Best way to keep the mechanical watch powered is all the fuckin that happens when the ladies see the cumerbund. Also sorry ladies but the Kangol hat stays ON during the deed
Just waiting for that one contrarian who says they wear one exclusively on their onanistic hand, and maintains that the results are as good, if not better, than the fuckin' method.
Loved the review. Your humor and approach is exactly what the watch review...genre?...community?... needs. Very curious to see how you watch taste evolves over time (mine has changed quite drastically).
My favorite knife reviewer is getting in to my favorite thing, watches! This is great. So great in fact that i as a 28? Year old man am leaving a comment on youtube. Feels weird... Wild times we live in i tell you.
The Nick now has a serious competitor for watch reviews, Mr. AdvancedKnifeBro! And I appreciate the subtle finger semaphores you flashed while modeling the watch - something The Nick is never going to do.
Thanks for all the shots of the watch on your wrist from afar! It’s a shot your don’t normally see in reviews but I’m always longing for. What the thing looks like to other people who aren’t 3 inches away from your wrist!
I just started getting into watches myself about a week and a half ago, ordered my first orient Mako 3. It’s nice to know that we can go through this journey together hand-in-hand, or hand in back pocket
I’m stoked that you are tackling this subject. Knives, flashlights, watches, and sometimes video games…just missing firearms to reach the pinnacle of YouTubing.
This was hilarious! Ive been watching your torch and knife videos for a while but didn't realize I wasn't subbed until now. Consider it both liked and subbed hahaha!
This is a nice video and a nice highlight of a watch. I thought we should not get into watches though When do you think you will damage a watch due to doing a knife review?
That is a really lovely dial on this piece. I just happen to find the 4 o clock crowns visually disturbing, useful as the location may be. The price of these seems very OK, too. You might want to look at some Laco watches if the military styling is your thing.
Great review! Love Vario. Welcome to the club, it was only a matter of time! I got a Seiko 5 a few years ago, thinking "this is all I really need" and now I have 100+ watches LOL. The addiction is real, man! I'm looking forward to more watch reviews from AKB. I think that your truly amazing video/editing skills will shine is this arena. Awesome first watch review!
Hey man, I really hope current geopolitics don’t psych you out of doing the Vostok Amphibia. I watch your videos for the humor mostly, but I’ve been actively anticipating that release since you mentioned getting one
I have it and I might get around to it. It arrived right after the shit hit the fan… and I’d really not have anyone trying to think I’m making a statement. I’ll get to it eventually
Good effort for a Yank .. I have owned my 40mm 'Brass on Bund' Vario Trench Watch with engraved case back for months now - & it has grown to be my "Beater" wear by choice when I'm not wearing something 'cos I 'ought-to' be testing it & out of a sense of duty - assuring it that I still love it. May I assure you that even down here in New Zealand - under our cloths we all are nudists. Cheers.
I got this but I chose the cream dial and brass case as brass cases would have been the most common during ww1. Now trench watches in ww1 weren't really made by companies but the lugs were welded onto pocket watches by trench blacksmiths. Also I chose brass so it gets that nice beautiful patina
I was flirting with the watch guy lifestyle, then I got a G-shock with multiband and solar. Something about having an indestructable watch that's always right and likely won't need a new battery until the next decade kind've took the wind out of my sails. Unfortunately, I haven't found a knife that does the same trick.
Another great video. Your dry sense of humor. The monotonous drone of your voice makes you sound like you subsist solely on a cocktail of cough medicine and beer. You've got the most entertaining content out there. It's nice to see you doing watches now too.
What’s that one thing Nick Shabazz always says about watches? I feel that the watch acquisitions logically follow the slipjoint acquisitions, so that the next sweet sweet EDC gear rush when the magic fades from watches will have to be have to be either bespoke titanium screw drivers or premium modern traditional flannel.
Nick warned you about getting into watches. All this means the knife budget is getting undermined. The knife budget is not to be effed with. Damn, it looks you're already in too far to be pulled out of the horology vortex.
Nice looking watch but I'll stick to my g-shock because I'm a very tactical man. I would wear that while shooting my 1917 SMLE though. The guys at the range already think I'm a jerk.
I own 11 watches and I STILL don't understand watch people, moreover I don't even understand myself when I'm shopping for watches. Very different from my knife obsessions, but good luck explaining that anyone else.
got here cause of the tire plug video, but I have a WWI documentary open in the other window that is paused (Doomsday: World War 1 | Extra Long Documentary). Maybe this is a sign.
If you're into watches, never ever get close to the casio waveceptor models. I used to be like you, then I found those watches and bought one and it just killed every other watch. There is no going back once you experience a perfect watch. You've been warned.
I really love the design, a design that I have been searching for a long time. Then I find out it’s a “Screw-Down” crown which I truly hate. No one does a true review of screw-downs being used everyday for over a year to see if the threads last that long. Keep in mind that this watch is automatic and yes you do have to hand wind these watches everyday. That means unscrewing and screw it close everyday which means it gets worn down. If it were a push pull crown then simply wind it up each day. I am sick of screw-downs and nobody being honest about it.
I’d like to dispute one thing. If you wear this watch every day and take it off at night you will not have to wind it once a day. Sure if you have 8 watches and you intermittently wear them, that’s the case. I’ve worn this for a week straight without winding.
The movement? The miyota seems a more efficient self winder, and winds with less movement. But that’s just an observation. The seiko has a date that the miyota doesn’t have.
Best way to keep the mechanical watch powered is all the fuckin that happens when the ladies see the cumerbund. Also sorry ladies but the Kangol hat stays ON during the deed
Going to pin this amazing tip.

