    My son also has autism. It gives him the ability to remember everything. He is high functioning and is married with a daughter of his own and works as a manager in retail. He has always refused to allow people to label him and uses it as his super weapon because his memory allows him to study laws and speak them back ver Batam. More power to you in your fight

      @@wendyford2252 it’s a blessing and a curse for me. While my memorization is great, as clearly demonstrated here, my ability to keep what everyone else considers a “calm tone” is a lot harder for me. Most people take my passion for being upset or raising my voice/yelling when I’m really not. It’s just the fact that I can’t always control those aspects due to the disability, and therefore face bias due to it.

    See, this may sound petty, but that lady trying to get you to do it online is exactly what's wrong with government at the moment. Sure, doing things online is more convenient for a lot of people, but every single open records or freedom of information act that I'm aware of says that you can file reports in person (and you can hand it in to any government employee and it is their responsibility to forward it to the custodian of record, not yours). If everything is online these days like they're so fond of saying, then why the hell are we still paying them to stand around in a building that we are paying for? And she even had the damned form right there, she didn't even have to take two steps to get it, so why play that game? I just don't understand it, I never would have let my employees do some disrespectful crap like that, but I guess that's just what happens when there is no accountability.

    • @DLCoates1
      @DLCoates1  4 дні тому +1

      @@lorehammer40k4 not to mention in order to foia request online, you have to give a ton of personal info. Info that you don’t have to give unless being suspected of having committed, committing, or about to commit a crime.

      @lorehammer40k4 4 дні тому +2

      @@DLCoates1 True, in addition to the fact that even if their online form gave you the option to file so-called "anonymously" they would still have your IP without gives them literally everything they would want to know about you from your ID in addition to a thousand other pieces of identifying information that they shouldn't need (or even want), just to fulfill a basic open records request. There is an incredibly good reason to not want to share your personally identifying information when requesting public records, not the least of which is targeted harassment at the hands of these goons who are rightfully afraid of their corruption coming to light.

      It's a funny story. I don't know if you're old enough to remember Bert Robinson pharmacy. It was on a corner next to the Skagit river, right behind the old Mt Vernon Cafe. My dad and grandpa decided to camp out in the store and wait for another break in. The guy came by and threw a rock thru the glass door and waited to see if there was an alarm. A half hour later he came back and said I'm coming in and I have a gun. My dad and grandpa both had .44 magnums with hot hand loads in them. My grandpa cocked the hammer on his and the guy heard it and ran. My dad was yelling stop or I'll shoot. Then he fired a couple of rounds near the guy who ran down to the river and hid. That gun threw out a 3 foot fireball at night! The cops came out and found him freezing in the river and all he could say was the man in white... He was trying to kill me!!! Lol the 1970s were a different time! You couldn't get away with that today.

    LEOs have to be assertive, sometimes aggressive, hostile - even lethal - toward criminals. This requirement often has the unfortunate effect of carrying over to non-criminals, because LEOs are human beings, not machines. We want them to competently respond to mass shootings, fatal accidents, fender benders, thieves, stop drunk drivers and/or those with weapons, nosy neighbors and lost babies, abused children and adults. We ask an awful lot. FFS, FORGIVE them when they aren't mind-readers and/or don't switch personalities fast enough to keep up with the ever-evolving public. Cut them some freaking slack, just like you want from them.
    I take civil rights seriously, but find it difficult to take seriously those who *expect perfection and infallibility from other human beings*, resulting in "civil rights" being treated like a game with which to be toyed. Freedom carries responsibility. Try walking in LEO shoes before you're so very willing to cut them to shreds. I've never worn a pair of LEO shoes, but my powers of observation and understanding are intact.

      @@workingcomment1145 have you watched any of my other videos? They’ve been refusing for over a year. Telling me it’s not a crime and lying about the rcw’s. • @workingcomment1145
      @workingcomment1145 3 години тому

      @@DLCoates1 You missed my point, but maybe that's my fault. I'm actually glad there's auditors like you, but encouraging the less careful to just "demand" that LEOs know _every expectation/law of every citizen at all times_ is not reality, and no way for the general public to say, _"Thanks, we know it would be a jungle out here without the likes of you."_ I completely understand that _careful, informed_ citizens _can and should_ keep the police on their toes, even teach them a thing or two, but not all citizens, police and/or departments are the same.
      I'm saying you need a caveat on your videos, something which states that _you_ understand that _you're_ not a sov cit, or a nut who would try to hold a court trial during a traffic stop. Something to state that you're _balanced and reasonable_ in both your approach and efforts. Our country needs responsible citizens like you, willing to stand against abuses of power, but without the caveat, lesser informed citizens are demanding their attorneys before they'll hand over their drivers' licenses after breaking traffic laws. They don't understand that an _imminent threat_ gives police the right to enter a citizen home without a warrant. They're getting in LEO faces, shouting and demanding things to which they're not legally entitled. - They don't know the law like you do, and wrongfully assert non-existent rights, putting themselves at risk of arrest and physical harm. I've seen them take their recording devices into courtrooms against lawful prohibitions, get slammed to the ground and hauled off to jail.
      The caveat should be a strongly worded disclaimer that you've read, know and follow all applicable laws, and that anyone who doesn't do the same is risking their freedom, safety and even their lives. LEOs are stressed enough, and it's not their job to teach citizens _which_ law they happen to be enforcing.
      Be well.
