Sing Sing is the BEST MOVIE of the year and deserves nominations in most categories. The movie was shot on 16 mm film, in 19 days, with a very small crew. The DP, Pat Scola should be nominated for an Oscar for cinematography because the visual look, the lighting, the film choice, all created the naturalistic atmosphere to tell the story. Accompanied with Bryce Dessner's score that sells the beautiful scenes and intimate facial expressions. And kudos to the director, Greg Kwedar, who allowed dialogue to be ad-libbed at times, which created the emotional essence throughout the film that tugs at your heart. The cast deserves best ensemble because 90% of the cast are the formerly incarcerated men that participated in the RTA theater program while in Sing Sing and that authenticity shines. And what can you say about Coleman Domingo.... he deserves the Oscar this year, his performance is perfectly understated, and he allows the other men to shine because this is their story. Well Done!! Also, Clarence Maclin and Paul Raci both deserve best supporting nominations. Their performances tie the strings that pull the film to its brilliance. Best movie overall in a very long time and well worth the emotional journey.
Best Actress is either Mikey Madison or Demi Moore.
Best Actor is either Colman Domingo or Adrien Brody.
Best Supporting Actor and Actress are locked for Kieran Culkin and Ariana Grande.
It'd be such a steal if Ariana is not nominated, I was stunned by her performance.
@@giovuolo123 me too. I think she’s definitely safe for the nomination, it’s just a matter of she wins or not in my opinion.
Zoe saldana has more screen time than the lead, the academy may even push her to lead
Ariana is taking best supporting
The only reason why Saldana would win this, is because she is more of an established actress than Grande.
I don't think Emilia Perez is gonna make it into Best Picture at this point with the continuing negative response from the public. I still think Zoe Saldana could win regardless, but I believe she'll be the only one to break through. I can't see 3 of the top 5 Supporting Actress being in films that don't make it to Best Picture. So I think if Saldana is in that means Selena Gomez is out - especially if Danielle Deadwyler still makes the cut. If Emilia Perez doesn't make Best Picture I can't see it still getting 3 acting nominations (assuming Karla Sofia Gascon still makes Lead Actress). If I had to make a guess now the top 5 would be Saldana, Grande, Jones, Rossellini and either Deadwyler or Barbaro.
@@PowerDiva yeah I can see that happening. Like I said, I’m very close to moving Selena out, I’m just hesitant with the other contenders so I’m leaving her in right now solely cause of that. I can easily see her missing depending on how much Emilia Perez continues to drop though.
For Supporting Actor I agree with your Top 5, though I'd move Denzel and Edward Norton up a spot and put Kieran Culkin at number 5. I actually think Yura Borisov is probably number 6 but he'll miss the Oscar.
Curious why you say wicked changed your Main Acting picks
@@timmlauckner2810 I moved Erivo up into my 5 after seeing Wicked. She’s just as good as Grande so it would feel weird to have one get in and the other not, plus I think Erivo is pretty likely to get GG, CCA, and SAG noms.
Everybody acts like Danielle deadwyler is owed an oscar nomination, why?
Her film is not good and she will likely not get a nomination.
It is not about her being owed. Deadwyler was absolutely amazing and the MVP. Her performance in the film is Oscar clip after Oscar clip.
You're one of the few people who is still putting felicity jones on their list.
Many people have removed felicity Jones fro their list cause she is not campaigning yet.
