? I will never know. You are paying thousands more for a tiny space in a Class B.
I hate that you have to have the driver open to fill the gas tank. The price is nuts, even if the sale price is mid $150s. But I would love this van to travel solo.
Not really. You open the driver’s door, get out, open gas door. You can then close driver’s door if you want until you’re done and ready to get back in.
I still chuckle over the LI3 package! 10 hours of AC then you have to start up your 6 cylinder motor for a few hours to charge your batteries just to do it all over again lol why not just get the generator options it would be much cheaper with the price of gas lol 1 cylinder engine vs 6 its a no brainer! great video as always
So we just got back from a 3 week tour out to Sask visiting Family, Friends and GrandChildren!!!!!! We rented from Canadream, a Canadian Rental firm, they have switched from PleasureWay to Coachman. They originally rented Canadian Made PleasureWay ,(Ontours) but called them Plateaus as they were originally built for Canadreams! The model number of the Coachman Beyond should be POS! So different from the Canadian Made PleasureWay Product!!!!!!! This was not the unit you reviewed here, LSI or what ever the acronym was, but the PW was a far superior unit. Lithium STANDARD, better Truma System, more storage, better lavatory, more counter space, HMI standard, front and back Storage, Better Front and Back window coverings......just Canadian Know How as opposed to Mass Produced crap! We love our Neighbours to the south, but you have to call a Spade a Spade. The Ford Transit Chassis is my All Time Fav! So the Chassis did exactly we we would expect, but the seats where not up to par and sometimes the collision control stuff was annoying to say the least. If we were to buy, it would be Ford, but would be most definitely BE PW!!!!!!!
Any chance you can do a video talking about the various options available and what makes one better than another? For instance, why would I want a residential refrigerator or a DC compressor fridge or a DC/propane fridge? I know most of your viewers are here for the reviews, but there's likely a lot of people shopping for their first RV.
This is a nice b-van ..... but I have seen the one that has a bathroom in the back . I think it's a better one ..in my opinion .. Thank you.. appreciate you both.. for sharing ....👍 See you next time🤗😁😊
They should have made it in a wide body and then the shower would have been bigger and easier to use, an extra 6to9 inches wider will make it easier to use the toilet and shower would be easier too, I guess its not got a generator, or i would think that the battery and solar and engine is going to be enough to charge
I test drove one of these last year, and ABSOLUTELY loved it, as far as the drive goes. I do not like the bathroom in this model, and in fact prefer the twin bed model that can convert to queen, with the bath in the rear of the coach, but you do sacrifice the big refer with that floorplan. I’m not sure if I prefer the lithium model, or the generator model. I’d probably go with the gennie due to cost considerations. I also do not like induction cooktops. Finally, where in the heck do you store the stinky slinky in this rig? Inside? Ewwww!
Matt, less negativity. Class b vans are tight. Stuffing an rv interior into a standard van will never be spacious, that’s obvious. Your disdain for these micro rv’s takes away from the clever use of the limited space to work with. Give the viewers an unbiased review. A friend has a bolt, he and his wife are runners and in great shape. Where I felt cramped a little in their van, they seem to have plenty of room, even in the compact bathroom. some of us just need more space.
Matt, need to get a Lavalier type Mic, wireless type. That will help with audio away from camera and windy conditions.
I highly recommend the Rode Wireless Go 1 or 2. They both come with wind guards as well.
First: The bathroom has a little feature where you can use that spacer on the left door (you can see the hinge and spacer as Matt closes the doors @14:04) which lets you close the doors at a slight angle outward, giving just a bit more room inside the wet bath when in use. I would have liked to see you show that.

Excellent review! Of course I’m biased - I’m watching it from my 2021 Beyond 22D Li3 from along the lake here at the rally 😃👍
Matt, climb on top of every RV, spin BOTH the seats, every time. Love the videos, thank you. Andrea is awesome!
Love the wood, hate the basin wasting space in the bathroom - when will they learn?!
Love the bed, love the screen doors to allow everything to be open. Freezer needs to be pull-out so you don't have to stand on your head to get things out, but great size! Several of your recent videos have had very poor outdoor audio. Is there an easy fix for that? You guys rock!
I noticed that too!
They can just blame it on Jen with the post editing! lol
It’s not just poor it’s garbage and it’s a cheap fix. RODE has a very good wireless mike system for about $400.
I understand government regulations (not really) for the front passenger seat having to be facing forward to drive but it has always bugged me a little. There is a workaround for the sensor, a jumper.
@@gme5802 one of the first mods I would do then! Just in case!
Had not thought of that but it is a very good point.
I think that the bathroom should be like a lot of the European manufacturers that have a sink that folds up into the wall and out of the way.

The specs above show an Onan generator, 2 burner stove. Not as you described in video
Sometimes manufacturers have the old specs.it’s very possible it was the wrong specs.they probably haven’t updated it yet

Would have been better if it had a convection microwave instead of a regular microwave.
Can a wheel chair ramp be put on this door and have the passenger seat removed so a wheel chair can be parked there? The wheel chair is under 100 pounds.
Matt - I love your videos, but you have to get better sound.
You didn't even have to play Tetris to make the bed. Just push a button and that's it.
Like the swivel chairs, wish the laguna table were easier, and wish there was a better plan for the shower curtain

Great videos, its time to get lav mic. Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2 with the GoPro Media Mod is a great fit.
I am planning on getting the beyond 22C
If I was to full time in one of these I'd have to get the one with the rear bathroom. These front ones just seem like theyre for emergencies only
In the future, can you mention the miles per gallon for each RV that has a motor. Thanks
Hi matt. I almost never been camping or living in a rv. But you can teach me how to take care of a rv. And im only 19
Leisure Travel Van Wonder is the best...hands down
would like this unit without the commode just the shower
Did y’all change companies?
So much wind
It needs a convection microwave and a somehow a bit more storage. I really wish the front was nicer like the Mercedes.
This is a nice b-van ..... but
I have seen the one that has a bathroom in the back . I think it's a better one ..in my opinion ..
Thank you.. appreciate you both.. for sharing ....👍
See you next time🤗😁😊
I thought the cross trek was a B+ (c)
If this had a raisable roof top tent like the Solis, then i think the price would work for me.
Lovely style choices. But that bathroom is tough. Thanks for estimating a sales price. This is shopping for a lot of is.
Bad mic work on this one.
my only dislike is only one burner. i would prefer two burners. i love everything about this travel van!!
The tv is way too close to the couch. Move the closet.
This is a perfect example of why Matt hates Class Bs👍$200,000 but he can’t poop or shower, he can’t store anything, and he has to sleep on a couch🤣🤣🤣
Next. Class V. MSRP made me rofl. I wouldn't pay a 1/3rd of that price.
LIKE THE AWD THE REAR AREA THE LAGOON TABLE DON’T LIKE THE LITHIUM PACKAGE NO ELECTRIC DOOR NO CONVECTION MICROWAVE
Audio it really bad so sorry 😞. That awning configurations is just asking for it to get caught on something I’ll just stick with a class C
They should have made it in a wide body and then the shower would have been bigger and easier to use, an extra 6to9 inches wider will make it easier to use the toilet and shower would be easier too, I guess its not got a generator, or i would think that the battery and solar and engine is going to be enough to charge
Should have installed a convection oven. 🤦♀️
i love it
Nice but too expensive for a van.
Great camper but the price doesn't reflect the architectural caliber.