Just waiting for that one contrarian who says they wear one exclusively on their onanistic hand, and maintains that the results are as good, if not better, than the fuckin' method.
I wondered what was wrong with my game. Ordered and ready for the onslaught.
This is exactly the sort of practical advice you're not going to find on all those boring-ass watch nerd channels.
As a watch nerd this is the moment I've been waiting for.
I didn't even know I was a watch nerd until I watched this.
Same here!
Never change. I love the commentary and get a great chuckle ever 15 seconds it seems.
YES. The YT watch community could definitely use some AKB humor. Looking forward to more watch reviews!
That, sir, was the best watch review I've seen in awhile. I loved it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like the Vario and their designs, this Trench watch is sweet! I came here from your New Hamilton review....good stuff!
Just subscribed too. 👍
Holy shit man the sheer amount of dry humor you managed to shove into this is mind boggling. Well played sir.
I love your totally unique and humorous style! Instant subscriber. Thanks!
The shot of you throwing the watch at the stump absolutely sent me! 😂 Peak AKB content. Never change.
Loved the review. Your humor and approach is exactly what the watch review...genre?...community?... needs. Very curious to see how you watch taste evolves over time (mine has changed quite drastically).
It's good to see watch reviews from someone who isn't a dealer.
AKB watch reviews is what my life was missing.
I fully endorse this foyer into the world of horology. Looking forward to the next one!
No idea what I watched but I watched every glorious tick.
My favorite knife reviewer is getting in to my favorite thing, watches! This is great.

