This was such a nice cosy video! You've really made me consider taking up knitting again even though it's been 15 years since I've knit anything. The thought of being able to make my own cute winter wear is amazing! Also Poirot❤
catching up on your videos & noticing you're cooking in your old kitchen. I didn't realize this was a move back into that home for you. it's so lovely with such great light. I can see why you wanted to settle back in!
I loved your Vlogmas! I was surprised to learn you are not a baker! For some reason I thought you were..? And I loved that Bryan (I hope I spelled his name correctly) knows you so well, that he immediately told you to just stick to the recipe 😂! Baking gets easier once you get the feel for it. Then you just know if you can leave out some sugar (you usually can), or if you can substitute one thing for another, and it takes time to get to know your oven (it takes me about a year to get to know a new oven). I have been baking all my life, and I still mess up! It happens! I would love to learn how you made the bone broth, I didn't know you should put vinegar in it?! Do you, perhaps, have a recipe? The shawl is absolutely gorgeous! You are right to be proud! Love the socks too! I got Covid this month as well, after all these years of being able to avoid it! And at first it was a rough couple of days, but then I improved, but then I got worse again... I have asthma, so my lungs are struggling a bit. It's taking a lot longer than I had hoped for me to improve again..! Hope Bryan feels better soon, wish him well 🍀🤞🍀
Watching you try new things and succeed or feel OK about failing at them is good fodder for getting me inspired to continue with my own projects. Thank you for all the work you put into these vlog videos!
Pie crust tip: freeze the butter and then grate with a box grater. We do this with pie dough and biscuits...makes it a whole lot easier. Good looking pie!
Everything you do Alicia is Fun, Amazing, Inspiration, and a Joy to watch. Your shawl turned out GORGEOUS. Happy Holiday Season to the whole Family. Luv, Cynthia 🌲🎁🎅🦌⭐❤🙏✍
I loved your vlog! Bravo on finishing your beautiful shawl and making your first pie. Both were works of beauty. You seem to be good at whatever you try ... doll making, cello playing, journaling, hiking, and now knitting and baking! I hope Bryan/Brian feels better soon. Thank you for the virtual cookie!
I love the scrappy socks and your shawl! Your first pie looked beautiful! I’m convinced you can do anything! I have a super easy pie dough recipe called “Never fail pie crust” and it’s a winner. I have used the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook apple pie recipe for 30 years and it’s won a couple pie contests. Super easy to make! Keep making pies you will perfect it I’m sure! Enjoyed your video.
I loved this format. It was so cozy and peaceful. I’d love to see more vlogs from you if it’s something that you enjoy doing. Thanks for sharing, and Happy Holidays to you and your family🎄
I haven't been feeling the Christmas season either and watching vlogmasses give me some of the holiday cheer. So I'm excited for these videos you are making 😊 Great job on the shawl, it looks amazing! Congrats 🎉
Congratulations on your shawl, it looks amazing. I hope Bryon is completely recovered and enjoying the season! I wish you wouldn’t put so much pressure on yourself and just relax and enjoy your knitting. It should be a fun time and a peaceful relaxing time. Thanks for the cookie and god bless. l
Your take on Vlogmas was so relaxing & festive. You did a wonderful job on your first pie! As a professional baker, it always warms my heart to see someone tackle a new kitchen skill.
Oh I love this video, all the sock updates, pie making and walks when you figured out your shawls troubles :) Enjoy watching you and you made me think about making an apple pie:) Looking forward to watch more:), all best, Monika
Thank you for sharing these little snippets of your life! I love watching vlog content - especially yours! - and whenever I try to create my own, I’m reminded of how much work it is. Your shawl turned out so well, and your enthusiasm for it was contagious. I still have yet to tackle knitting socks. It’s been on my list forever, but I continue to be intimidated by them. 😅 Maybe this winter, it will finally happen!
I'm so happy you're enjoying the season this year. The shawl looks amazing! Congratulations on finishing it. I always really enjoy watching your longer videos. I sit and knit during them.
So many good things to see in this vlog! The shawl turned out so beautiful!!! The Kaweco Art Sport and an apple pie too. You are spoiling us. Hope Bryan feels better soon. My family and I are all sick with RSV, but this made the day brighter!
