99% is too low- that would mean that if you grabbed 1000 people off the street at random, about 10 of them would be able to play this. I think you'd get 1 if you were lucky.

@@Guurzak We would probably be at 1 in a million if we really did the math. Or lower. With substantial practice I could probably get this but within a 30-60 minute window I doubt many people could just pick up their guitars and nail this.

Guitar is crazy like that. If you're in the top 0.1%, still 8 million people are better than you. When you think about it though, that means a lot of the greats even on youtube are in like the top 0.0005% or so, where like 40 thousand people are still better.
This specific style, not many people play so even among amazing players this way of playing is so unique and different that they wouldn't be able to do it without a lot of specialized practice in this area. Realistically how many people really could play this, with very good accuracy, given a few days to practice? Ten thousand? Five thousand? Five hundred?

What i read: There is an estimated 712 million persons in the world that can play a guitar. 10% of the world population. This is an opinion: Out of the 712 million, maybe 1% can dare try this … and maybe only a fraction of a fraction can succeed with this quality. It is more likely 0.000001 all guitar players can play this ….712 guitarists worldwide out of 195 countries. That is 3.6 persons per country that can play this successfully. Is this percentage still too large?

Yeah because its retarded. Stuff like this only hurts the mindset of learning musicians. 99% of people could play this if they sat down for a few days. Any guitsrist worth their salt can nail this in hours. Theres nothing crazy at all going on here, its called arpeggios, hes actually only playing a handful of chords but he plays each note individually in sequence. The polyphony honestly just depends, some people have a good feel for polyphony others just dont, its more practiced on classical style / nylon like this than anywhere else so maybe thats the wildest part but almost every other classical piece is sporting polyphony so....
For real people need to stop making music seem like its some wizardry that theyll never achieve. The bar is much lower than people try to make it out to be. Who knows why they even do it, ego? Being stupid as fuck? This is why when I start teaching anyone a lot of them have this crushing feeling like they'll never be able to play the way tbeir idol does or something because people blow it WAY out of proportion.
