First Alabama? No disrespect to their current program as they’ve had a ton of success but there is a strong argument to make that they don’t invest like they have without Pearl getting Auburn going. What does it take to become a basketball school?
Pearl took over the worst program in college basketball. This overall win percentage is dragged down by his first couple of years building the program up from scratch. Since 2017, the first year where everyone on the team was a Pearl recruit, Auburns win percentage is 0.750%. Even that number is dragged down by a 13-14 Covid season.