The kids are learning about South America? Being from Brazil, i really enjoyed seeing all the drawings ! Also, i want to suggest a "neck, pen and key, carrying device" 😀. Carthartt makes a product called "NYLON DUCK ID HOLDER AND LANYARD", made of really tuff nylon, with pockets and a pen loop. Being using mine a lot at work. Thanks for the video.
What a great and most enjoyable video - thank you so much! It was lovely to see this visual journal of your week and share your enthusiasm for the upcoming holidays!
This was such a fun video. I loved when Bryan told you to bake the recipe as it was and that you’d be able to tweak it in the future. I laughed out loud because that’s exactly what my husband tells me. I’m not a good cook or baker by any means. In fact, it’s my husband who does 80% of our cooking. 😂 Anyway, it’s always lovely to catch up with you and super cool to see your classroom too! Have an excellent week!!
Oh my gosh!!!!! You are so stinking awesome! Going to work with you was amazing. Your classroom is perfectly you! The shawl turned out amazing. So much fun to visit with you!!!!
If it would help, you could put lifelines in your lacework. That way, if there is a problem you can easily drop back to your lifeline without too much drama 😊.
Oh my gosh that is brilliant! I’m picking up knitting again for the first time in years and trying my first socks and this tidbit just made me soo happy!
Merry Christmas. I enjoyed this vlogmas format. BTW, I just got the same Kaweco pen. If you haven't done so yet, you should hold it up to a light. The barrel is translucent, which was a nice surprise.
Is that your classroom?! It's so lovely! I am a teacher and we have small cinderblock rooms with tiny windows. I wanted you to know I JUST finished knitting my first pair of socks and you inspired me to make them. I use a tiny 9" circular needle because I don't like dpns but I will try magic loop next. Happy holidays!
Congratulations on finishing your socks!!! How do they feel?? I’ve yet to try the tiny 9”, did you like it? And yes, that’s our classroom! We are very fortunate to have such a sunny space.
I did like the tiny 9” circular needles. I followed a tutorial a UA-camr did converting the vanilla sock pattern to the circulars. It was so helpful. I’m proud of my socks and they fit great! May try one from the ‘52 Weeks’ book next! Thanks so much for your reply. I love your channel! Enjoy Winter Break - one more day of school for us!
I wasn't a fan when David Suchet's performance of Poirot became a bit angry/mean towards the end of the series. I preferred it when he was more light-hearted and warm in the earlier seasons. Great job on your shawl and first-time pie! Amazing accomplishments, you should be very proud! 😁
Great to see your Video. Thanks. Not in a christmas mood yet, because where I live it is celebrated 24./25. of december. So, two weeks yet to come. But I am really looking forward to the Video about the Kaweco ArtSport (What's the material like?). I have it on my list, but it will have to wait until next year, since I just ordered a Conklin Crescent filler in the Mark Twain Limited Edition in Brass yesterday and am therefore now out of pen money for the rest of the year. Looking forward to it and the ArtSport, though. Thanks for sharing Videos. You're great.
I absolutely love your shawl and socks! What a wonderful talent you have -- WOW. I would totally be interested in purchasing from you if you'd be interested.
I’m such a David Suchet fan, it’s hard for me to fully enjoy Branagh’s Poirot. I was happy to watch the movies and see his interpretation, but Suchet’s portrayal has a warmth to the characters that I think Branagh lacks.
I love all of your videos but this was AMAZING! So many fun things. You are such an inspiration. I’ve finally decided to move on from just knitting scarves. 52 Weeks of Easy Knits arrived this week and I can’t wait to figure out what I’m going to try. And by the way making pie crusts is very hard you should be proud of yourself. It looked wonderful. Merry Christmas!🎄

What a wonderful treat it must be to put on those cozy socks you made👍

What a great and most enjoyable video - thank you so much! It was lovely to see this visual journal of your week and share your enthusiasm for the upcoming holidays!
There are so many wonderful knitting vlogmas videos🎄
Just not enough minutes in the day🎄. Crazy Sock Lady
will be your cup of tea🎄.
You’re right about that. She is one of my favorites! :D
The pie looked good ,David Suchet portrayal of Poirot the best ,he had to wear a lot of padding under the suit for the role .
I am such a Suchet fan. I just love his journey and evolution as Poirot.

I cant even put a proper christmas tree this year, puppy and cat would have a ball with it asap...