not even 5 seconds in and you get an upvote! ty for the smiles!
I don´t care what you review, I´m here to avoid working. there will always be a need for that. Love the channel
Thanks for all the shots of the watch on your wrist from afar! It’s a shot your don’t normally see in reviews but I’m always longing for. What the thing looks like to other people who aren’t 3 inches away from your wrist!
This is a dope looking watch man.
This channel is like a one stop shop for things I love thank you good sir.
When you manually moved the hands forward , you Advanced your Watch Bro , lol . Somewhere ,a man in a Batman mask is smiling !
I'll give you a tip alright...
Try to wash your dishes while you cook,it makes the clean up at the end go by much faster.
Good looking watch…love the size of the numbers.
I just started getting into watches myself about a week and a half ago, ordered my first orient Mako 3. It’s nice to know that we can go through this journey together hand-in-hand, or hand in back pocket
I just bought a $600 Hamilton. 🤦♂️
I’ll be jealously awaiting your review, great content man
I’m stoked that you are tackling this subject. Knives, flashlights, watches, and sometimes video games…just missing firearms to reach the pinnacle of YouTubing.
once. he does firearms, he's gonna be your walmart
@@williamli8708 Well, maybe Walmart from three years ago. Now I can no longer buy my chewing tobacco and ammo there.
Yeah we're gonna need some more of these Advanced Drip Bro videos ASAP.
Watch was steel. Review was gold.
Good to know that the watch matches with the Twisted Sisal t-shirt. Even better, learnt that this watch has gears and shit. Thanks for sharing!
Please continue making watch reviews. This video brought me to your channel and I am now a huge fan. I ugly laughed several times thru this video.
I surely will!
Good lord I could watch you review anything.
Interesting. Thanks for the video.
Great lookin piece man, I have been looking at these as im trying to step my watch game up.
Well done 👍
Very cool. Review more watches.
Down the rabbit hole ye' go!
Props on the Val Lewton movie collection.
Great review, thanks for filming ~ abrikadoobie
LOL niiice- know absolutely zero about watches but love how the timepiece is held w the leather strap - pretty badass my man

i would loooove for you to do more watch reviews
You are our fashion leader. I am trying to follow your lead.
Honestly, watching you getting into watches is gonna be fucking awesome! I’m excited….🥳😉😏
Love your knife reviews...this. This though, EXCELLENT! Looking forward to more horological musings.
Bro, now you done made me want a medic watch. >.
This is a nice video and a nice highlight of a watch. I thought we should not get into watches though
When do you think you will damage a watch due to doing a knife review?
Mark, you’re magical, like a UA-cam unicorn or something. This was great, make more watch vids for us to…watch?
Hi Patrons!
@7:03 I'm glad Jeffrey Combs made a guest appearance on this episode of Deep Space Nine :D
Frighteners combs is my favorite combs
Watches, knives....it never ends. Story of my life.

It begins...
Classy watch. I have been looking at it, but I just bought a CWC. Your reviews, as always, are great and entertaining
A watch review for the rest of us. It's about time.
I see what you did there

I’ve been addicted to Vostoks for the last six months. This is going to cost me more money now that AKB is in the game. Dangit.
I didn’t pay for upgraded shipping- vostoks still in Russia
What a shit day I'm having today, this definitely helps 👍
Dude, baton that fuckin thi.... Oh wait, you did. Did we just become besties?

There is a reason why G-Shock rhymes with Glock.
My Omega watch on my wrist that I have had for 20 years still works quite well. Go big on watches and you won’t have to have a “collection”
Should of had a bayonet with the trench watch review dude!
I got the M3 around here somewhere

Yeah I fuck with the watch vids.
You've got the bug. ....I'm sorry for your family's loss.
..Also, The Time Teller has a pretty cool YT channel that isn't all serious and watch snobby
Yeah buddy! 😊
I don’t really care for the watch, but I love your videos so I watched the whole watch video and hope to watch more videos about watches from you.
I saw your IG story and that the views were lower than average. I’m watching as a pity-view. 🤪
My man. It’s not getting much love here!

Me too. Isn't it sickening how it always works all the time? Maybe you need to replace a crusty watchband every couple years, but that's it.
Advanced Watch Bro coming this year.
next watch any of the steeldive range ,best bang per buck
Just bought one. Always trust a greasy, wet and lookin-like-shit knife bro. Thanks for the research and sharing.

My citizen app just alerted me of a creepy guy with a watch leaning against houses in the neighborhood.

Sweet
which one is better, the Seiko or the miyota?
The movement? The miyota seems a more efficient self winder, and winds with less movement. But that’s just an observation. The seiko has a date that the miyota doesn’t have.
And also I think screw down crowns- a little less friendly to winding on a whim.
@@AdvancedKnifeBro thanks!!
